technically speaking, darkseid is even more powerful than stated, its just that he's too far beyond calculation. thanos is stronger than stated here too, but the gap actually grows giving them their higher stats
@@djmac8537 that's also true. but we also know that the authority of right to death can be taken from lady death also. case and point, thanos doing it to deadpool, steven strange's ridiculously long lifespan that far exceeds human limits, wolverines deal with the devil to be revived if he somehow did die, hulks immortality, and so many more
@@djmac8537 Was that the case when this was made though? Also, now it is the case for him and his brother, like the gauntlet, would being in another universe, with it's own Death, override that?
"Why did Deadpool show up?" Because that's Thanos' one, recurring weakness: Lady Death is in love with Deadpool, but Thanos is in love with Lady Death. Lady Death is the one he's trying to impress with all these quests and killing half the universe, and Death doesn't want him.
Well..... she does want him. She just feels Thanos isn't worthy of her. And when he got the infinity Gauntlet....... she felt that SHE wasn't worthy of his affections. She does have an attraction for both Deadpool and Thanos both. Its just she feels DP deserves her love and attention.
@@theduckgoesmoo then Thanos would use the Infinity Stones to make you immortal so you would never get near her LMAO ( which btw is exactly what he did to Deadpool)
The fact that Darkseid can reach the Source Wall in seconds at the edge of the universe is a big factor, as the Source Wall is basically the border between the DC Universe and the creators/our own.
@@DigitalPand3mic ye like the source wall is the barrier not just around the universe but the multiverse that separates the source of everything from the dc multiverse cluster but also separates it from the greater omniverse so marvel multiverse cluster the image comics multiverse with spawn or the darkness comics basically darkseid took a trip to the barrier separating dc from every other multiversal cluster and the source of everything in a few seconds while on top of that he can destroy a universe just by showing up he is probs one of the most busted beings in dc not counting celestial beings or lower omniversal beings like the endless
Regarding: "Is darksied in any of the DC movies" - He's briefly seen as the power behind the big bad in the Justice League movie. That's clearly where they were planning to go had it not fallen apart. - He is in a couple of the DC animated movies. Some of the clips they showed (Such as the omega beams chasing Flash and Superman) were from some of the recent movies
@@theduckgoesmoo DC actually has a pretty solid animated movie continuity, similar to the MCU. They wrapped it up a year ago. You'd get a lot more familiar with DC if you checked them out. The watch order is: Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox (2013) Justice League: War (2014) Son of Batman (2014) Justice League: Throne of Atlantis (2015) Batman vs. Robin (2015) Batman: Bad Blood (2016) Justice League vs. Teen Titans (2016) Justice League Dark (2017) Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (2017) Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018) The Death of Superman (2018) Reign of the Supermen (2019) Batman: Hush (2019) Wonder Woman: Bloodlines (2019) Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020)
This is the correct result. Like with Raiden vs Thor or Rishi vs Jiraiya the two combatants we're nowhere close in terms of strength. They faced off because their characters are in similar roles in their own franchises (That's literally being discount Darkseid) not because it would make a fair fight.
the thing is aswell thanos at his highest is universal level of power as in he can destroy his universe and recreate it with all the infinity stones darkseid is lower to middle multiversal level considering he could in theory with the levels of power he has displayed just blitz every universe in the dc multiverse only reason he doesn't is he wants to control everything not destroy it and there are beings far stronger then him who probs woulden't allow it. basically its just a tad unbalanced fight because darkseid is inherently stronger and has a better powerlevel in general like darkseid to take him out you need very specific information and understanding of new gods to take out thanos you just need to take his infinity stones if he has them then blitz him which if thanos was fighting even another universal level being in a fair fight they should be able to cus thanos isen't naturally universal level in terms of power more solar system level i think the reason thanos is seen as so op is really down to him fighting planet to city level powerlevels on average and the fact most writers give him batman level plot armor which as a solar system level being is just nuts
Small fact for next season: They get rid of the announcer shouting “Fight” during the matches. I doubt this’ll mean much to you, but it did for a lot of people.
@@doomslayer1210 It was because it was interfering in how they wrote the fights. Because they had to write a moment where the characters just stand there doing nothing so the announcer could say fight.
Funny thing about that last shot with Darkseid: if you look closely you'll see him crush the Infinity Gauntlet. Another fun fact: Darkseid once had that in the JLA/Avengers Crossover.
