This is from way back in the day, when Taz, and Tommy Crain were a huge part of the CDB, and now Taz, Tommy, and Charlie are all jammin away up in Heaven, and beating that Devil in Georgia on that Golden Fiddle.
@@mjford6152 Charlie Hayward is still alive, and kickin. My comment speaks only of the 2 Original Band Members who passed away before Charlie Daniels, and as stated in my comment, those 2 were Tommy Crain, and Taz Digregorio. Taz was the longest original Band member. Tommy was next, then Charlie Hayward. Charlie Hayward is the only surviving Band Member who was with the CDB for more than 20 consecutive years.
WHAT A GREAT FIND!!! Charlie Daniels back in the day just kickin' butt. He just got better with age!! RIP Charlie and thanks for the great performances.... Gone BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!!
Charlie Daniels was country and he was Fusion, the morons who box themselves into a musical genre just can't fathom that and never will. That's what makes Charlie Daniels a legend......talent with his band beyond music labeling parameters.
Makes me sad... Those days are long gone and will never be back! Taz, IMO, was the best of the best of all the Southern Rock Keyboardists... And what a VOICE too!
We have been looking for this video for years! Did you record it from the broadcast? The band was told that something had happened to the recording - a problem with the tape or something like that. They thought it was lost. The date was January 8, 1981.
He must have been a responsible gun owner . i never heard anything about him getting into trouble or problems concerning his firearm . N o Charges concerning his firearm . Responsible .

Well son that was damn stupid. Guess you never realized he ended bout every Volunteer Jam with a gospel tune.....and most live shows. But you can be a dumbass....it's your right.
As a younger man, I put Charlie Daniels solely in the country genre. Wrong. So wrong. This man has so many different musical styles. Absolute legend.
He was awesome
K-SHE 95, a progressive rock station in St. Louis, played him on regular. I suggest you research all Capricorn record artist.

Hell Yes, nobody is as cool as Charlie in my book!

RIP Charlie, Tommie, and Taz. Thank You!
Love those twin guitar runs. CDB is blowing my mind.... Down East NC royalty giving a master class
Got to see the big man 3 times. This is the CBD Bands best lineup. RIP Guys.

Tommy John Craine.....one hell of a picker. RIP
First time saw Charlie play was in 1971 New Orleans summer jam as second back up band. He stole the show, was broke but not for too much longer.
Love CDB, Love NOLA!
@@tiedyedkarma thanks was a great concert, everyone was there, Johnnie winter,is brother, Eric Clapton was the headliner of the concert.
Awesome!! 🎸🎸
True experts there. What a group.
Great band. A friend of mine still has his Boogie combo like those. Loud.
One of the best concerts I've ever been to was Charlie Daniels and Lynard Skynyrd in the colesium in Houston Texas
Saw them both many times down here in Fla. Southern Rock was the best
That would have been awesome to see. I envy you both. I was born in 73. Loved both growing up Charlie and Hank Jr introduced me to Skynyrd
❤thank you!❤
Thanks Cornelius.
Great line up!
This rocks
Just keep playing music and quiet stopping.
I saw this back in early 80s when it showed on PBS TV. Where can I buy the video 🤔😊😍
This was their second show on ACL I think. The first was in 76 or 77 with the Allman Brothers.
Do you have the full Balcones Fault Austin City Limits performance from Season 1 in 1976?🙂
No unfortunately I don’t have that one.

Did PBS know Charlie was such a gun lover, and 2nd amendment supporter? This is a good live session.

One of our very best
That wasn't really an issue for PBS in 1981.
PBS wouldn't have him on today and they are taxpayer supported rip charlie
Can't you see
Version was awfel
I don’t think they were influenced by the Allman Brothers Band, not one bit…
Charlie started playing in Nashville with Dillon.....and Dwayne might have set in on that session!
Thank you for posting this video ! You Rock 🤘
Yes.!! the CDB band ..before Charlie went Jesus on us ...and I was forced to throw all of his albums in trash.. NOT SORRY CHARLIE..
You could a just kept scrolling, but that wouldn't get you any attention, would it?
