Thanks to Mr. Young for his great work. Really the golden age of country, I think 1992 was about the peak. Quite an accomplishment to visually say so much in barely 4 minutes. Be well Scott.
You should be very proud of your Dad's work. I love his work too! The band and their videos are classy and let the great songwritting carry the weight of the entertainment
Hey Renee; u r not alone. I have all their cds Inc. the Greatest hits one. But F.Y.I. - - - They're baaaaack!!! Check out "Marlboros & Avon". New cd & tour dates in '23!❤️
@@wayawolf1967 I would also add Confederate Railroad, Boy Howdy, and Sons Of The Desert to the list of underrated country bands from the 90's. I loved Blackhawk and the Desert Rose Band. Oh yeah, McBride & the Ride too.
I can't believe the crap they call so-called country music today replaced this. The radio stations need to dump what they are playing now and return to the 60's through the 90's.
They were very successful together for a few years. Ray’s family ran and runs Handlebar J in AZ so he left Nashville. Terry and Ray wrote BIG hits others recorded. I don’t know why, but Ray and Billy parted ways with Terry at the same time. I saw the three of them together at Douglas Corners in Nashville in an in-the-round a few years ago. Jon Michaels was the 4th. RIP to Douglas Corners(it was a great room we lost in the pandemic).
90's country was the best of all time. Still love it to this day, I just hope someday I can find a woman to share it with again. Awesome stuff right here.
Even though country music largley has turned into pop, there is still good music out there today...Want Genuine country today? Check out Chris Knight! That dude is straight up country.
Me too. The 90s was the end of simple life and sadly country music. No cell phones or e mails. Just phones and answering machines. It was a better time.
Cause Terry left and played bass guitar with Brooks & Dunn while co writing half their big hit songs after Billy Thomas went back to touring with MacDavis and Ray Herndon made a big deal about being a “background singer” instead of the band being labeled as a trio due to the label and their stupid rules. Terry still plays and sings solo acts all over Texas. But I agree! I miss the big “bands” of the 80’s & 90’s. Nothing better than badass songs with even better 3 or 4 part harmonies with a hallow body electric guitar hitting those classic riffs
@@Thebooniefrog1985 While spot on about the management (the late Ken Stilts) and label (MCA) pushing two of the three into the background being a major reason for the group breaking apart, Billy actually went on to drum and sing with Vince Gill & The Time Jumpers and Ray went to back to playing and singing with Lyle Lovett.
@@livestems5940 I completely forgot Billy went with Vince Gill. Crazy how all those musicians used to love just “playing” with other musicians to make awesome music. Truly believe that’s why music isn’t the way it used to be. Not many acts share material anymore. But back to McBride; I don’t blame them for being upset about being pushed liked that. They weren’t the only band to be treated like that, one of the reasons John Rich left Lonestar for example, however, I would love to see them play again. That seems to be the trend right now, all the bands playing at least one more tour. Even Marty got back with Shenandoah and made a new album and are touring again.
Back for some more , what happen to these guys, shit !! They had a great sound my fav song tho is same ole star , that steel guitar ? Man that is beautiful
I had the privilege of seeing these guys live in Orlando back in the 90s. It was "light up Orlando" very kind and modest group of gentlemen here. They did a meet and greet with the fans....the concert was free. Absolutely 100% respect for these gentlemen!
STILL listening and loving in 2024. Great band and great voice that I feel was never truly recognized for HOW good they really were. I'd take these guys over anything currently on country radio now.
I had never heard of you guys until today, when my girl told me the story of a 6 yr old little blonde girl took a 7 day bus ride home from BC Where a starting out country hand sang her to sleep every night. The best part was the song named after her"Felicia". It was you guys that have her the deep rooted love for country music which helped her become.the beautiful giving Big hearted real woman That I was lucky enough tovdall in love with. Anyway, thank you.
This is one of the songs (and videos) that reignited my love for country music back in 1992. Sadly, that era of "Young Country" as it was called on the radio back then seems to have died an untimely death. One can only hope that fickle music fans may someday regain their appreciation of truly timeless, beautiful country music.
This is when music had meaning from the heart not like today's music today it's from the paper paper crumbles real music lives forever in our hearts this is when music was on the radio we didn't have cell phones no Internet u had to be home before the street lights u ate supper bath then bed u back talked momma or daddy your ass was whipped with a switch
I turn 19 on Saturday and I remember my dad playing their CD all the time when I was a little girl, I love their music, this is what country music is suppose to be like, wished they were still playing.

