Something I noticed with the first image: the pistol grip keeps the selector from moving, meaning you can't switch it out of safety. Truly a marvel of modern engineering.
I actually have a 1911 grip module on one of my ARs. You do indeed have to make a small cut on the left grip panel if you're not using a shortened selector lever.
Probably just sloppy. But for reals that's a real pistol grip you can get

Came here just to see if someone else caught it. Better solution is probably to install a 45 degree throw lever
Fun Fact: Kamikoto knives use budget steel, 420j2 steel, which are commonly found on knives in the $25 range. They charge about $300+ per knife set. Please save your money.
Lol no they don't ...the steel they use is the highest quality most durable steel in the 🌎....

You are paying roughly $170 to have the name Kamikoto on your $20 knife. Makes perfect sense to me, do you want to be able to say "I have Kamikoto knives" or not?
If not then buy something cheaper. It's the same thing as buying a Lexus rather than a Toyota, or an iPhone instead of a Galaxy Note. You are buying a name because it makes you feel good. if it doesn't then don't buy it. Jesus guys it's not worth this long ass argument!
*It doesn't make you a bad person to want to get value for your money, and neither does it make you a nerd to want a cool branding on your knives.*

Or use a 45 degree selector
@@charless6136 that too
Fudds carry ... nobody said anything about shooting !!
@@Breakfast_and_Bullets Oh, I'm not remotely saying it isn't nice in its own way. Far more tasteful than having Betty Boop grips on a 1911 (yes, I've seen this for sale, better than the "Wifu" print but...)
Regardless, I'm sure the one in the photo did at least one facepalm after realizing they blocked the selector. Not saying I've never had those moments either, my point was just that was the actual point of the image, not the general concept.
As for the grips, there are just far more comfortable grips for AR's. As for their design, I have 2 1911s. The one I use is far to custom for that, and the other is all original from 1913. In other words, "pretty" grips just are not something I look for, but again, I can't say they look bad if still functionable.
Neat thing about the Calicoes looking like space guns: a short barreled Calico was used for one of the Naboo Security Force blasters
The Calico rifle was even used on Spaceballs
As for the Calico and not carrying many spare helical mags... as I think somebody in Guns & Ammo said about the Striker 12 way back in the 80s, "It may take a long time to reload, but let's face it, if you have a problem that can't be solved with 12 rounds of 00 Buck, you're probably not going to solve it with 24."
Its a good day when Brandon uploads
Let's go Brandon!
Absolutly my friend
It is
Its like D-day !!
Agreed. I've been waiting for his upload.I've watched to many RIP Halo 3 videos.
The most infuriating part about the AR-15 with 1911 grips is that the fire selector switch hits the top of the grips, and doesn't move fully into the "fire" position. You're telling me that you own enough 1911 grips with pearl inlays (people like this own matching sets) to put them on your AR, but you don't own A FUCKING FILE....
Because if a file is near a firearm, the ATF just deletes your dog.
Ahh loaded questions... ('loaded'... 😜)
They would have files... But, they'd also *never* take it to that grip-plate, because *that* would be *altering* the part 😱😱😱
Something of a contradictory irony, I know, but, it's that kind of 'special thinking' that makes projects like this sooo cursed 🙈🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've seen stuff like this before on watch forums, where someone will do something like try and cram a Rolex bezel or dial on their Rolex-clone watch, but God forbid that they actually file it down for a proper fit to the watch-case, because it's *still a genuine Rolex part* , and they can't stand the idea of changing it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
When project ADHD and OCD bump heads, these're the sad results... 🙈🙈🙈🙈
@@thespacedpirate ATF raiding a random ass house for a non-existant shotgun:
It probably has a 45 degree throw lever in it.
The thing is that there is an AR pistol grip on the market where you can put your own 1911 grips on them. Dude could have bought that instead.
The knuckle duster reminded me of something...
About 10 years ago, one of my mates came into possession of a .22 "hand" made gan which consisted of a bolt that had been ground to form a rim fire pin, nut and a spring which you pull back and a 4 inch long barrel which was made out of a 1 inch thick steel rod with what look like a water pipe end cap.
Looked like someone would get hurt, whether or not it was the operator though was anyones guess.
To paraphrase Sean Riley on the 'Apache' knuckleduster, "if anyone managed to hurt somebody with this Seussian marvel, a new word would have to be invented to describe the action. I'm leaning towards 'fistablasting.'"
There are dumb asses who've actually made the knuckleduster mess. You can find pics/schematics on-line.
Personally I think you're better served by a sharp rock...
@@nicholashodges201 And if the rock was obsidian you'd be right, no question. It could leave sharp shrapnel in wounds, which would be ugly because of the irregular shape of the weapon... and we have trouble making *surgical scalpels* as sharp as some edges volcanic glass produces.
@@henrysokol3466 no we don't. They just knap them out of obsidian. You can pick one up online for around $800 last I saw...
@@nicholashodges201 There was a powerful inference that I was comparing knapped obsidian against more orthodox scalpel construction. OBVIOUSLY you can make an obsidian-sharp edge for one with obsidian!

