RIP Charlie Daniels and thanks for all the great tunes!
Real American music from one of the best to ever do it. Rest In Peace, Charlie.
Such an underrated band.... Taz DiGregorio was just amazing on the keyboards.... just a damn good band...
I seen CHARLIE TWICE IN LATE 70S IN COLUMBIA ONE CONCERT CALLED FULL MOON TOUR LEGEND OF WOOLEY SWAMP. FANTASTIC CONCERT
No country star has ever told a better story than Charlie Daniels.
He is great no doubt
I've been jammin with CDB over 40yrs
Man...what a show!!! Them southern boys from the sticks sure could play!! What great musicians, the whole band. I sure wish the video was better but the audio makes up for it. Blown away, love the sound of them Les Pauls!!!
That is one hell of a Man and that boy can play.
We miss you Charlie!!!!!!!
First concert I ever saw was Charlie on his Uneasy Rider tour, either in 1973 or 1974. So long ago I can't remember. He was the opening act for Focus. Been a huge fan ever since. The CDB, some damn good cowboys...
First concert that I ever saw was The Charlie Daniels Band in Cincinnati,Ohio at Riverfront Coliseum,1979. Molly Hatchet opened. Jay Ferguson from the band Spirit was supposed to be there that night as well but he cancelled.
i was three years old when this was new and i still hold this closest to my soul good rthym and soul
Saw ol' Charlie a few weeks ago and am seeing him again tomorrow. You might as well roll back the clock to 1980 because he sounds as good now as he did then - if not better.
R.I.P.
I like how he sings.
Awesome! Nobody beats the CDB!
Tommy Crain.
damn right. that boy could rip
I love "Carolina, (I Remember You)".
"Carolina I loved you before the highways got to you....". Yes, great song. Reminds me of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "All I can do is write about It".
I saw the cdb 3 time I wish I would saw 10 time love his music and all will.
He's originally from Wilmington North Carolina seeing him play in bars for small crowds .I know I seen him Countless times before he ever hit the big-time. He used to play a place called Louise Rock City. Yeah the Confederate flag certainly wouldn't be welcome on a stage today but it used to be hell yeah it was great!
Seen him in Denver at the grizzly 🌹 rose and in Cheyenne at frontier days many times always was great enertainment never a bad show applause to the band 😊
@@byrontalley6934 I was out there in 85 and went to see Willie Nelson at the bar little bear and the week before charlie daniels had played there as well, just flew in from Virginia
Thank you !!!
I'm hoping someone can help me with a video that seems to have vanished from utube. Charlie Daniel's black and white full concert, he had girls dancing in parts of the concert but he played his opening song and I believe said good evening new jersey we are the charlie daniels band from Mt juliet TN and it's Saturday night ain't it! If I remember anyways ya disappeared thanx anyone who might see this and help me
CDB always played americasmusic
Hey man, I went to school with a Danny Jones in North Carolina, would you happen to him? I'm talking about late 70s , early 80s. If not I believe I'm going to try to connect with him, I know some folks I believe can get me in touch, anyway thank you for reminding me of him if you are not him, we were purdy good friends. D..... how time flies.
When are you coming to Minneapolis, Charlie? I'll get a ticket. Don't know who to ask to come with me, so I'll go by myself. God Bless you! Mimi
When I was 23
In Oakland with a Rebel flag displayed.....Awesome! That wouldn't happen today with the anti American atmosphere in Oakland these days. Go Gitem CDB!!!!!
no way in hell. the Wokes would skin u alive lol
Down and dirty rocks! What album is it off? He said it's brand stinkin' new, but its not on my version of Full Moon
Sadly it appears the band never put it to tape as a studio recording. It is a rockin' tune.
Nightrider or fire on the mountain
before all the political stuff..keeping it southern rock
His political stuff was great bro. Also your last name is garbage
I grew up on his "Million Mile Reflections" album; it belonged to my father. I can remember being 3 or 4 and staring entranced at the painting of the band and desert background. The songs have stuck with me, and are likely responsible for my eclectic tastes in music-- can anyone honestly tell me what genre "Blue Star" is, really? Prog-Disco-funk rock?
And of course, "Blind Man"-- while most of my peers and my wife reminisce about hearing Skynyrd doing "Curtis Loew", my "Curtis" was "Blind Man"... No wonder I'm a little twisted. Being 4 and puzzling over wth a "Ku Klux Klan" is and why it burns people's eyes with branding irons was more than a little confusing, and extremely terrifying, but undeniably intriguing.
Best era for country music - the Outlaw Country era. Everything after 1985 sucked.
His family is going to give back what was stolen too.
Ads in the middle of songs!! This sucks! Good day sir!
Tell me you're stupid without telling me you're stupid
Don't get me wrong- I am thankful for this video and the opportunity to watch one of my favorite singers ever- but the cinematography sucks! I've seen better videos of Elvis in the 60's.
