Your stitching is wonderful. My favorite part I think was your carrot button and a close second is the vaseline technique, which is awesome. I cannot wait to try this! Ohhhh and thank you for showing us how to lace the back. I think I prefer this over using hot glue. So much great info in one video. Thank you much!!
I am finally going to try needle work. I am starting to learn the stitches. ❤️❤️. I already do scrapbooking and a lot of different crafts. I want to learn this❤️
Thank you for sharing Nichol. I haven’t tried lacing but am planning on trying it with this project now that I watched you do it. You project turned out so cute!!
Thank you so much for sharing! I do a fair bit of finishing but I have yet to try lacing - might give it a go on this piece! The button is the absolute perfect finish!!
Love this SAL. Nichol thank you for sharing your knowledge and time. After 35 plus years back to enjoying cross stitch. Love seeing everyone's beautiful work! The finish piece is awesome.
I have laced embroidery projects on the hoop but just use mat board for cross stitch. I just use double sided tape on the back so I can remove it if i want to, not a fan of hot glue so try to avoid it if i can
Pearl Cotton works well also. I have laced. I liked the Lori Holt lacing video. She starts in the middle and works to one end. Checks for adjustment and then goes from the middle to the other end.
You are amazing! The paddle finishing is absolutely mind blowing. I never would’ve thought to use Vaseline to create this finish. After taking all the time to stitch a piece, I too prefer not to place it against the sticky part of the sticky board. Customized buttons really adds a perfect touch. TFS.
I loved watching you finish. You would NOT believe the pile of un-finished projects. It's actually embarassing . . . maybe someday. I do have one question . . . did you use the same count fabric to make the button as your stitched piece ? Thanks so much for all your time and talent.
In the 80s I was taught to lace. Martha Beth Lewis has great lacing tutorials too. Thanks for a great video!!
Hey! If I ever sneak in late to a live and not say hi, it’s because I’m watching on the tv - enjoying watching the beginning I missed - thx!

I was taught to frame hand work by lacing. I had a shop staple my cross stitch and I wa so Sade. Lacing is the best!
I love this finish so much. Have never seen the gasoline tip. I’m going to try this on my finish. Nicole, you are amazing ❤️
Super Adorable!!!! I love every little detail!!!
The lacing doesn't look as scary as it sound. I will definitely try this. Your finish looks amazing.
This is beautiful Nichol! Such a great tutorial. Thank you!

That looks FANTASTIC!
Great finish! Love Chantelle’s finishing pieces.
Really pretty. I have doubled up quilting thread you use in your sewing machine before for lacing, also used pearl cotton.

Amazing! I can’t wait to finish mine. Such a great tutorial - it makes me feel more confident to give it a try!
Such a cute finish, can hardly wait to start.
How may coats of spray paint ?
I did 2 for better coverage.

Yes, I used the same fabric.
I feel the knots add character. I’d be just fine with the knots. She should sell those maybe at a discount. 🤷🏼♀️
Yep, I love the wood knots also!
Chantelle did offer a bunch awhile back. I will share this with her. ❤️
