I have same but a 2005 and i started getting oil in bilge. If i wanted to replace the oil lines (my suspicion of leak), is that easier than going this premix/injection cutoff route?
Hello brother, plz i got a 2005 waverunner 700 xl , i want to go on premix too without by passing the oil pump . So my question is : is it ok to just directly empting the oil tank and go straight forward with the premix without bypassing Thank u so much .
Yeah I was referring to the smaller two of the four bolts that hold that plate on . I was able to get it the exhaust out by taking it apart in two pieces. Another crusty Yamaha lol
What's funny it probably was not even the oil pump 90% of the time it's a fuel pressure leak on the tank or on the Rubber seal on the gas cap or on the pop valve it's usually a pressure leak that makes these things run lean it's very rare the oil pump is self now it may be a oil line that breaks but like I said hardly ever the oil pump and nobody knows to check 4 pressure every year before you put your ski in the water
you could but you would need to block off the oil lines . it’s best to remove and put in the block plate for any possible confusion further down the line when a new owner puts straight gas in .
What caused the oil lines to be hard as a rock. ? And previous owner blew pistons 3 times. Another question if he had a lean problem by adding premixed in tge tank will that fix the lean issue also ?

Hey I have an 07 1300r is there anyway to see the oil lines to see if clamps have been upgraded without removing exhaust? If not how long did the exhaust removal take you? Seems like a headache.
@@cadesground2514 I ordered a camera that I can snake down through there to check everything out so I don't gotta pull the exhaust if I don't have to 😂 it looks like a head ache
oil pumps never fail on a 1300 r, if sumthin happens to throttle it goes into fail safe mode full oil, u need to replace ur oil lines every 3 years or go to a silicone style line will last longer and not get brittle , also make em longer so shrinkage dont pull dm off nipple
Can anyone here tell me where that oil line that comes off the top of the oil goes.? 🤔 About 1" up it has a baby tiny oil line that come off then the hose goes to a one way valve then I don't know where it goes from there

Depends on what you want. It’s easier at the gas pump if it’s injected. But safer at times with premix
How do you stop the oil warning light after installing the block off plate? Is there a specific connector under the steering column in the harness?
Probably can split the wires together but I usually just leave a little bit of oil in the tank
Hello, nice video, I have a GP 1200r Smokes a lot and also there is a lot of oil on the bottom of the jet. Do you recommend I should do the same?
Yours is still oil injected?
Did you have to bypass sensor and reservoir
On the level sensor you can connect them together

I mean it’s not recommended bc the oil pump will run dry but I think it’s possible
Should the exhaust gasket be replaced after removing, and do the head bolts have to come off the get the chamber out. Don’t want to risk breaking them
Yes it should be raplaced. I sometimes spray coppertone on them if they are metal. Head bolts don’t need to come off

@@joshuaramquist9909 yes they do
What is the mix ratio you used

Yea this one had hard brittle oil lines and the guy said he would rather mix the gas
Do a video showing how to do a fuel pressure test
how do you check?
I was looking for this exact information. Great video, but when you edit and add music, you need to change the music volume level.
Lower or higher? This video is older
@@CocosPlayound music volume. :) like I said, great video with the exact info I needed.
Question: do you have to actually do the bypass? What if you just Empty the oil tank and add premix gas?
And take the oil pump off

We always delete them but you have to pull the exhaust

so now he mixes the gas and oil? the owner? I have the same problem it's why my question...😥
Yup he mixes the gas instead of relying on the oil injection

What ratio do you all use after deleting the oil pump?