TRIVIA TIME!! (There's a LOT) 1) The connections between Thanos and Darkseid are that they are two of the most physically powerful intergalactic warlords of rival comic book companies, are members of cosmic races (Eternals and New Gods, respectively), and seek objectives that will enable them to end life on a universal scale: the Infinity Gems for Thanos and the Anti-Life Equation for Darkseid. 1a) Both are also arch-enemies to their respective series' superhero teams (Thanos to the Avengers and Darkseid to the Justice League). 1b) Coincidentally (and somewhat ironically), whilst Thanos' main weapon is named the Infinity Gauntlet, bringing to mind a never-ending nature, Darkseid's power is known as the Omega Effect, which is named after a symbol representing the end of something. 2) Due to the three re-examined episodes that happened before, Boba Fett VS Samus Aran (Remastered), Goku VS Superman 2, and Mario VS Sonic (2018), Thanos VS Darkseid is technically the 100th UNIQUE matchup that has been made into an episode. 3) This is the 15th Marvel VS DC themed episode, after Rogue VS Wonder Woman, Batman VS Spider-Man, Batman VS Captain America, Deadpool VS Deathstroke, Iron Man VS Lex Luthor, Green Arrow VS Hawkeye, Flash VS Quicksilver, Hulk VS Doomsday, Venom VS Bane, Thor VS Wonder Woman, Batman Beyond VS Spider-Man 2099, Black Panther VS Batman, Doctor Strange VS Doctor Fate, and Nightwing VS Daredevil, and with the next 9 being Aquaman VS Namor, Captain Marvel VS Shazam, Ghost Rider VS Lobo, Miles Morales VS Static, Cable VS Booster Gold, Winter Soldier VS Red Hood, Batgirl VS Spider-Gwen, Lex Luthor VS Doctor Doom, and Batman VS Iron Man. 4) This is the 1st Marvel VS DC themed Season Finale. 4a) This is the 5th 3D Marvel VS DC fight, after Deadpool VS Deathstroke, Iron Man VS Lex Luthor, Hulk VS Doomsday, and Thor VS Wonder Woman, and with the next one being Batgirl VS Spider-Gwen. 5) This is the 13th Villains themed episode, after Akuma VS Shang Tsung, Goomba VS Koopa, Eggman VS Wily, Shao Kahn VS M. Bison, Fulgore VS Sektor, Darth Vader VS Doctor Doom, Bowser VS Ganon, Joker VS Sweet Tooth, Venom VS Bane, Shredder VS Silver Samurai, Sephiroth VS Vergil, and Ultron VS Sigma, and with the next 8 being Ganondorf VS Dracula, The Seven Battle Royale, Lex Luthor VS Doctor Doom, Heihachi Mishima VS Geese Howard, Goku Black VS Reverse-Flash, Akuma VS Shao Kahn, Madara VS Aizen, and Galactus VS Unicron. 5a) This is the 2nd one to be Marvel VS DC themed, after Venom VS Bane, and with the next one being Lex Luthor VS Doctor Doom. 6) This is the 2nd Season Finale that features two antagonists/villains fighting against each other, after Sephiroth VS Vergil. 7) This is the 3rd Death Battle to include Omega Sparx in the music, after Balrog VS TJ Combo and Ryu VS Jin, and with the next one being Miles Morales VS Static. 7a) This is the 2nd time Omega Sparx has an original song in the music, after Ryu VS Jin, and with the next one being Miles Morales VS Static. 8) This is the 7th episode to feature an original track with lyrics, after Goku VS Superman 2's "Alive", Wolverine VS Raiden' "Exo", Meta VS Carolina's "Slingshot", Ryu VS Jin's "Fight Like A Devil", Optimus Prime VS Gundam's "Wings of Iron", and Ultron VS Sigma's "Infection Perfection", and with the next 10 being Ben 10 VS Green Lantern's "Emerald Heroes", All Might VS Might Guy's "Mighty", Miles Morales VS Static's "Watts Up Danger", Gray VS Esdeath's "Lost Ice Storms", Sabrewulf VS Jon Talbain's "Blood Moon", Hulk VS Broly's "Ikari", Shadow VS Ryuko's "Chaos Unraveled", Blake VS Mikasa's "Thunder Shroud", Batman VS Iron Man's "Suit Yourself", and Goku Black VS Reverse-Flash's "Reverse Rose". 9) This is the 3rd Death Battle to feature Boomstick making some type of Captain Planet joke, after Shao Kahn VS M. Bison and Ken VS Terry, with the next two being Aang VS Edward Elric and Sasuke VS Hiei. 10) This is the 1st episode where the loser dies by a bullet, with the next one being Red VS Blue. 11) This is the 1st episode where the loser is killed an infinite amount of times. 12) This is the 3rd episode where Wiz groans right before saying his "The winner is..." phrase, after Gaara VS Toph and Smokey Bear VS McGruff the Crime Dog. 13) This is the LAST episode to use the "FIGHT!" announcement before the battle begins. 13a) However, it was temporarily returned in Black Canary VS Sindel, The Seven Battle Royale, and Heihachi Mishima VS Geese Howard. 14) This is the 3rd episode where the winner defeated the loser by sending the latter to his or her turf after Ryu VS Scorpion and Flash VS Quicksilver and with the next one being Iron Fist VS Po. 15) This is the first episode where the combatants kill each other multiple times, with the next being Goku Black VS Reverse-Flash (Thanos destroys Darkseid's avatar multiple times, and Darkseid traps Thanos in the Omega Sanction) 16) The popular rap artist JT Music (also featured on Rooster Teeth) released a rap battle between the two the same day to coincide with the fight. The music video also features clips of the battle. This is done again for Miles Morales VS Static as they’re fight was also shown in the rap battle. 