Thanks for these videos! I may be in the process of replacing my waveraider 1100 motor so this will be very helpful. Im going to try and send you some money for a coffee :)
This may be a dumb question… but i out my motor in. Slid it into the shaft and mounted with everything the way it was with the shims. However, the coupler isn’t all the way in, it has to move atleast and inch. Any tips other than slidding it forward? Curious because i feel like If i move it back more it won’t line up with the mounts
Is this the engine that came with that ski? If I remember correctly the non powervalve engine had removable mounts. Did you reinstall those mounts properly, if you took them off the block? It is possible that your mounts were installed backwards if you took them off. Or possibly upside down which would put the ears of the mount in the wrong position. I dont think I removed mine from the block.
I got my stolen gp1200 back so I can probably video the mounts and how they are supposed to go on if you need that. Email me. My email is in the description of each video.
Still can't believe how clean this one is. Engine looks factory fresh, no touch of salt. Even the front hood plastic straps haven't broken yet.
It runs like a new one as well.
Great information. Just bought a 1998 gp1200W tonight.
