Hey Matt, love you, love your channel! I think you should do a video on expired plate body armor vs new body armor since it's said it expires after 3 or 5 years. Keep up the great entertainment, thanks for creating such an awesome channel!
The official name is the Masterpiece Arms MPA57DMG. Very catchy. I looked into it a few years back when I wanted an large-format 5.7mm pistol that could be slung and used as a super-compact survival carbine. It's heavy and awkward, but it was the only one at the time. Now, the Kel-Tec P50 exists and is superior in every way.
I copped the 9mm and 45mpas and they are fun asf lol bump firing them def makes me feel like the old school movie villains 😂 I’ve had em for a few months now and haven’t had any problems they can’t reliably run hollows but most guns in that style can’t
That's very impressive that you were able to put the cube back together. I also don't know if your not doing less of the videos but haven't seen a new vet. Ranch in a minute.
Dr. Karri in Dallas seem to run the Vet Ranch channel now. Still some good content on there. Just without Matt. And as a side note, I am certain Matt still maintains his veterinary license to be able to practice but he just doesn't do it as a means to make money
Phantom cameras tend to be ridiculously expensive though. Something more in line with the Chronos ($5K) or the Freefly Wave ($10K) would probably be more in line with what's possible. It's been years since I looked at highspeed video cameras, but the Chronos seems to still be popular and the Freefly Wave is basically the next step up with better resolution and faster framerates at the same res. I think the Chronos is 1K frames per second at 1920 by 1080 or Full HD if you like. The Wave does 2000 by 1088 at just above 1.4K frames per second. In addition to this it does 4096 by 3072 or 4K at 420 FPS. These are both in the budget price range for highspeed video cameras. Phantoms low end starts at about $100K...
@@blahorgaslisk7763 how ridiculous has a phantom. They have similar subscriber count, views, both sell merch, sponsorships. Theres no reason to suspect he cant afford a phantom. I suspect Matt is very wealthy. He probably owns guns worth more.
@@volcomskater2390 yeah he could probably afford one, but that's how ridiculous main content so they kind of need that camera. Matt doesn't need that expensive of a slow-mo camera just to record his gunshots So I think it makes sense for him to get the cheaper one like the person above said, But he could most likely afford a phantom if he wanted. I don't know about the two guys in How ridiculous, but Matt has a family he can't just drop a hundred k on a camera ya know
I think that weird little 5.7 could be pretty cool as an SBR. Well, at least fun. Also, I never expected I'd hear a Flight of the Conchords reference here, haha!
Matt I’ve been watching you for years I’m 21 years old now I have a gun collection going myself I do a lot of videos you do then with use just videos of me training I love how over the years you have continue to remain goofy and playful but yet professional at the same time I compare myself a lot to you in some ways that you act in the videos. Gun ho! Keep it up
Matt, have you thought about lining up old copies of the Federal Income Tax code and seeing how far through a bullet will go? I know you've done this with plain paper but I think it'd be quite popular.
Masterpiece Arms are basically Mac-10's or 11's (A Mac-11 in this video) that have been modified to be a closed-bolt, semi-auto pistol. Some are more identical to Mac-10's and 11's, and some (Like this one), are designed to be more ergonomic, with an all new lower receiver design.
First off, keep up the great work and continue uploading entertaining content. I do wonder how "bulletproof" a wrecking ball is? A perfect demolition toy for Demolition Ranch.
I'm surprised MPA still makes them. They've really moved on to high-tier competition class rifle chassis and 2011 race guns. I prefer their older MAC clones, and even have one in 9mm. One of my first guns. It sat for years until I recently put a semi-auto Lage MAX-11 upper on it along with a brace and Sig red dot... It's now a proper modernized carbine (aside from the Sten mags it uses) and it's one of my very favorite guns. Of course, those uppers don't work on these new ones. Edit: Matt, if you're reading this, I forgot to mention something very important!! Be very careful about which pistol brace you use because most will increase the LOP to over the legal limit thanks to the elongated receiver. If you're unsure, just SBR it.
@@neglectfulsausage7689 I agree. They're local to me and I've spoken to many of its employees and even the owner over the last 15 years and have a fair bit of insight as to the evolution of their lines, but that's a long article better suited to a paid gun journalist.
Hey matt I don’t know if you’ll see this but I have been going thru a massive struggle this past week and I’ve turned to UA-cam to ease my mind and I couldn’t be happier stumbling across your channels. Thanks brother always a great watch. Very grateful for your videos.
Praying for you. Life can be rough but there’s a God who loves you. Definitely read through the book of Luke in the Bible. It showcases just how much Jesus was willing to suffer because he loved us enough, that anyone who repents and believes can find peace and life. Hope you have a blessed week. John 3:16
i mean, matt put his back together. He could have easily taken it out to the tank range and vaporized it. regardless i think they both did a fantastic job making their cubes no longer cubes
Funny thing about graphite, if you shape it right it becomes graphene which is weak when pushed against but incredibly strong when pulled and a few different militaries are trying to put it in body armour as it’s really light and would have the stopping potential of 3 times that of Kevlar for the same weight
The RBMK reactor at Chernobyl had *graphite* in it which caught on fire when the core exploded. It would have been cool if Matt's .50 BMG caused the cube to smolder a little.
I had one of those Masterpiece Arms in 9mm. I put a brace on it and loved it. Had a 30 round mag that could bump fire "accidentally" without having to hook anything. It's a Mac10 clone and with a folding brace, it was a great backpack gun that was pretty darn accurate.
Well, I watched howridiculous video just before this one, and their BFH really turned that graphite cube into dust in one shot or drop of the hammer 🔨, it was pretty cool. I think we may have a Tie between the two of your channels. You both destroyed it completely, just in totally different ways. I think I would have to call this one a close draw just because it was so completely destroyed just differently done.
I kinda hate saying this but ,,,,,,HR guys turned their block into dust!! Down under for the win on this one. However, Matt will always be in the lead because of the way he demolished the ball with the tank in the other video!
I as well watched HD’s BFH video and yes they “powderized” it, but Matt definitely did it better! Of course this is coming from a guy who loves his guns but hey!
@@warrenmichael918 Indeed, Down Under wins this round. Matt does deserve bonus points for putting his cube back together though, the HR guys failed to do that.
@@w31d88 I feel like the video end is fine for most people. But I would agree that he needs a better audio recording setup than probably just from the camera mic
An actual Ouija board won't burn-- child safety laws. Makes for an amusing anecdote when your buddy gets so creeped out by the idea of inviting spirits into their home that they decide to burn the board and are horrified to find it won't catch fire...
@@BogeyTheBear My cousin made a Ouija board out of cardboard when I went to visit in my teen years. Lights went out in only the room he was in and when we went to burn it outside with gasoline, the fire went out 3 times and the cardboard Ouija board took over an hour to completely burn once it finally caught. One of the most trippy experiences of my life.
Here’s a suggestion! I like it when you go up from the smallest caliber to the largest one to find the “breaking point” of whatever you’re shooting at. I think you could show off a lot more guns that way. Also, it would be cool to have like a tier list of the most durable things you’ve shot at from .22 LR to the tank round.
@Flamming Remy I think he is talking about making a compilation of the most durable things he has shot at with a 22 and a compilation of the most durable things he has shot at with a tank not meaning make a new video with all of those things
You should do a torture test for your new gun, since you don't know what to do. It would be fun to see another torture test video. Great content anyway!
as you may or may not know graphite dust can be used as a lubricant, the sheets of weakly bound carbon atoms that graphite is made of means it has a low shearing strength, basically you were shooting a big block of lubricant & the way the bigger rounds interacted with it was pretty interesting.
That gun is an mpa defender, it’s their reproduction of a mac11 w the traditional stick mag, and then they made one that runs Glock mags and one that runs fn 57. That’s why the ergos are weird for the fn. if you get one w the barrel weight you can bump fire them pretty easily. Also way better braced/sbr
Always love your content Matt but I would have to say How Ridiculous did a better job on the graphite cube versus big hammer than your graphite cube versus 50 BMG
Been here since you had 50k subs and not one time have you ever disappointed and you've consistently had the best intros available on UA-cam. Gotta say I miss you doing stuff on vet ranch, did you sell the channel or what?