17) Despite them saying only Season 4 had no appearances of Deadpool, he also didn't make an appearance in Season 1. 18) Thanks to their size-alteration powers, Darkseid and Thanos (using the Space Stone) are currently the largest characters in Death Battle history, with both being larger than stars. True Darkseid's size is never fully shown but is canonically stated to have a shadow that eclipses the DC multiverse. 19) This is the 3rd episode where a character had prior knowledge of his opponent's weakness, after Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Battle Royale and Meta VS Carolina. According to the Result popup notes, the JLA/Avengers crossover could technically be considered canon, and thus Darkseid would have already been aware of the fact that the Infinity Gauntlet does not work outside of the Marvelverse. 20) Coincidentally, the first official trailer of Avengers: Endgame premiered prior to the release of this episode. 20a) Ironically, it premiered shortly after the release of Thanos' preview video. TRACK!! The track used for this fight is "Kings of Infinity" composed by Brandon Yates and having vocals sung by OmegaSparx. It opens with deep and slow-paced piano notes before techno beats begin to play over with it. The lyrics sung are presented as slow-paced to reflect the immense physical prowess of the two combatants. The title of the track reflects the two combatants' status as rulers of their armies, especially Darkseid's status as the Lord of Apokolips. The "Infinity" part of the title likely refers to Thanos' signature weapon, the Infinity Gauntlet. The title cover features the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos' main weapon, in front of the Omega symbol, reflecting Darkseid's power of the Omega Effect.
Time for a VA Fun Fact: Darkseid in this battle is voiced by Edward Bosco. He's one I see all over the place, but have never actually delved into the filmography, so admittedly, this one's for me to finally do some proper research. You heard him recently as the bouncer for Ozzie's in the new Helluva Boss episode. He's also the voice of Alastor (radio demon) in Hazbin Hotel. In Final Fantasy VII Machinabridged, he voiced Tifa's Dad (along with a couple other background characters). OH SNAP! He's the voice of one my favorite characters in Terrain of Magical Expertise, Doubling, and I still look forward to the eventual reaction to that series. Otherwise, he's got a lot of side characters in anime. Also, at the time of this comment, new HFIL episode from TeamFourStar just released on UA-cam. I'm excite for your reaction.
I don't know if anyone mentioned it... but DC and Marvel did have a crossover once... Darkseid called the Infinity stones as "useless rocks" in it. Just wrap your head around that one for a sec.
16:13 Darkseid's true size is so big, Darkseid himself is the size of our own universe (for reference). His "tubes" shrink down his avatars/clones to fit in. If he came in with his true size, his sheer size and mass would basically suck in our entire universe to him like how if a giant planet suddenly appeared next to Earth, our planet, moon and most likely other planets would almost instantly be sucked into its gravitational radius Just like how if debris in space above gets close enough to Earth's atmosphere, it starts to get pulled towards Earth and burns up as it goes through the atmosphere. So essentially, we're nothing but a piece of debris burning up and colliding with everything else as Darkseid's gravity would pull us all to him. 22:14 Also, their punch was so powerful, it esssntially reset the universe as it "popped" back into existence. They created a new big bang.
what i find mad is in most modern instances of dc darkseid is one of the lower multiversal beings now cus you got beings like lucifer trigon and the presence running around among others and what i diden't realise is in some comics not only is darkseid seemingly weaker then most other mutliversal and omniversal beings in dc now but beings like trigon have actually overtaken him in some canons like i don't know if its still true haven't checked out dc or marvel in ages but i remember at one point trigon coulden't even win vs earths hero's yet in another comic he actually apparently fights the presence prime god of dc to a stalemate like i don't know feel like darkseid aint getting the love from writers he used to
Oh duck... your kryptonite for "speed kills" is gonna be the death of your odds of wins to loses. Sometimes it's all about raw strength and durability.
You should watch a dude called the Imaginary Axis, he's done a couple videos on Darkseid showing how much of a terror he is. You should watch his other ones too like his own video he did on Thanos and on the Flash
Fun Fact: At some point in the comics, Thanos used to get around in a yellow helicopter with his name on it, the Thanos Copter. This was back when he could just get arrested by normal police officers.
That wasn't in the main line 616 comic universe. It was in an alternate universe comic made for younger readers that was a spinoff of the Spidey Super Stories segment on the Electric company show that was meant to teach kids how to read.
