Love the music intro! Leave it to you to find a private campsite at Island Lake, the most crowded place that I have ever camped! Just love this area! It might be a record if you didn't run into anyone on the way back to Elkhart Park. When we went in a few years ago, I think that we must've passed over 100 people on trail
This brings back a lot of great memories and takes me back to a time when my knees didn’t hurt so much😉. We camped very near the waterfall at 27:00 and used the spray to cool off. Decided to follow it up to its source at Stroud glacier after dinner. Unworldly.
That's an amazing loop! Titbomb Basin from Island Lake is one the most beautiful views I have ever had but overrun with people. Agree on thunderstorms at high elevation, the lightening feels so close.
Man, I was there at same time. I was at Island Lake on Monday night and went through Titcomb and over Knapsack on Tuesday and camped on the east side of Peak Lake Tuesday night. Probably walked right past you Wednesday morning heading towards Shannon Pass. Would've loved to have met you. Love your videos!
Honestly, up high, nothing is hard to follow even without a trail in the Wind River Range, it's not inundated with brush like the Bitterroot or Cascades lol. Very forgiving place for off trail travel as long as you aren't opposed to boulder hopping.
Great video and filming. Enjoyed your vacation! Stay safe!!

Hopefully no one in the winds trashed your equipment again. Love your videos. I'm in MT too, so I especially love your videos in the root.
I was at like half of these places on a NOLS course about two years ago. Pretty crazy this popped up in my feed.
Thank you for sharing this video. I live about 2 hours from The Winds and I get there whenever possible. Just beautiful.

Always wanted to go over "Pole Creek Pass" as you call it. I just haven't done it yet!

Depending on how early you were up you probably walked by while I was still snoozing haha
It looks like the trail over Shannon Paas and up to Knapsack is easy to follow.

Americans love rocks. Especially white rocks. The desolation is intriguing.
Yes, the "War On Drugs".
