Maybe give it more of a chance and mess with the power tuner app…that seems to do the trick all the other testers. really bummed on you guys opinion on this yami. love MXA But this just seems unfair. every other 250 shootout had a different opinion on the bike…just sayin 🤷🏼♂️
have they updated the chocolate exhast valves??
Hope they fixed the valve issues. We've had 7 new 250f in the last 4 years & they've been bulletproof until 22 & 23. Had a 22 drop an intake valve at 22 hours & a 23 drop an intake valve at 20 hours. Pull the stock valves & install a set of Pro Curcuit/Dell West valves when its new before the entire motor is junk.
Buddy of mine is a fast A rider, been running the Yamahas for a long time. The '22 and '23 bikes are blowing up on him also. He doesn't get 30 hours before they drop a valve and take out the rest of the motor.
How do you say the previous model was better without upsetting Yamaha 😂😅
Can’t wait to see Haiden in this for SX I think it’s a better SX bike.
He’s gonna win on this bike
Cannot believe they didn't update the engine. Its down 2hp and 1.8tq to the wheel from austrians and kawis and has zero top end
4hp yami makes 41 to the wheel and the 24 ktm makes 45 and ktm has more bottom to mid now with still insane top end
@@hazza-on8oc oo I was thinking previous gen. Not changing the motor for 10 years is great for the race team, but not the consumers
you can fix the bottom end and all around torque with the power tuning map
Makes my decision a lot harder, I hate Ktm cause they vibrate and all the bolts fall out
i have both bikes, the vibration on ktms is non existent meanwhile my arms are coming off after a couple laps on the yamaha
@@hazza-on8ocYamaha is got the power so maybe you should squeeze with your legs more. I have 2 yz450’s and if you twist they definitely have great power..
they have less power than every bike except suzuki and i didnt mean my arms are coming off from the power i meant from the vibration@@mxr248
ur just wrong bro bc even if there was something wrong with my yamaha that doesnt explain my ktm having 0 vibration@2216sammy
Nah you're wrong buddy. I love ktm's and have always had one in my garage for 15yrs now along with Honda crf's for 7yrs aswell and the steel frame transmit vibrations significantly more than alloy frames. Even every testing mag/company says ktm's vibrate
My 23yz 450 is super twitchy and feels like traction is hard to find with the front tire.
Yeah Dylan Ferandis had the same issues it looked like on the 450. I have the same issues riding Hondas.
What is your sag set at?
this must be a suspension setting issue. easely to be solved with some knowledge/testing with trail and error.
i'd say for more traction, try speeding up the rebound in the rear, and maybe lower the HS compression on the shock. (all of this advice is at your own risk offcourse, but this helped me)
🥰
In the beginning of the Video it was Orange.. I didn't know the new Yamaha is going to be Orange.. Then it was Blue for the rest of the Video.
Of course the most anticipated bike for 2024 is the Triumph ..
Its okay gramps lets get you to bed
@@theread3480 I know the Yamaha was not actually Orange. All the same it was dumb to show a KTM at the beginning of the Video.
Of Course the New Triumph is bigger news than a Yamaha with a few slight changes..
@@mikeskidmore6754 It’s just MXA’s intro dude
@@theread3480 I don't like intros they waste time .
Dude not everybody has a team mechanic back in the Car park, who Grins and makes multiple changes,,, so for a weekend warrior ,stick with the 23
How about the new triumph
Went with the Honda.
why cant manufactures have the knowledge of how to produce a pipe. . Every year they make a bike unreadable by putting a junk exhaust on. I am not going to show up at a race and going to finish dead last because of a stock exhaust. FMF and PC are so much smarter than the factories that its a shame. What idiots the engineers are. They can do the hard part of making a good engine but ate morons because they make such restrictive exhausts. I rather take my stock pipe off completely and let the exhaust blow out the head. And they make them out of heavy junk aluminum. How am I expected to compete in 40 B when every other bike has a Ti exhaust.? They should give us heavier springs if they are going to give us pipes that belong on xr100s. Just sell the bike with no pipes..Idiots. And just put a rear sprocket on with one tooth bigger sprocket. Forever they give us a sprocket one tooth too small.

This is like an anti Deegan bike lol, unfortunately I think my concerns will be confirmed, Star will struggle with the bike next year
😂😂😂😂😂
WTF are you even talking about nimrod. It's a much better SX bike.
Just like Tomac struggled with it.. 😅
@@MXJEFF94 relax bro it’s just my opinion🤣 and I wasn’t only talking about sx. And if you would take a second to listen, a lot of the characteristics of the bike works against how Deegan likes to ride imo
They have an entire season worth of data from the 450, 250 guy's ride it to train. Same chassis, mind you it has less weight, rotating mass, ect ect. They may have some growing pains, but they will have it dialed in pretty quick.🏁🤙

Ugly biles though !
Ah man! This was supposed to be a 2 stroke video not this 4 stroke crap
why was this supposed to be a 2 stroke video
@@theread3480 Because that’s what I typed in and didn’t pay attention to the title I guess
Yamaha ruined there best bike smh… not a fan of this years model…
Yamaha is still a bulky bike. They need to make it a bit more slim.
They did