@@marvelfantasy472 It was, but DC actually made it canon. When talking about his past, they say he stole a bunch of cakes from a some Scout program. It's hilarious
i love how the reactions to this video are usually the same beginning of the video : "this is unfair, how darkseid is going to fight if thanos has the infinity gautlet?" after seing the true darkseid : "EXISTENCE IS PAIN"
They actually lowballed them both here. More recent showing of Thanos have him more powerful naturally than he is with the gauntlet in his early appearances, but that's still far from being able to contend with Darkseid. Darkseid, and all of the gods in DC, are living platonic concepts. Darkseid is the literal manifestation of the idea of evil, he transcends physical reality entirely. And their speed calc is actually a lowball so great that numbers don't even do it justice. The source wall doesn't exist at the edge of the universe, it exists at the edge of the Monitor sphere, which encompasses the sphere of the gods, which encompasses the multiverse contained within the 5-dimensional Bleed. The source wall is a boundary to a realm that transcends even ideas. He didn't travel to the edge of a physical space in seconds, he traveled to edge of the very concept of reality where time and space hold no meaning. He is beyond even the idea of motion, speed is irrelevant to him, as is anything that Thanos considers power. This was probably the most laughably one-sided mismatch in Death Battle's history.
Technically Darksied and Thanos are kinda brothers since they were created by the same one man Jack the king Kirby, he created Darksied for dc comics first then when he left dc and went to work for marvel they asked him to make them a Darksied so he created Thanos for marvel. No really it’s true.
When this death battle first came out or announced everybody was like Thanos would win with ease all because based off of the movies, but when people started to actually watch the death battle, majority of people realize that the movies and comics are COMPLETELY different, cause Darkseid is just way to OP Compared to Thanos and to top it all off, i’ve said it before and I’ll say it again there are character’s in the Marvel and DC comic books that makes thanos and Darkseid look like kids, and me personally I think Darkseid is a better villain🤷♂️, and by the way just so y’all know the word (COPYRIGHT) does not exists When it comes to Marvel and DC characters., because everybody knows that Thanos is a rip off of Darkside, and DC has copied Marvel when it comes to characters and Marvel has Copied DC when it comes to characters and so on and so fourth.
@@titanhades4331 thing is technically darkseid is mid multiverse level only reason he doesn't nuke everything is he wants to rule it and also if he did other dc villains/beings above or equal to him like trigon the presence and lucifer would all come and blitz him for ruining their playground. while with thanos he is solar system level without the gauntlet and universal level with it but he fights street to planet level heros its just in my opinon abit awkward since thanos only deals with a couple galaxy level heros in most comics while when darkseid actually makes a move normally the whole of earths hero's in dc and their allies across the galaxy tend to show up to me seems thanos stole or got that batman suit of plot armor from the source lol
"I have turned 100,000 worlds to dust looking for Anti-life, looking for those who robbed me of my glory. I will stride across their bones and bask in the glow of anti-life" Darkseid Zack Snyder's Justice League
0:09 "Darkseid exists" Interestingly, there is a "saying" in DC universe: Darkseid IS. 0:30 "They don't do him justice compared to the comic version" Actually, it's not that they don't do him "justice", unless people saying that meant only in terms of sheer power. Because honestly, I think his goals and personality are better in the movies, where he believes the only way to save people of the universe is through wiping out half of them, in contrast to where in the comics he had done that JUST to impress a girl and then went mad with power. But admittedly I don't know everything about the comics. 10:51 "And so the Omega Effect transformed Uxas into the physical manifestation of Tyranny" Yeah, actually, while that's what several authors had stated, it seems wrong. The best indicator of that came up when once in the comics Darkseid had met with Spirit of Chaos and Spirit of Order. Chaos greeted him as an old allay, while Order called him its mortal enemy. Tyranny typically is about establishing ultimate order. So no, it seems that it would be closer to call Darkseid the manifestation of Evil. I recently watched an analysis video about Darkseid that goes into great detail about what he actually is as well as the nature of what evil is which explains it WAY better than I ever could (as I said, I don't know everything about comics, most of my knowledge about DC - and Marvel while we're at it - comics from various TV shows and movies; if you wanna talk about nature of evil in Tolkien's Middle-Earth, Warcraft, or to lesser extent Star Wars, I'm your man, but DC and Marvel not so much xD), here's a link if you ever wanna check it out: ua-cam.com/video/fcJ8QmogoXY/v-deo.html
There are layers to the comic book Thanos too. If we just talk about the Infinity Gauntlet Thanos (bear in mind that this is story from 1991) he was resurrected by Death to wipe out half of all sentient life. The task was not Thanos' own idea but he still did it to try impress Death since he loved her, and so went far beyond Death's original design by creating the Infinity Gauntlet to become her equal thought in reality he became her greater. Now the question comes how can being that is truly omnipotent lose? The answer was that deep inside Thanos didn't believe he was worthy of the supreme power so he subconsciously sabotaged himself. Thanos is his own worst enemy which is why after coming terms with that he became a farmer in a distant world unknown to everybody else to live a quiet life. Obviously this isn't the end of the Mad Titan's story but it is where the Infinity Gauntlet ends it; somebody who is satisfied to till the soil in solitude while reflecting on everything that led to him to that life.
