That Timmy is a real mechanic. Did you see him conquer the removal of that fuel filter. Nothing like ruining a new filter. I bet they had a filter wrench if he knew what it was.
He's a beast on holding the camera while other people work on his truck. And Tim takes all the credit..watch when it's done, he will say "look at what I did on this truck ".
I have to say I use to watch this show but I mean Tim spends more money on having huge horsepower trucks that blow apart buy. Few good trucks with 500/525 horsepower and run them make money I mean here in Canada we can and do pull 139,500 pounds and it is done easily with 500-525 horsepower if it’s a decent driver and takes his/her time
Just think if not for Robert that engine wouldn’t be sitting in the truck. Tim is great at starting projects sucks at finishing them. Wonder how much junk got into the open valve covers.
Tim just so you know, I’ve been a subscriber from the start, all of a sudden, I don’t get notifications anymore, and then I find out that I’m no longer a subscriber! I’ll fix that, but viewers beware! That’s just BS to do the man dirty like that!! Keep up the good work!
Most men in trucking have no concept of the humbling experience of sraping and degeasing the under carriage of an 18 wheeler. Watching you guys fo that job brought so many memories back for me There is something so special when you clean your life's rig up like new. It reflects the true nature of a real trucker. Thank you for showing what you have done.
Timothy when he who knows all is bestowing his knowledge upon the UA-cam world be quite, we need his knowledge and when you're talking over him we can't hear what in the hell he is trying to learn us 😅
You finally did it Tim I love it when roosters get its engine back in beautiful. you deserve it to him you worked hard to get this going awesome job to everyone they help bringing rooster back to life
Looks like Rob is fun to work with around the shop. He is a big plus to the channel and his own. He makes some awesome stuff! He has been awesome to you guys and that says alot when he loaned his shop to you! Not too many people are like that anymore. If you put POR-15 on that frame....you will never have to worry about that frame again. It's sealed for good
All is coming together again….Rob’s method of wiring makes a lot of sense, no reason to have excess wiring where/when it’s not needed. You’ve a good friend and invaluable resource for knowledge in that man, never lose sight of that fact. Seeing this 379 going back together is a huge step forward for you personally and professionally….yes, some people will complain about it over Westen’s truck not being done first, but they fail to understand just how far gone that wreck was.
Tim you need collars around the U-joints that keeps the grease from slinging everywhere just a thought. It's good to see ROOSTER getting everything he needs to GetUrDone again
Tim you are putting a lot of time and effort in to this build I am Praying that when it is all done that you enjoy your bloody hard work. This to you Rob you have done a Great job keeping him in LINE
When greasing my trucks Tim, I would wipe clean each nipple after greasing. It helps to keep the frame a bit cleaner, along with the nipple. Love the videos. C J. Australia
Tim so happy you decide to paint the rear of the frame plus scraping off all that dirt and grease you probably lost 100lbs. Off of your frame. Your Truck is going to look Sooooo Amazing Awesome can't wait to see it finished and running OMG what a Hell of a Truck!!!
Tim@Gentry&SonsTrucking you need to get in touch with Lanogaurd for your underbody protection. Brilliant stuff. I would think that they would send you a few gallons for a review feature
our man from gentry and sons, made your tee shirt into a real all round shirt by taking the sleeves off and making it country . it would look good planting corn or hunting hogs in it too. 20:26/47:41👈🤠
Thanks Tim. 1. Why the Spacers on the Exhaust Manifold ? 2. The Alternator is already bolted to the Engine Block for the Ground Connection ? 3. Brax !! "PLEASE" Slow down with the camera... Hold the Device with both hands and tuck Your elbows into your Side. Your whole Body becomes the Camera. Leave the Lens as wide as possible till You need the Close in shots, then Back out. Try it, You'll be surprised with the much smoothness in the Recording.....
Braxton is a very smart young man from you and your family now rob and his family are teaching him to. that boy is gonna have it going on. love your videos am glad you are getting rooster back
Love this channel. Extremely impressed with your accomplishments. Installing the engine however was hard to watch. I've been in this industry as a driver and a mechanic for over 30 years. I've been all over the country in every major city, pulling all kinds of loads accept boats never hauled them. Much respect. I've battery drained through paccar Cummins and Cat. That process did not have to be like that. Again, very impressed with your accomplishments. Keep it up
I used run Tide laundry soap in bucket trough my Hotsey washer and clean farm equipment and a fleet of garbage trucks worked better than any truck wash that I found.