I hate it so much, when you scratch the materials with a knife.. The curse of having Hifi - headphones, I'm getting goosebumps every single time, like nails on a chalk board! 😂

That 5.7 "pistol" should definitely be SBR'd. But then again, at that point it's just a worse P90, so if you're gonna do that you should just use a P90.
I'd have definitely had that block tested with a Geiger counter since graphite's used as a moderator in research reactors - I could easily see that thing being posted on ebay by some scrapper and having come from an old warehouse in Russia somewhere... that dust could be seriously hazardous!
I always love your videos Matt I end up with a smile everytime I'll see you in 3 months brother I gotta go to bootcamp on the 21 for the Marines catch you later.

I dont know if you can get it anywhere right now, but have you heard of graphene? It's a 1 layer graphite sheet wich is almost unbreakable. I've seen many vids and articles about it but never seen anyone shoot it. Would be the coolest thing if you shot it.
I had one of those masterpiece arms 5.7s for a while. It was a fun little gun but when the 5.7 ammo got ungodly expensive I sold it and bought an AR pistol which I have thousands of rounds of already.
Awesome video man!! I had a idea, would it be fun to glue it together with the strongest glue and see how it reacts to the bullets after that? Love your videos man! Keep going!💪💪
My dad has one of these in 9mm. It’s definitely awkward as a pistol, though it would definitely be convenient to SBR. Store as a pistol, then slap a stock on it and now you have a rifle.

In addition to this it does 4096 by 3072 or 4K at 420 FPS.
These are both in the budget price range for highspeed video cameras. Phantoms low end starts at about $100K...

I love the effort that goes into these videos. Every single one is entertaining. Love you Matt🙏🏻

And then set it on fire.
If you see this jus know it’s definitely the Milano from C.O.D CW

If you're unsure, just SBR it.
they made a big, big mistake trying to make it look gucci. If they stuck to cloning Mac10-11 theyd keep making lots of money.
@@neglectfulsausage7689 I agree. They're local to me and I've spoken to many of its employees and even the owner over the last 15 years and have a fair bit of insight as to the evolution of their lines, but that's a long article better suited to a paid gun journalist.
I think the score is tied 1 1 with how ridiculous wining this round I love seeing you guys do these videos together!!
Hey matt I don’t know if you’ll see this but I have been going thru a massive struggle this past week and I’ve turned to UA-cam to ease my mind and I couldn’t be happier stumbling across your channels. Thanks brother always a great watch. Very grateful for your videos.
Hope things have improved. Similar case here and I've been binging Demo for about 5 hours a day at least five days a week for a couple weeks lol
Praying for you. Life can be rough but there’s a God who loves you. Definitely read through the book of Luke in the Bible. Funny thing about graphite, if you shape it right it becomes graphene which is weak when pushed against but incredibly strong when pulled and a few different militaries are trying to put it in body armour as it’s really light and would have the stopping potential of 3 times that of Kevlar for the same weight
Ohhhh how that gave me chills when you ran your knife along the graphite. Like nails on a chalkboard.
I physically cringed

Why? It's just a really big, weirdly shaped pencil
