and that's why I watched this..I've been the go-to person that everyone else is dumping their stash of feather/eyelash yarn on so I figured it was time to see how to use it best AND perhaps make some teddy's that I can pass on..

WoW! Thanks SOOO much for this!! I have had various skeins of this in my junk bucket as I have made 4 or 5 unsuccessful attempts at using it. It is not easy to crochet, because you can't see the stitches and it is not easy to knit because the yarn does not slit well in the loops. I just had a dahhh moment when you mentioned pairing it with another yarn. Genious!

I used a very similar novelty yarn without the extra yarn added, I had to feel for every stitch! But I'm glad I persevered as it was for a gift, a baby blanket. It was a nightmare to begin with but I soon became familiar once I was a few rows running. 😊

Its not completely black like I wanted but to be fair its a scrap project anyways, but it turned out much better and cuter than I thought it would.

That’s what I do, too! This past winter I got bold and tried some soft, fuzzy yarn without the other strand. Once again ... I got frustrated. I ended up putting the project (a cowl) in time-out! It’s still there. 😕 There really is a night and day difference between using it with another strand vs working it alone.