After all this work on rooster this will be a timmy only vehicle lol but really after seeing this cant wait til i got the money saved to build a car my way
Timmy they have an awesome attachment on wheels you hook up your pressure washer to it and it has like 10 or 12 jets that spray upward soy you can steam the underside of your truck I have one that I use to steam off my dump truck and it is unreal how good of a job that it does you definitely need to check into it it's worth 3 times what it cost ,and I truly believe that a clean truck runs and drives way better
The other thing is I am blown away with Braxton’s skill set and knowledge!! How cool would be if there was a channel called Braxton builds?? It would be Braxton doing mechanical work and building trucks? Obviously have him have a helper that works for him but to see an 11 year old that can do what he does would get serious subscribers!! Think about it
I don't own a big rig yet but I do own a chevy pickup that I can't wait to rebuild from ground up but watching all your videos is definitely pure motivation for me you guys are awesome
Tim I'm excited to see Rooster when it's all together I can see there's been a lot of money & time put in to rebuilding Rooster if I only would of had a truck like that 30yrs ago I don't know if my shoulders could of held my head on. Looking forward to seeing it all finished.
What a great looking motor Tim. First Load with rooster will be a bittersweet day after all you've guys have been through. God Bless Shtube and your fanily. Keep striving brother!! 🤘
Hey Tim, you can mix diesel fuel and kerosene and spray the underside of the frame, and then put the hot pressure washer to it and it will eliminate the scraping.
I kept thinking he’s got to change that peanut cover when I saw it last and I should have known better Tim because of course you did . Looks awesome brother.
Build some harnesses for locomotives and diesel electric mining trucks . Wire strand count becomes very important . To survive vibrations . Heat over loads . This is the way to do electrical systems . The truck will spend its life workin not broken . K models are a good choice for sledge hammer power 19 liter or 38 liter . Cat 3408 no substitute for cubic inches .
Hi Tim when we gonna see your other boy the one that’s mad on trucks I would like to see him as I hear he’s a wild little child I just like to see the other kid cheers 👍
Awesome video, wishing there was a Westen truck update and Airforce truck update.. also yea take off roof wing, and sleeper ferrings.. also the clearance lights etc are looking a bit outdated.. but you probably already have plans for that.. I understand if you hold off on some of that.. you have a 💩 ton of money already in it.. Awesome build tim
they put that on the edge of the frame for a reason do just like you said get under there every so often, don't try to rethink the wheel you don't want to be broke down on the side of the road because you didn't do it right you need to be able to work that truck, keep up the good work love the channel 👍
So I watched that live thingus and the engine never started at the end of that... I'm guessing the payoff did happen and it started... any chance you can pop up that part of it today sometime? I mean... I even watched you guys eat Brunch? Lunchfast or Supfast... anyway... ya hours of vid with no payoff lol VROOM VROOM
Have you heard of “Quick-Glo”? I love it. Made in America and natural. It polish all metal ( not on paint) removes rust on pitted Crome. Polish and live a coat to hrlp keep it shiny ✨ Jay Leno recommends it even brought the owner out to his garage.
Rob has cut more harnesses than the naysayers have even seen, I trust Rob can do a better job than the factory
Absolutely agree
Hey tim where do i need to go to get a couple of compound turbos for my cat 3406 b model and get them set perfect for my boost?
The motor is in my 1993 freightliner fld with 9 speed but I'm about to put in a 13 speed
I have to say I use to watch this show but I mean Tim spends more money on having huge horsepower trucks that blow apart buy. Few good trucks with 500/525 horsepower and run them make money I mean here in Canada we can and do pull 139,500 pounds and it is done easily with 500-525 horsepower if it’s a decent driver and takes his/her time
He's not the brightest crayon in the box. He's also a few fries short of a happy meal.
I need to get this filter off, hand me that shovel!
Brax still not doing lawns CMON
You got more money then me. I can’t afford a truck that gets 4 mpg.
Seeing that engine in that truck, you could tell how much that meant to you. Fine job boys!
I still believe the black 389 is the sexiest truck in your fleet....
Tim will sell Rooster
Just think if not for Robert that engine wouldn’t be sitting in the truck. Tim is great at starting projects sucks at finishing them. Wonder how much junk got into the open valve covers.
He's an expert at not getting anything completed before the next "big project". Look how long it's taken Westins truck..
It's About time that old red Peterbilt gets a new motor it's so awesome
that is 1 pretty kitty cat I'll let you shed a tear or two as long as them are happy tears 😂😂❤❤❤
That big kitty cat 16 liter with 5 core radiator and 88 milimeter turbo shoud be so freaking awesome.
Tim just so you know, I’ve been a subscriber from the start, all of a sudden, I don’t get notifications anymore, and then I find out that I’m no longer a subscriber! I’ll fix that, but viewers beware! That’s just BS to do the man dirty like that!! Keep up the good work!
Money is flowing at Gentry and Son's. Send me Mo money so I can buy more junk.
Most men in trucking have no concept of the humbling experience of sraping and degeasing the under carriage of an 18 wheeler. Watching you guys fo that job brought so many memories back for me
There is something so special when you clean your life's rig up like new. It reflects the true nature of a real trucker. Thank you for showing what you have done.
Por 15 eastwood
Be picky who you put in rooster and your 389.. don’t let these beauty’s get in the wrong hands of drivers that tear stuff up.