This is certainly one of the most destructive Death Battles so far. The only ones that I can remember compare in insanity are Chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshiro, Beerus vs Galaxia, & Broly vs Hulk.
When people think of this matchup it’s typically base Thanos vs Avatar Darkseid. Death battles rules forcing Thanos to fight an outerversal being make things a bit more one sided.
In the eyes of Thanos, his death at the end was probably one of the worse he could experience: dying like a mere mortal to the hands of Deadpool and losing Death. But as a Death Battle episode, the death was pretty lackluster. Enjoyed the fright, though.
That is the first death though. He got Omega Sanctioned so each death will be increasingly worse torture for him. ^ Seems like a pretty good place to start
About that Mr.Miracle character that was mentioned, because why not (sorry about the long comment): Mr.Miracle is the name of a couple different characters in DC, with their main commonalities being their suits, and them all being masters of Escapology. The first one, Thaddeus Brown, was simply a human who was an Escape Artist as a profession under the stage name Mr.Miracle. He was later killed by a criminal syndicate called Intergang. The second (and most well known), Scott Free (get it? Like scot free? 🥁), is a New God and Darkseid's adopted son. Context: At one point New Genesis and Apokolips came to a (short lived) cease fire political agreement where their rulers exchanged their new born sons, New Genesis' Ruler, Highfather, received Orion (the guy who litterally ripped out Darkseid's heart), while Darkseid recieved Scott, whom he promptly gave to Apokolips resident sadistic solider groomer: Granny Goodness. Scott would eventually fall in love with one of Granny's Elite Female Soliders (or Furies as they're called), Big Barda, escaped to Earth with her, was trained by the first Mr.Miracle, avenged his death after that happened, and took up his career and stage name, while also working as an ally to the Justice League to boot. The third, Shilo Norman (the guy who got trapped in the Omega Sanction), was an adopted son of Thaddeus, and aided Scott in avenging his death. Later he briefly stood in for Scott for a time, also later became a security chief of Slabside Penitentiary, or just 'The Slab' (a prison specializing in super human containment), and later took up the mantle as Mr.Miracle on a more "permanent" basis (Scott was dead at the time iirc). During his time as Mr.M he kept doing increasingly dangerous stunts often bordering on suicidal more than anything, culminating in him attempting to escape from the grasp of an artificially generated "black hole"... Yeah... There's more confusing details that I don't care to get into tbh, but that black hole incident is what led him on the path that eventually got him put in the Omega Sanction. He got out eventually though.
The song during the fight for this battle is amazing..haha, the artist actually did a separate upload of it, might be worth featuring in a video at some point. Even if you're not interested in that I'd at least check out the video on your own time, it's pretty good. Like a rap battle basically.
Darkseid was holding back so much in this fight he has other abilities to op as darkseid already was a god and Thanos needed the gauntlet to become one
If you want to know more about Darkseid, I highly recommend a channel called The Imaginary Axis, who made two entire videos discussing Darkseid and the nature of the New Gods. Fascinating stuff.
"Why does Thanos need a Helicopter?" Because Thanos needed something to help him with his plan to obtain the Cosmic Cube back in 1979, but the plan failed because Spider-Man and Hellcat working together to stop him.
Darkseid was in th Snyder cut of justice League. He was done badly. Darkseid is the living embodiment of evil itself. Yeah, he's not someone you wanna mess with. The Justice League doesn't beat him, they just have to fight him forever. Cause he never ends.
To me, feels more like Thanos was a tutorial fight, not even a boss... with Darkseid being a superboss, which are typically stronger than the final boss.
19:53 The reason why "Thanos" is written on that Helicopter is because it's a reference to the Thanoscopter from Marvel comics, a helicopter owned by Thanos. Did you know that the Thanos' Helicopter blade sword in Avengers : Endgame (2019) was ALSO inspired by it (as per the Russo Brothers)?
This is one of Torrian Crawford's BEST fight animations, full stop. Also, fun fact: In the comics, the Avengers did JACK SHIT in the fight against Thanos. It took the combined might of all of Marvel's cosmic beings and dieties to just slow him down. So yeah, Movie Thanos is a massive wimp.
