I never cleaned mine and I have ps4 fat first version. It still runs great. I don't trust console services because they might damage my console, and I don't know how to open inside of ps4 so I just ignore cleaning

I just got a secondhand ps4 cuz I wanted to run MW again for nostalgia and I couldn't even load into games I thought it was my internet but then I realized the fan was SO LOUD. Swap your hard drive out with an ssd. I did it in my ps4 slim and it's so much faster and doesn't lag in menus and the home screen and loading times are extremely short
Same. I did a 2 TB SSD and turned off the home screen feature which uses internet speeds to show what's titles are for sale.
Rebuild my database really improved my performance on my ps4! Thank you

changing ps4 resolution doesnt do anything, because its output resolution and not render resolution, placebo effect? or maybe TV not being able to handle it for some dumb reason

My remotes pluged in im at the safe mode screen but it wont work when i hit the home button the remotes not turning on
Ps4 also rebuilds database when you unplug it while its on and the turn it back on. But its not recommended

@@the.people nothing gets deleted. It just reorganiZes the files from most to least important
A huge difference is possible if you swap over to a SSD. Worked wonders for me
whats difference between the normal and SSD
@@ight2060 hdd require moving parts and ssds are solid state drives so there isnt any moving parts and they just are a heck a lot faster

Can you do this if you use an external hard drive plugged into USB?
Not quite sure, external HDD uses USB interface, however, the internal HDD of the ps4 uses SATA interface. Better load the entire contents of your external HDD to the ps4 then try rebuilding database

@@carsandzombies8257 Although, every time you boot on your ps4, connect the EHDD to USB interface. Neverthless, you have to sacrfice the performance. EHDD are extremely plodding

If it’s very buggy laggy try setting your TV to game mode if that’s an option on your TV. It took my lag completely away

Yes, but turning on boost mode only enhances pre ps4 pro games, the ps4 pro games are already optimized for you, so doing anything described in this video will not help at all.
