    Will Bellinger lead to the Cubs to the postseason?

    • @woundedcrow4606
      @woundedcrow4606 Рік тому +3

      The Cubs are so streaky. They can play well enough to sweep anyone out of the playoffs one week, then lose 3 or 4 straight series. I hope the Cubs make the playoffs because that’ll be the only way Bellinger will pick up his end of the mutual option next year.

    • @danr154
      @danr154 Рік тому

      no. Happ and Suzuki arent good enough support. Dansby is streaky too. They leave a shit ton of dudes on base, not enough slug. The rotation is good but too many samey low power sinker ballers. The bullpen is only one tier better than poop.

    As a Dodger fan I genuinely believed he was done, and his ceiling was now a GG center fielder w maybe a .750 OPS. But how could I ever count out the MVP. I am so glad Belli is back, I’m about to shed a tear. 😭

    His shoulder injury during the 2020 WS also hindered him during 2021. The shoulder injury recovery compunded with the leg injury is a lot to account for the insane drop for 2021 and 2022. Sucks that happened.

    Maybe some ego played into his struggles. He seems very humble now, but he might’ve gotten it into his head that he can swing at anything. He’s been pretty selective this year and only takes those giant hacks of his when he doesn’t have two strikes. Lots of singles with two strikes. Solid, unemotional at-bats since mid-April.

      @woundedcrow4606 Рік тому +4

      @CowboyKillerBeats Baez hasn’t come down yet. It’s no guarantee. Essentially the same circumstances happen to two different people. Baez is lost in the ego madness forever. Bellinger is not. All the credit in the world goes to Bellinger.

    This video completely left out the shoulder injury that he suffered in the 2020 NLCS that caused him to have surgery on his right shoulder. As a Dodgers fan, I believe that they gave up on him too early...typical - they gave up on Pedro Martinez and could have tried harder to keep Piazza. Just like those two, I expect Cody to go on to greater things.

    LOTS of LAD fans trashed this man and wanted him gone knowing he wasn't healthy. You can toss the manager in there also. The LAD quit on a great player for personal reasons, gave the keys to an avg hitter and worse CF at best to save money on a deal he earned, and knowing he wasn't healthy. Good for the Cubs and their fans, they're gonna love that guy.
