Well, the Nerd/James Rolfe is a self-confessed "game collector" as said at the beginning of the Nintendo World Championships 1990 episode, so it's not outside the realm of plausibility.
If only 2006 James knew about Halloween, the 2018 sequel to Halloween, not to be confused with Halloween 2, the previous sequel to Halloween, or the remake of Halloween called Halloween, or the sequel to the remake of Halloween, Halloween 2.
The 2018 Halloween was gonna be called Halloween Returns, before it was just changed to Halloween.

The Naked Gun 2 was shelved after test audiences reacted negatively to all of the space shuttle Challenger jokes in it. At great personal expense, the producers brought back the original cast for multiple re-shoots, but were legally prohibited from calling it part 2 or part 3, so the judge ruled it would have to be 2 1/2 or 2.5; they went with the former choice, since they figured audiences wouldn't understand decimals. As for Part 3, it was delayed because OJ kept murdering random people on the set, and eventually shelved. Parts 4-32 were plagued with problems and left incomplete, due to numerous mysterious mishaps, generally attributed to a curse by an old Gypsy Jim Abrahams bumped into during the shooting of "Kentucky Fried Movie" in the 70s. Part 33 was going fine until OJ killed his wife, so they re-cut it to downplay his role, once again legally required to re-title it as 33 1/3. Hope this helps.

And Wolf:TNO is actually a sequel to Wolf09 as, in the beginning of the game, it takes place in 1946. Wolf09 ends in 1945. Also, later in the game Caroline Becker mentions about how she survived the gunshot from Hans and about being lifted up into that portal tat formed after william killed the queen geist and such.

The 2018 Halloween shares the same title as the 2007 Rob Zombie film and the 1978 original. And the new Scream in 2022 shares the same name as the original in 1996 apparently Hollywood didn't get the memo. This was a problem back in 2007 and even today it's still a problem.