Timothy when he who knows all is bestowing his knowledge upon the UA-cam world be quite, we need his knowledge and when you're talking over him we can't hear what in the hell he is trying to learn us 😅
Man I can hardly wait to hear Rooster crowing again. Will be sweet music to your ears. That going to be a HOSS!!
You finally did it Tim I love it when roosters get its engine back in beautiful. you deserve it to him you worked hard to get this going awesome job to everyone they help bringing rooster back to life
You removed all the rust proofing 😂😂😂😂
It's amazing how many of his trucks break down.
Not really since he runs all old worn out junk.
He should have put all that money he wasted on that peter into the shop
I would love to see a day in the life of brax video🤣🤣. Just him walking around with the camera talking.
Only us truckers get emotional about our trucks being rebuilt.😊
Rob is a very smart man doing a very professional job
Wow that massive 16L Caterpillar engine is awesome I can't wait to hear the sound of the engine running coming soon
I can’t wait to see the fuel bill every week.
Looks like Rob is fun to work with around the shop. He is a big plus to the channel and his own. He makes some awesome stuff! He has been awesome to you guys and that says alot when he loaned his shop to you! Not too many people are like that anymore. Finally Rooster is getting a beautiful makeover, LOVE that truck....
Missed seeing rooster on the road! This is gonna get good
Tim you need collars around the U-joints that keeps the grease from slinging everywhere just a thought. It's good to see ROOSTER getting everything he needs to GetUrDone again
I'm doing the exact same to my t600 right now. I can confirm its a lot of hard work for sure, but my truck has a 12.7 complete out of frame.
Tim you are putting a lot of time and effort in to this build I am Praying that when it is all done that you enjoy your bloody hard work. This to you Rob you have done a Great job keeping him in LINE
@Gentry_and_son_trucking_1. what's up with rooster you have not put the video upto
When greasing my trucks Tim, I would wipe clean each nipple after greasing. It helps to keep the frame a bit cleaner, along with the nipple. Love the videos. C J. Australia
Wow that’s how a motor should go in like putting on a pair of shoes just awesome!!!

Tim, I love these building series at SH Tube, can't wait for the next episode!!!!
Greetings from the Netherlands!!!!
I remember scraping my 97’ W900 and having a 5 gallon bucket full of Dirt Grim. I think I power washed it 5 times until I felt it was good.
I've taken a rubber hose of smaller dimension split it and put it on the frame rail to keep everything from rubbing on it.
Good job men,Rob knows how to get it done, everything is coming together.
All that engine and stock exhaust manifold and turbo??
I used run Tide laundry soap in bucket trough my Hotsey washer and clean farm equipment and a fleet of garbage trucks worked better than any truck wash that I found.
Glad to Rooster coming back to life looking good!!!!!😊
After all this work on rooster this will be a timmy only vehicle lol but really after seeing this cant wait til i got the money saved to build a car my way
Looking awesome bro can’t wait to see rooster in person at the show
but it was a labour of love for sure
Never did answer about the 379 frame being rusted out and you bought another frame for it? So you just gonna run the rusted out frame on it?
Glad you guys are getting forward. God bless
Need to hit those rust spots with some rust converter.

I kept thinking he’s got to change that peanut cover when I saw it last and I should have known better Tim because of course you did . Looks awesome brother.
Cat cover to cover both sides of oil pan would be awesome and the same on top of valve covers would be sick !
Wow that's a big Kitty!!
It would be great if you could do a live on the start up!
Shorter the better as far as the ground wires.
I never enter but love watchin and always curious

Getting closer to the finish line with rooster. I can't wait to see Rooster go for that 1st ride when done
Brax is cut out to be a singer!!
The headache toolbox cabinet would look great on Rooster, and Westen's truck to allow plenty of chain storage for your RGn
Awesome to see roster coming together keep up the good work
Hi Tim when we gonna see your other boy the one that’s mad on trucks I would like to see him as I hear he’s a wild little child I just like to see the other kid cheers 👍
The 550 is hopefully coming to upstate New York sir
This is emotional for you Tim cannot wait for Roosters start up. It’s been a long time coming
That truck will be badass as soon as you take that stupid fucking drop visor off and put the stock visor back on!
Hey Tim are you Going to paint some undercarriage protection where you been scraping down there
Need to put a Chrome sleeve over his Steering Shaft in the engine compartment
Awesome video, wishing there was a Westen truck update and Airforce truck update.. also yea take off roof wing, and sleeper ferrings.. also the clearance lights etc are looking a bit outdated.. but you probably already have plans for that.. Missing a nut on the turbo housing.
they put that on the edge of the frame for a reason do just like you said get under there every so often, don't try to rethink the wheel you don't want to be broke down on the side of the road because you didn't do it right you need to be able to work that truck, keep up the good work love the channel 👍