My favorite remark about Thanos' origin story comes from the Epic Rap Battle of him versus J. Robert Oppenheimer: You were born to Eternals But came out looking so scary That your own mother Tried to make you a *temporary*
@11:18 I know I'm a year late here, but... You sweet, sweet summer child. "he's going up against superman tho" ummmmmm........ Darkseid, literally speaking here, treats superman like he is his red headed stepchild. I'm not even being facetious here, he comes in at random intervals just to beat superman's face in, and superman even develops a bit of a psychological fixation on darkseid, in *MANY* of these stories where they meet subsequent times... He is absolutely wary and most distrusting of darkseid, more than any other entity in the DC canonical universe. Darkseid, is *very much* superman's personal abuser. This is an under acknowledged fact about their personal relationship with each other, but it's doubtlessly true. With those two, I find it doesn't truely matter who is actually stronger, as they have written superman to be psychologically dependant on the outcome of their battles in a way that can only be described as "abusive". In this sense, darkseid has already won in some regards against superman. Idc about fanboy opinions here, this is a reoccurring fact about their relationship, and the fact that they always write superman as completely tilted towards ensuring he "wins" against darkseid.... The truth of the matter just becomes apperant to any neutral observer, here.
This is such a good one. I just found your channel from getting your Ultron vs Sigma Death Battle being recommended to me by UA-cam. And I see you've been doing, like, _all_ of the Death Battles? Oh, and there's Overwatch animated short reactions in there? Oh yeah, I'll be sticking around. I'm into what you're doing here, man.
After learning all these factoids about him and seeing how fiercely he tried to fight Darkseid, I think the MCU version of Thanos is a total weakling compared to the original
@@TheKyrix82 This is why I gave up on the MCU, they've ruined so many great characters and stories already. I'm especially worried about what they'll do to Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, X-Men, Blade and Fantastic Four
@@sadlobster1 It's basically impossible to make the Fantastic Four good...because Reed Richards has absolutely ZERO moral compass without his wife and Ben. The man is a supervillain who does good deeds because his family stops him from doing MOST of the truly evil shit he would do if left alone. Remember, Tony wanted to clone Thor, Reed helped make it happen. And Secret Invasion was Reed's fault. The Skrulls made an EXACT clone of him, and all they had to do was SUGGEST that it MIGHT be possible for the Skrulls to be undetectable...and then the clone figured out HOW for them
@@TheKyrix82 I mean I dread what the MCU will do with the FF team in terms of their upcoming movie. Since they've screwed up Thanos, the Kree, the Skrulls AND Starlord's origins; I shudder to think what they'll do to Marvel's first family
You remember when they mentioned in Hulk VS Doomsday that Doomsday beat Darkseid? What happened is that Doomsday & Darkseid fought, Doomsday became stronger while they fought and he became so strong that Darkseid became scared of Doomsday and begged Superman to save him. Both Superman & Doomsday was in Darkseid,s home universe at the time. What happened afterwards was the Superman dragged Doomsday out of the universe. And the writer of that story confirmed that it was Darkside's true form. But luckily Doomsday was a lot stronger then he is normally.
Black bolt is pretty much if you gave Captain America a super soldier serum when he was already a super soldier. He can't speak without risk of destroying everything. And even very slight whispers cause destruction
hey Kyle, here's a fun fact about Darkseid. the creator of Darkseid, former Marvel creator Jack Kirby, created Darkseid after he had escaped nazi germany. and he based Darkseid of a certain dictator. a dictator called Adolf Hitler. in the comics, Darkseid is similar to Hitler when it came to doing speeches, his ruling over people, and thinking certain people were beneath him. in Darkseid's case, it's all of humanity. i may be corrected about the nazi germany part. i think he was a soldier fighting the nazi's or something, i don't know. but the part about Darkseid being based off of Hitler is true. :)
Kirby was an American soldier in WWII. He was a scout; his job was to go unarmed behind enemy lines, draw their encampments and fortifications, and then bring that back to the Allies. He once got captured by three Nazi soldiers. He killed them with a knife he stole from one of them, and made it home safe. Dude was a badass.
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 oof I think your comment hurts dc more than helps 1)joker isnt any near the comics. It's an origin origin story so that's sadly a con for dc as most people say it doesn't even feel like a super villain origin story. AMAZING MOVIE, but...it's not dc comics 2)Ya picked 3 live action movies, they have a lot more live action movies than that. The fact that you didn't reference the others shows just how DC's doesn't have much going for them in the live action category. 3)No batman? That's usually the superhero outside of marvel people know.... 4)I said focus, doesn't mean DC just produces horrible live action, but...let's face it, they miss more times than not(...like with every single superman movie) but their animated content is a lot better and they even have better video games hands down. Marvel just happened to find a niche in movies and got picked up by disney but DC kinda kills it everywhere else so . DC has the potential to make incredible movies...but they slack off when it comes to live action and it shows
If darkseid is an all powerful God then he should really go up against someone like the living tribunal or the one above all. But thanos was originally a rip off of darkseid and its very understandable why he doesn't win. Also I wish marvel remembered the infinity gems don't work outside the universe they are from thing for what if.