6:30 actually Brandon, there is a type of belt that involves the bolt pushing the cartridge through the belt into the chamber. It's called a push-through belt, one of the most common examples being the FN MAG (M240) platform.
He must have spent too long looking at Soviet belt feds because they have the pull type while most others have the push type.

Hey Brandon, that unfortunately is a M1941 Johnson rifle. I remember seeing it on GB a few years ago. Yeah someone painted, chopped the stock off, and welded on a pic rail and modern folding stock, and then tried to sell it on GB for like 7k, but no one ever saved it
I think it was rebarreled in 338-06 if I remember correctly. I was watching it for a while.
in fairness it was built of a reciever that had no value parts kit I believe..

The point of the pipe rifle knuckleduster is you use the bullet first, and the knuckles are just there as backup. Ideally the bullet does the job and you wont need the knuckles (you pick up the real gun carried by the guy you just ventilated), but things dont always go to plan and you wont get a second chance, so the knuckles are there as backup.

Some disintegrating belts do push the round forward, like the SAW and 240B. Rounds with rims like .303, 7.62x54R, and 40mm do have to be pulled backwards. You can usually tell these because you have to load in the belt, charge it? pull the trigger to slam the extractor on the next round, then recharge it to extract the first round from the belt and get it positioned on the bolt face.

That RPK 74 belt fed drum was truly epic. I wouldn't mind one of those either even it doesn't work. It's simply cool.
About that cursed Johnson M1941, I'm willing to think it was custom made, possibly khyber pass made, or 3d printed, because if it is an original rifle, that's a sacrilege!
With the extended barrel rifle you can tell they kind of did the numbers because it's still making a crack as it leaves the barrel and you can hear a little bit of powder explosion still. It's absolutely unbelievable how quiet it is but as the powder burns up the gun gets quieter. I would like to see what velocity that bullet is hitting!
@LabRat Knatz 😁
Brandon, as a cook, don't use knifes that aren't sharp. The sharper it is the lower the chance of you hurting yourself with it.
I know it sounds stupid, but you have no idea how many times i got cut by a dull blade, while i never had such problem with a razor sharp blade.
You get hurt by sharp knives less because you respect them more.
what am i doing wrong that i hurt myself less with dull blades?
This is true.
As long as you follow basic knife techniques or even armature knife techniques, a sharp knife is less dangerous than a dull one. The sharp knife does what it is supposed to do with less effort while the dull knife is more prone to wandering and slipping off the cutting target and hitting something it is not supposed to cut.
TL DR
A sharp knife does what you want it to do, a dull knife does what it wants to do.

