When I saw the thumbnail I thought he was showing me how to go to my home screen
I didn't know you could tilt to type . It's actually a very unique input method . It's a testament to how good the motion detection in the ds4 controller is . It's a terrible means of typing that nobody would use to text, but it does showcase the controller's motion control .
Actually it's faster than the DPad keys once you're used to it. That's what I always used until the PS App
@@kidrigger your either into motion control or your not into motion control . There is absolutely nobody on the fence. Not a fan, but I get that there are fans . I remember back in the day before motion control I had this buddy that played like there was motion control lol all turning the controller and raising it above his head. Cracked me up at the time and know it's real and I feel old .
@@matthewshafer9545 Fair enough yeah. Been using motion since the PS3 Sixaxis so prolly in the motion category
The pairing trick was a lifesaver. Bought my son a new controller but the original charging cable was broken and no other USB cable would work. I ended up un-pairing all my controllers trying to fix it. Nothing I did would sync the controllers back to the console. Luckily I found the repairing option and I was able to use my phone to log in remotely and re-pair the controllers. I made it way more complicated than it needed to be... Lol
No click bait, no overly loud voice, straight to the point. You've got my sub
bruh imagine being called to the principals office and they say, "mr Glasscock please report to the principle"
Very Nice Demo video Captain.

Here's a little tip on cleaning controller once in a while.
Use a quarter sheet of microfiber cloth, 5"x5",
squirt a path of rubbing alcohol on cloth near the edge,
do full wetted wipe down, then dry off with rest of cloth.
*
Keep the cloth in safe spot to only use for controller,
or reading glasses like some of us do.
You'll notice controller feels & plays nicer when this clean.
Cheers
I appreciate that the dude is like sharing those secrets with us!😀
We can just appreciate the fact he never clickbaited us
Hello if you still need help I recommend *rackzhack * on Instagram he can do that with immediate effect .*
Haha this is true, some dud fella got me good other week “clickbaiting” gaming vid and he spoke about bar fridges
ME: clicks on video assuming what title states..
ME: breaks keyboard abruptly whilst Rick Astley tells me how he’s never gunna give up 🙃
*Axcthually*
Technically, "Your controller can do THIS" is a clickbait title.
Wow. So many youtubers would've done this in 10 to 20 to maybe even more minutes. Thanks for being concise!
Yo!!! The controller mapping literally just changed my entire PS4 life!!! God bless you!!!
I subscribed. This is exactly what the description said it was. Quick and informative without any garbage cuts to weird movie clips or memes. Thank you!!!!!!!!
I know, it comes across as clickbait, and I literally said to myself, "Ok, I'll bite", but it was tons of awesome info!
I like how I’ve had mine for years and never really bothered to play around with it like he has. Dude saved me time and showed me tricks I didn’t know about. Good job man.
@Jon Acosta yeah you can do it I have it in my laptop its works good but you need install like file I should I link it?
Or maybe he just read the manual? Like you’re supposed to do when you get it?
People who have actually read the controller's manual:
**Confusion** "Wait, you didn't know that?"
I didn’t even read the manual you should already know this if you had a ps4 for at least a year, I’ve had a ps4 for 5 years. I’ve actually had 2 because I replaced my old ps4 with a ps4 pro in 2019
@@ammygamer I just learn along the way and if it get messed up then I fix it or watch videos on how to fix it.
Im here because I couldnt figure out how to pair a new controller to save my life. And the PS and Share button instructions saved the day. Thanks a lot.
Tysm 😊
The last info was so helpfull bcz my controller trouble shooting and now I am subscribing and will like any vid I see u uploading