Technically Thanos was originally a rip off of metron but was later made a Darkseid rip off due to suggestions of editorial Also infinity stone working outside the their universe was due a loophole that ultron found in which he empower himself instead of relying on the stone separately source of energy
For this, Edward Boscow (Alastor's va) voices Darkseid. This is now the second time he shows up to voice someone (earlier in this season he played Spyro in Crash vs Spyro) to my knowledge he's yet to show up a third time.
From the Vs. Forum I'm part of, this MU goes somewhat like this: - Darkseid Vs. Thanos (no gauntlet): Darkseid claps - Darkseid Vs. Thanos (with the gauntlet): Thanos wins
"is darkseid in any dc movies?" Yes..............and no. Officially no. He does appear in the Snyder cut of Justice League but dc doesnt want to be canon....

They definitely downplayed Thanos for not being universal as well. Darkseid was also lowballed. He's not infinite speed but immeasurable speed. Meaning he's so fast that he moves beyond linear time (This isn't his fastest either). Also the bullet that Batman used was not radeon but a archetypal bullet or platonic concept bullet. And it was used on a weakened avatar. Darkseid's power isn't really stopping a finite levels like universal or multiversal. His avatars alone are transcending the literal concepts of space and time. In other words, he's *Outerversal* or beyond the concept of dimensions. Thanos has far better feats without the Infinity Gauntlet than with it. But I guess they weren't using King Thanos. But the Gauntlet and Anti-Life become far inferior to his own might
From my best guess, the only way, from what I can presume, is that Thanos would have to find some way to upgrade the Infinity Gauntlet to where it can overpower Black Winter, as it is stated that he destroyed the DC Universe (well, based on a reference, so you'd have to accept that as canon first, which is tricky...), then use that to achieve the capability of achieving a dimension higher than the Realms of the Gods in DC. Maybe he could theoretically build a new Sphere akin to him specifically or make it where Eternals could be placed above the Realm of the New Gods, but that's a whole can of worms, as that would also mean that the Celestials, the Living Tribunal, Eternity, The Beyonder, and so on would become just broken.....OR make the Celestial Realm the same plane of existence as the Sphere that holds the Realm of the Gods and place himself above that to be roughly equal with Darkseid. I think that's how it would go down. I might be wrong tho.
A fact about Lady Death and Thanos' relationship: Most versions of their story started when Thanos was basically in his late teens as a student, and Death came along and manipulated him into the warmonger he is today. It wasn't just a case of Thanos being a simp anymore than it is of Lady Death literally being a groomer
darkseid's not so much 'beaten' as 'thwarted' most times. he's beaten morally, or by making him decide it's not worth it, or pushing back his forces. he can be beaten, but the ket thing to remember is he's a living idea. fighting him when he shows his face is an ongoing battle against tyranny itself, rather than a specific tyrant. most of the time he's too caught up in new god politics or can't risk ruining his own plans with a direct attack, thankfully. MOST of the time.
@@theduckgoesmooGood is...relative. I think it's serviceable but kind of boring, however I get why so many critics and action-loving MCU stans hated it😅.
@@gameuniverse5973 Darkseid found the antilife equation, but through circumstances I forgot, the equation ended in Cyborg's memory. From there it spread
I definitely agree with the result with Darksied winning, but the final kill was a bit weak, sure it's meant to be a humiliating death in the omega sanction, but he still died via Bullet, kinda lame
fun thanos fact, theres a lot of stories of him just fucking around. and some of it is silly like how he walked an old lady across the street, but he did it to make a buss late wich made a woman who was supose to one day become the greatest medical scientist ever, curing cancer and all other desieses. because her bus was late she never went down that path, and at the end of her now average life, thanos apeared by her bed and showed her what she could have been and done as an act of cruelty for his amusement another time he swore to ruin one mans life in particular every year on his birthday. every year thanos would fuck with him, starting at 1 year old. sometimes childish like scaring but as the years passed, he did worse things, and the man grew up terrified of his birthday. one day thanos missed it though because of the avengers, and the man thought he was safe. untill next year when thanos doubled down to "catch up" when he asked why, thanos just said "because i can"
It REALLY grinds my gears when they do characters that can TELEPORT Infinitely and go: This character is super quick because they traveled this distance in this amount of time. The character ALWAYS has teleportation as well. And with Darkseid it is just even dumber as he is always carrying around a teleportation device called the Father-box. So traveling to the ends of the universe by stepping through a portal isn't the same as flying or running that distance.
Did anyone else find this fight to be underwhelming? Thanos only used half of the Infinity Stones, the killing blow was so weak, the pacing was so slow and Darkseid just got pummelled for over half the fight without even trying. (I know that logically Darkseid would care very little about being hit, but it doesn’t make for interesting choreography). Just how I feel.
