My name is Brandon Herrera. I'm the owner and operator of The AK Guy Inc, a 07 Firearm Manufacturer based out of Fayetteville, NC. I also co-own Stark Media Group, and designed the rifle known as the AK-50.
I've started to dedicate this UA-cam channel above all to have fun, but also as a way to document my entrepreneurial journey for the next few years as I try to grow my companies. Hopefully, people can learn from my example, successes, and failures.
Either way, I'm having a lot of fun with it so far, and I hope it's just as fun to follow along!

“AK’s are $25 and a sandwich in Nigeria”
A sandwich in Nigeria is worth at least $500 and 30 rounds of 7.62
so you can buy a gun and rob the restaurant and so you get free food and probably end in prison
Or one well placed 7.62 round...
was gonna say, had to look it up Nigerian wage is something like $79 a month so that $25 is a lot more.
Don't give me hope...
True fact - the first Sten spontaneously self-assembled when a plumber's truck collided with a scrap iron truck.
Few know this but the Finns actually used this method of procurement for years afterward. Aimo Lahti was originally a "Suomiwood" stunt driver and Tikkakoski a sewing machine manufacturer.

I love how the "pistol grip" on the "STEN" is just a knife handle. Perfection.
Bed sheet metal too. Looks more like tablelegsheetmetal to me.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that the “Warhammer Bolter” does not function as the “fire control group” is just the pistol grip from a dollar store MP5k toy. The gaping asshole screw holes really took me back to childhood (interpret that however you may)
Additionally, shotgun shells are rimmed which would require a magazine with a slight curve if you wish to have any chance of preventing a rim lock jam.

The "bolter" most likely was for someone cosplaying

To be fair Brandon, the Sten gun was already designed to be assembled in a toolshed.
Yup, have hammer will travel, was a great idea during WWII.
@@ScottishAlaskan77 Wasn't it also intentionally designed that way so French Resistance forces could easily manufacture their own Stens since its literally a pipe.
Edit: hell I'm pretty sure in the Metro series the Sten was the inspiration behind our "favorite" SMG known as "the Bastard" heck the third image whoever took it was probably trying to make said SMG from that series.
@@cursedhawkins1305 basically, yeah, it also looks surprisingly inconspicuous when disassembled
@@cursedhawkins1305 I think it was mainly for ease of production. The Welrod was conceived to be disguised as a tool though, so French Resistance could ambush Sentries and take their rifles.
Edit: Gun Jesus did a video on the development of the Sten: ua-cam.com/video/8-PmLxkOmaM/v-deo.html
So what you're saying is we need to have anti-tool laws

9:07 This makes me realize that it may be interesting to have stuff like this chambered explicitly for mini shells. It may have some of the same gimmicky appeal as a taurus judge.
The Judge can also fire .45 Long Colt, so...not as gimmicky as you would think. I personally appreciate any firearm that can fire more than one cartridge.
...or a cartridge that can be fired from the same chamber. Slight difference. Not sure why 9mm Auto hasn't caught on, frankly.
It still seems less sketchy than the Judge.
Fun fact about the Warhammer bolter shotgun: It's fully useable in the VR game Hotdogs, Horseshoes, and Handgrenades.
First thing i noticed, I have used that abortion in H3 a few times
I believe it’s also in wasteland 3 though I’ve never used it as by the time you get it better weapons are available as more powerful shotguns and more accurate pistols outclass it
@@yapflipthegrunt4687 Nope, totally stock! Shotguns in the magazine section, it's full auto too!
Brandon could make a whole episode about the cursed and weird guns in that game. Maybe we can get a VR game review from him? :D
I knew I've seen it somewhere
You don’t really need to look at photos to see an “improvised cursed gun image.” Just look at your how it works drawings.
mhm. i want a few of em
the warhammer bolter almost convinced me, but that..interesting open magazine would be difficult to hold on to as the shotgun shells feed up right under your hand xd
I'm tempted to learn how to be a proper gunsmith purely to make horrible things to make Brandon sad
Brandon roasting Warhammer without even knowing it gives me life.
He also pointed out the same thing I’ve been saying for as long as I’ve been playing Warhammer. I know they get velocity because they’re self propelled, but since they don’t spend anytime in the barrel, how the hell do they get stabilized? Probably why space marines prefer to charge in for some glorious melee combat.
@@11jerans Oh god yeah. When you look too much into how bolters are supposed to work it hurts your brain. Like they’re simultaneously one of the coolest and stupidest scifi/science fantasy weapons.
@@11jerans Not commenting on warhammer per se but very short lengths of rifling is all that is necessary to stabilise a projectile. Look at snub nose revolvers or rifled chokes for shotguns, a couple of inches or even less is still enough to do the job.
@@11jerans I've always imagined that rather than one rocket motor propelling the round from the rear, it's 3 - 4 slightly offset rockets that spin the round around its center axis while pushing it down range. My problem has always been why a supposedly .65 caliber gun looks like it's at least 40mm on the model. And then I start wondering how the heck somebody reloads the main gun in a Leman Russ and things start to spiral downward from there.
Mostly, I think you're just not supposed to think about it that much.
@@11jerans I know very little about 40k, but I assume they stabilize in a similar way to the Gyrojet (check out Gun Jesus' or Taofledermaus' videos on it if you haven't seen them). Basically the exhaust ports/ rocket nozzles are milled in to the projectile at an angle which imparts spin even without having a rifled barrel and would even work in a vacuum.

@@frost82592 Howdy!
Another Okie reporting in.
In my youth I was in New York, Manhattan and saw actual zip guns that were used to shoot at each other that make this stuff look like HK's.
Standard was tear an antenna of a car, break it off at the sliding section that fits the .22 or .25 round that you bought cheap. Wooden handle, which means a scrap of wood from a construction site.
Black electricians tape, the old stuff with fabric backing. Rubber band to power the nail to fire it. takes about thirty seconds to load, a couple seconds to fire, usually by pulling back on the rubber band by hand.
Best are big rubber bands used in offices, you find them on the street.
You can make it in a half hour shoot it, and drop it in a trash can as you walk away. The bullets keyhole which makes even a .22 long decent at three feet, since you don't have to kill them, just take them out of the fight. or just use it to threaten with.
Fortunately I got the hell out of there.
The fact that they are making these things makes me wonder what on earth is worth shooting somebody over but not spending the money to (illegally) aquire even a taurus.