Introverts: "AT LAST!!! SALVATION."
me who desn't even have a controller: hmmm interesting
What's the point of having a PS4 if you don't have a controller to play it
Dude, so awesome, I need to have a notebook and pen when watching your videos, like taking notes for PlayStation class 😁
Really helpful vid, thanks man!
Double tap the Share Button & You can record your gameplay. Surprised he didn't mention that.
Or tap it to bring up the option that recorded the past 15 minutes. Very dope and handy.
The typing and screenshot was SO helpfull. Thanks ALOT man
Nice!!!!!
I need to start exploring all these features!!!
That controller looks so clean it looks like you just bought it and you washed your hands 20 times before using the controller
Hes clearly not a slob. Mine is in the same condition after 6 years of ownership.
@@shifty2755 is it still matte black and if it is then you clearly aren’t using your controller
@@GuerreroDelInfo yes the more you use it the more it changes color like a xbox controller my rubber joystick is overused so its chop off or either broken
Thanks a lot for putting so much efforts into this video with all the information.
Thank you so much the reset one helped me a lot my controller was automatically turning on and off and was getting connected to my PS4 and I wasn't able to play games so bro you're a life saver!!.
God damn i had no idea about that 10 second rule. That is a game changer
you can also hold it for 3 seconds choose power, controller and turn it off in less then 10 seconds
I've had my ps4 for years, had no idea about the zoom trick. That's such a useful feature. Thanks man, you've earned a sub with this awesome vid!
Really needed thus thx
Awesome and straight to the point, thank you 👍
While I'm over here doing the bare minimum with my system, John's over here like "did you know your PS4 can leap small buildings in a single bound BUH-BUH-BUH-BUH-PEACE!"
The 10 sec PS button turn off controller feature also existed on the PS3's DS3 controller.
It's nice to use this feature during updates to conserve battery power. It is especially nice during times that the controller menu is blocked to help prevent turning off the system during the action it's doing.
Damn I didn't know the double tap trick. Thanks! Plus, I've that back attachment as well, such a great combo with Warzone having layout on Jumper and using the back attachment especially for using armor. Hehe
I knew you could do it to go straight back to the game you were playing but not between applications
I knew most of these, but I didn’t know some! Thanks man!
Im too much of a ps4 nerd, knew all of them :D
Ty for 1k+ likes
@@chablochestybar4289 yeah same lol, i have watched almost every John Glasscock video 🤓
It's very easy to know all this if you are a gaming-literate.
Most of this stuff I just learned throughout the years but you pointed out some really helpful things I didn’t know!
My birthday is July 17th and I'm getting a PS4, and since I'm watching this on the 11th I just keep checking out these videos cause of the excitement. Plus, for once heres a guy who makes these videos who actually shares some cool useful information! Definitely subscribing for more. :)
Some very useful features! Thanks!
I literally didn't know how much the controller could do. I've had the pro for years . Just turn it on and play. Alot of great things that can actually be useful.
These are top notch tips. Thanks
Very helpful Thanks
Love how the little toothpick button has had our backs for decades
0:58 what? switching from Netflix back to Ghost of Tsushima in a second? wish i’d known this 4 years ago
@@ezekieljackson5740 he got the game even before the developers got their hands on it
Love your videos thanks 😊
Thanks for a simple and easy video
I never knew about the zoom feature. 😮 Omg thank you!
One of my favorite memories from when I first got my PS4 was watching my kid sibs trying to figure out where the power button was on the console itself. To my knowledge they still haven't figured it out! 😂 The looks on their faces when I just push the button (cuz I will never tell them where on the console) is worthy of a "Die A Little Inside" compilation video.
Thanks for the information
Some tips are quite useful i leave The Sub with clear conscience 👌🏻
Why Sony havent hired you to do Tutorials yet - Is beyond Comprehension Son !!! 👍
@@cessposter You seriously belive any of them has leveled up their game as well as this guy..?
Maybe there are people who know the PlayStation systems better. Example: the engineers?
Omg wow this is the best video ever. Thank you so much for this 👍🏻
Thx, this will help lots of people 💗
I’ve had my PS4 since 1 month after release. I legit only knew about 2 of these things hahaha thanks man!
I use the default screenshot option(hold to capture) because that way you can screenshot the flash screen of games unlike the quick screenshot option. I do that so my first screenshot of a certain game is its flash screen, which also you can use as a wallpaper for your PS4
I really didn't think I would learn something here, but I didn't know about double tapping the PS button! So cool :)
Very nice I leaned some new things🙂
Wow. These tips are fantastic. Thank you John. I know people are going crazy for the PS5 but the PS4 PRO is still a phenomenal piece of hardware.
One important thing:
Remapping buttons will change it permanently, so in menus or other apps it will work with remapped buttons. You cannot change it for one title only.
I genuinely didn't know any of these tricks. You just earned a sub. Thanks bro👌
thanks so much! now i can play with my controller longer
the back hole and the zoom andddd the screen shot is the only thing i dint know about soo thank man for showing this stuff 👍
I'll admit, there was a couple things here that i didnt know. thanks for showing them
Helpful to know a couple of these tips, but plenty of them such as dimming lights i do from the start because i'm all about power saving.
Thats freaky insane nice bro!💪
Bro why is your voice so calm i love it
@Adnan Yusuf why? did i brake your little gay heart hahaha shut up
I really liked how he didn’t drag things to make it a long ass video! Nice work!
I new some of these but some I didn't so thank you and I'm subing
This is so good! Thx
I am so proud of myself knowing all these :D
Found them all randomly during my ps4 time.

This is why I'm glad I'm a subscriber. Great content.
I knew all of these except the one about letting you know when it’s done charging, I have a charging station but even still it’s cool to know and a cool feature

Damn, that’s one clean controller.
Great video thanks for the tip on how to extend the controller battery life.
Thank you for sharing
I knew all of these wow
Bc when I got my ps4 I spent like an hour exploring it
Me who already knows them because of my brother: ah yes very interesting 👁👁
Thanks! 😁
I already knew all this! 😅 I always explore my control and the play station system before playing a game. I guess I’m not the only one. 😅
I need a tip to get the buttons back that went of my controller during Weekendleague