"Typical belt fed firearm doesn't just slam the bolt through the belt"
The vast majority of belt feds I've handled were push-through. Examples include:
MG42
MG3
M240B
M249 SAW
The one push/pull I've played with was an M2HB.
Dude I'm from New Zealand will never get to lay my hands on such weapons and I seriously thought most slam the round through the belt tho I know the minigun has a complicated af system going on
I am too young to own a firearm and can't drive yet but I want the weapons you mentioned and fear that by the time I am old enough I won't be able to own anything more than a .22 hunting rifle because of the gun laws being made so strict.
Notice how two of these are the same gun
@@theluiginoidperson1097 different Calibre though
I love that Schroedinger got featured in this, thats awesome.
The belt feed AK broke my mind.
You just got your first crossover: Homie with the stacked ACOGs accidentally pointed his rifle towards the sun and spontaneously torched himself, earning a Darwin award. #akgnotificationsquad
Holy shit lolol
I'm still waiting for the Cursed Guns: Brazil/Honduras Edition... 👌🏽💀
Thank you, this video made my day a lot more fun
The backwards of gun is a perfect gift for the person you love the most
4:25 LOL IM DYING!!!
A hallmark of Brandons channel is the videos being so entertaining that they fly by i always am left excited for the next one. Keep up the good work!
With the looong barrel, just attach a contact activated explosive charge at the end. Much like a shark gun.
On a tangentially related note: one thing I've seen in steampunk incorporates the idea of a bangstick (or a single-round shotgun) into an otherwise normal heavy warhammer. Upon striking a first blow or the user's triggering, a large shotgun shell sitting flush inside the head's forward face goes off.
It seems like something which wouldn't have the problems true melee/gun combi-weapons usually do, and it would be both devastating and intimidating.
@@henrysokol3466 I don’t think it’s practical given that all of that recoil goes back into your wrists, possibly snapping them.
@@thelastmohican951 A lot of recoil would be absorbed by the sheer mass and inertia of the hammer head. (It'd be triggered by impact at the end of a swing, remember.) Somebody who uses a heavy warhammer as their primary weapon also gets strong wrists quickly and adopts grip technique that will absorb the shock properly, because the things can trash your shoulders and wrists if you don't have the physical strength and skill to use them properly.
The whole shotgun shell thing isn't intended as a practical, all-the-time feature anyway because you can't reload in battle. It just gives your first two-handed strike, that you've probably had time to build extra momentum for, some added oomph.
@@henrysokol3466 Fair enough, I can imagine a wielded would also likely wear some sort of wrist or arm braces too. Just as an added precaution to make sure the strain doesn’t accumulate over continued use.
@@thelastmohican951 I believe that was common among users of such weapons.
“Bone stock” joke had me crying 🤣😂
I love how Brandon completely misses the fact that in the first picture, the selector cannot be set to fire...because of the fudd grips.
Fun fact i posted that pic lol
it may be a 45 degree throw, otherwise you are correct
A bot stole your comment and got 289 thumbs up with it.
@@Dethmeister Ah well, is what it is.
When the AK-50 is finished, Brandon makes the AK-74 BELT FED ‼️
Love how the commercial i got was matt from demo ranch doing a sweep with a min gold ak🤣🤣
I think the germans worked out that a barrel length of 47 is where you get full powder burn, or at least you get the most out of it or something, but i am pretty sure that's for tank cannons, and it may be different for small arms and may even be different for each cartridge.
10:05 Talk about barebones AK build
You know, you could always engineer a belt fed 100rnd AK box thing.
Great idea my friend 👌🏻👀
PKM let's goooo
To be fair, at close range with a shotgun, you don't exactly need sights if you're running buckshot. Sure it helps, but at point blank, kinda legendarily hard to miss with a spread gun.
For the brass knuckles, it looks like it'd be good for a lefty, as you could grip & rip the firing handle with your strong (right) hand.
The bloopers really show how imperfect Brandon is…… yet he seems so perfect already.

The Calico M100 was also the prop gun used in Spaceballs. Thought i recognized that shape.
Things I miss:
1.) The PPSh-41 parts kit Brandon hinted at having a while ago
2.) Having a job where I could be a part of the notification squad
3.) AK-50 test videos, can’t wait for V3 to come out
A: A belt-fed RPK is dope and no-one can tell me otherwise
B: The AK with the human foot for a stock is a DIRECT call-out to Monster Hunter players
C: The sight in front of the trigger on that earlier pistol is for the Go-Pro
Or if Larry Corria gets bored he'll give a bone stock to one of his characters in his Monster Hunter International characters (probably Shelly the Urk (Orc) who's gift (every Urk has one) is with firearms)...
