Looks like they addressed the brake lever and shifters hitting the frame. I bought a bar with a bit of rise day 2 once i saw that. And where the hell can I buy that swat storage! Riser bars and swat should be standard on all the evos. I also took off the fast track on the back, put the ground control on back and put the butcher up front. Changed the bike completely.
Waiting for my S-Works frame. I will build mine like this except for Sram components, G2 RSC brakes and a Step Cast Fork. The wheels I went with are the DT Swiss XMC 1200 30mm. Can't Wait!
omg that's dangerous, cable should go on the inner side of the fork leg. edit, also the handlebar very inclined downwards (this could be with recording purposes) and suspension/dropper cable seems quite long
Just ordered this bike size L, but gotta wait for 2 months till it's been delivered. Upgrade with Ceramicspeed bsa coated BB, Specialized romin evo mirror saddle, Tubolito s-tubo tube, Continental raceking 29x2.0, Carbon-Ti x-rotor and EBC organic pads, I can make it 670g even lighter, which is gonna be 10.71kg. 😂
As a short guy the Epic and Epic EVO standover height (Epic Small 763, Epic EVO Small 779) just doesn't work for me, similar to the old version of the Crux, the size chart would put me on a small but the standover height is higher than my inseam. I bought a Norco Revolver FS in size small instead instead, the XL Revolver has a shorter standover height than the XS Epic let alone the Epic EVO. While the XS standover heights would work I'm thinking the stack and reach would be too small (The XS EVO has 50mm less reach than my Small Revolver).
This is the third video I’ve seen of this bike and all three have the mtb xc swat box yet it’s not for sale anywhere. Can you tell me where to get one? Can I buy one from your shop? Thank you
no they come stock with thisbike, but they do not have for sale... just like same for groupos coming in on bikes they are avaible on full bikes but i can not order any parts form a sram dealer right now
@@GCPerformance18 Many thanks GC, I have ordered this exact bike but wasn't aware about that. I will trust and won't buy the top tube protector. Great video!
@@jeremyrobinette2563 yea they do! I have to say I haven’t come across anything the epic couldn’t handle yet. Im not the most daring, but it just felt like a much more lively, manageable bike than my stumpy i had. It sucked to pedal but MTB climbing is a beast. Epic climbs well so I am happy and do miss the extra travel but I haven’t come across a situation yet where I really missed the stumpy. They say the new stumpys climb better than before anyway with the fox set up. Good luck finding them though! I had to drive almost 4hrs one way. One shop I visited in Denver always seemed to have stock. Can’t remember the name. Maybe 10 or so miles south of Denver.
@@kentao4 hi Kenny I'm about to buy an epic Evo. I will use it sometimes in Colorado on trips and you feel it's able to handle some downhill trails in Colorado? I was trying to decide between the Stumpy and the Epic evo also but I keep leaning towards Epic Evo as a good all-around bike and I like to climb also and I may lose a little bit suspension travel with not having a Stumpy when I do some downhill but I think with good rider ability and choosing your lines you can still have a good time on the Epic evo on some chunky trails as well as cross country I hope.
@@perseverance9888 I think I agree with that. Never actually rode downhill in CO so I’m not the best reference. But still I think if you pick your lines well you’ll be okay.
come on nowwwww, I am super biased but no lie I think the epic evo this year with the re design and the removal of the brian for the rear shock..... is one of the best all around fun bikes awhile also maintain the cross country completive style of things too, they made the front fork a little more slack and gave it a longer wheel base just in case ur feeling froggy and wanted to hit some nice decents or jumps.... the bike is very nice and u are seeing more people running 120mm travel especially in xc world cup races
WHO built that bike with the front brake hose on the outside of the fork,, LOL Not the factory, Not a pro rider, maybe a roadie that don't get it, DOH !!!! I love my Epic EVO someone should put the rear brake hose on the outside of the chainstay, it would match LOL
Is that weight already with tubeless tyres and what is the weight difference between a size L and a size M? Thank you, great video
Never in my life have I seen straight up vertical lever placement before, thank you
hahahhahah it is super aggresive!!

Still loving my 2021 Epic Evo!!
Me too!
Dang boooooooy! Who mounted that front brake? :O Must be fired. No one observed that crazy cable routing?

Epic! How does the sizing work? I'm about 6.1 and according to the Specialized Retul bike fit guide I should get XL frame size...
Please fix the front brake hose.
those cables!!! thanks for the walk through!
hahahha I knwo but thats how specialized sent to us, but the biek sold a while ago
Very nice looking bike
The fox dropper and suspension definitely makes it lool better
And rockshox leaks😂

The Epic and the Cannondale Lefty are the top choises in the category. Bravo from Greece GC...

I had the same problem 5'6" 30" inseam but when I rode it in the parking lot the stand over didn't seem to be an issue like I thought it would be.
Very nice looking bike!! Finally a mountain bike! Thanks for sharing
Do you know how to get ahold of the carbon link for the suspension?
you have to contact specialized dealer and ask them I thikn they can order it from there warranty site
Mine is on order. Who knows when it will ship.
what size I have some in stock ;)

@@jeremyrobinette2563 can you go to one of my videos and comment? Thanks trying to find one.
that woulda been the bike I got, but went w/ the new 2022 Scott Spark. This evo looks amazing tho.
Hi do the brakes hit the top tube while turning the bars?
They do not, they fixed that

The epic pro is the best deal I think. It's $8600 with axs, dropper post and all that.
Who says you need a Brain. If your not dialed in your dialed out.XTR brakes 2nd to none. Shifting is lacking the smooth affect but works well.
Should I buy one?
Fuck yea!!! It is suck a nice bike. And not worrying about anything proprietary is a huge plus
Why are they not shipping this with the Step Cast 34??
Cuz the step cast sucks
@@MarioXcore1 It is perfect for this bike. The new 2022 model is way better than the older version
Cleannnnn contentt
Thank you!!!
Torn between this and the Stumpy Evo Pro. I want them both but money… 🤔
Let local trails dictate. But I feel that! The stumpy looks amazing but I’d ride it 2x a year!
@@kentao4 I could probably get by on the epic but some of the trails in Colorado call for a little more!

the pro is so nice
Why is it that Specialized MTBs have better colorways than their Roadies these days 😒
Хотелось бы такой велосипед, но очень жаль что он очень дорогой(