Hello there 👋 How are you doing today, please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you're a fan ? Have a great day.. Stay Safe
I just love the sets where the group is in a closed restaurant/bar setting. It makes it seem like they are rehearsing and trying out a new song. Same thing with the video for "Love without mercy" by Lee Roy Parnell. Awesome! 😊😊😊😊😊

Even the video depicts a very different time when a couple made sacrifices to stay true to each other. Now days they just "find" someone else online and burn the old bridge.
Harmonies are so beautiful. Terry's voice is so unique. Love these guys ❤️ All their music is great. Their filler songs on their albums are all good too.
The time when I finally fell for country music way after classic rock, hair bands, heavy metal , rap. Couldn't stand country music. Then.... It opened up the whole new favorite genre all at once. Right at the top with all the rest.
Too bad you don't see this anymore. I have seen too many young ladies leave at the first sign of trouble instead of standing by the one that she "loves", instead of losing material things.
Bill Young directed some of their best videos (including this one). I'm proud to say I'm his son.
Thanks to Mr. Young for his great work. Really the golden age of country, I think 1992 was about the peak. Quite an accomplishment to visually say so much in barely 4 minutes. Be well Scott.
Beautifully done
I have always loved Mcbride and the Ride and you have right to feel the pride you do

I just made the comment that Here I am 12 years after making my comment on another McBride and the ride song still listening to their music ..
This is one of my favorite country songs of all time.
The 90s rocked for country
Something about 90s country music soothes the soul and immediately everything is alright
Mcbride and the ride, diamond rio , Shenandoah 'little texas, so underated
Restless Heart, Blackhawk, Southern Pacific, Desert Rose Band, so many more just made the 90s awesome.

A lot of things now days cant compare to the good ol' days. People now days are proving that evolution is not true......RME
It's 2021 and I'm still listening.. what are you guys up to now. ?
I never understood why these guys weren't more successful! Damn they were good!
I agree. This music is every bit as good as George Straight, Keith Whitley, Dwight Yoakum, or anyone else. This is what country music sounds like.
Poor management . Label didn't push them much
Still good. They just released a song

Totally underrated. Should be role models for any up and coming artist. 95% of todays music doesn't close.
We the fans need to build group up. It takes the fans to push
AWWW when country music was alive and well.
McBride and the ride was awesome
Great band. Terry Mcbride is a great singer. They should've been bigger.
I really love this era of country music
One of the greatest country bands that came out of the 90's.
Still listening in 2019.
Now THIS is country music, not that garbage that's being passed off as country music on today's radio.
You got that right! I totally agree!
Todays country is just rap with a country twang..It sux. Writers have no heart and singers have no talent....
Even though country music largley has turned into pop, there is still good music out there today...Want Genuine country today? Check out Chris Knight! That dude is straight up country.
Listening in October 2020 while my wife is in bubble bath married 26 years and still love her as much or more than in 6th grade.
Bless you both.
Another underrated group.
Joshua Brooks one of the 90s best!
Wish their music was played these days instead of the noise that is supposedly country.
Who else is listening in 2019?
Actually I'm listening in 2020. :)

I can't stand Country Radio Today in the Car!!! Never turn it on after groups from the 70's 80' & 90's!! I got my CD'S though!!! "Love this"
I'll say it again...you just can't beat Terry McBride's vocals. Damn, he's good.
What I wouldn't give to see these guys live again *big sigh*! 😪
Something about this hit...if you love country love Ballads, here's the real deal...still in March 2022
When you are young, there is nothing that compares with the love of a beautiful woman but so hard to hold onto.
Underrated group lead singer crushed it
Now, this is great country music! Why don't I hear more tunes and artists like him on country radio stations?
Who is still listening to this awesome brand of country in 2023. Timeless...raw...country.
When music wasn't all this digital and mixed crap! Under rated and appreciated by far!
I listen to this and I am instantly transported by to my teens. What a great feeling to go back to a wonderful time.
Me too. The 90s was the end of simple life and sadly country music. No cell phones or e mails. Just phones and answering machines. It was a better time.
Back when country stations played country music.....Not carrie underwood and luke bryan.
Can't stand luke Bryan he sound like he has a clothes pin on his nose
I miss this kind of music. I love music like this.
Love this song
REAL COUNTRY... 1990'S
I feel the truth in their music it goes straight to the heart