You are correct in that assumption in the dc fighting games he does the hand behind the back thing even though the movies accasionaly showed him actually punching and kicking aggressively especially towards the end of fights.
"How is that a thank you" Tbh I'd rather be dead than exist under Darkseid thumb, especially as a normal person instead of a powerful one that could be of use to him. Funny thing about that last shot with Darkseid: if you look closely you'll see him crush the Infinity Gauntlet.
Another fun fact: Darkseid once had that in the JLA/Avengers Crossover.
Yup. And he promptly gave it to the heroes, because it was worthless in his universe
TRIVIA TIME!! (There's a LOT)
1) The connections between Thanos and Darkseid are that they are two of the most physically powerful intergalactic warlords of rival comic book companies, are members of cosmic races (Eternals and New Gods, respectively), and seek objectives that will enable them to end life on a universal scale: the Infinity Gems for Thanos and the Anti-Life Equation for Darkseid.
15) This is the first episode where the combatants kill each other multiple times, with the next being Goku Black VS Reverse-Flash (Thanos destroys Darkseid's avatar multiple times, and Darkseid traps Thanos in the Omega Sanction)
16) The popular rap artist JT Music (also featured on Rooster Teeth) released a rap battle between the two the same day to coincide with the fight.

Darkseid called the Infinity stones as "useless rocks" in it. Just wrap your head around that one for a sec.
16:13 Darkseid's true size is so big, Darkseid himself is the size of our own universe (for reference). His "tubes" shrink down his avatars/clones to fit in.
If he came in with his true size, his sheer size and mass would basically suck in our entire universe to him like how if a giant planet suddenly appeared next to Earth, our planet, moon and most likely other planets would almost instantly be sucked into its gravitational radius
Just like how if debris in space above gets close enough to Earth's atmosphere, it starts to get pulled towards Earth and burns up as it goes through the atmosphere.
So essentially, we're nothing but a piece of debris burning up and colliding with everything else as Darkseid's gravity would pull us all to him.
22:14 Also, their punch was so powerful, it esssntially reset the universe as it "popped" back into existence. They created a new big bang.

I don’t think there’s any way to disagree on this outcome of this Death Battle.
Thanos’s biggest weakness: Being cucked by Deadpool

Yup. Darkseid is.
And you ended the universe... good job

Dude just went "hey I have a great plan to win this chick's love.
I'm gonna do her job for her completely unsolicited"
I recently watched an analysis video about Darkseid that goes into great detail about what he actually is as well as the nature of what evil is which explains it WAY better than I ever could (as I said, I don't know everything about comics, most of my knowledge about DC - and Marvel while we're at it - comics from various TV shows and movies; if you wanna talk about nature of evil in Tolkien's Middle-Earth, Warcraft, or to lesser extent Star Wars, I'm your man, but DC and Marvel not so much xD), here's a link if you ever wanna check it out: ua-cam.com/video/fcJ8QmogoXY/v-deo.html
tyranny is chaos masquerading as order, but he's a god of SOMETHING wicked

About that Mr.Miracle character that was mentioned, because why not (sorry about the long comment):
Mr.Miracle is the name of a couple different characters in DC, with their main commonalities being their suits, and them all being masters of Escapology.

Oh my god they actually referenced the thanos copter 😂
Marvel fans: oh thanos has got this
Marvel fans seeing thanos starts with the infinity gauntlet with every gem: .........
The song during the fight for this battle is amazing..haha, the artist actually did a separate upload of it, might be worth featuring in a video at some point. Even if you're not interested in that I'd at least check out the video on your own time, it's pretty good. Like a rap battle basically.
Honestly Darkseid is far superior than Thanos and it wasn’t even close, plus that Deadpool with a Gun Bit was Hilarious.
19:01 everythings a jojo reference
yeah darkseid has a record of owning superman especially in the latest justice league dark movie.
You finally made It to Thanos vs Darkseid!!!!
Was it worth the wait??
HELL YES!!!!!
(Sorry I responded late)
"Why does Thanos need a Helicopter?" Because Thanos needed something to help him with his plan to obtain the Cosmic Cube back in 1979, but the plan failed because Spider-Man and Hellcat working together to stop him.
Darkseids true form is so powerful,he killed his own writer and can destroy universe by entering in
*Speed: exists*
*Kyle: SSSSSSPPPPPEEEEEDDDDD*
Thanos WAS. Darkseid IS.
Darkseid was in th Snyder cut of justice League.
He was done badly.
Darkseid is the living embodiment of evil itself. Yeah, he's not someone you wanna mess with.
The Justice League doesn't beat him, they just have to fight him forever. Cause he never ends.
I always thought a good comparison to these two would be Thanos is the First boss of the game, while Darkside is the End game boss.
To me, feels more like Thanos was a tutorial fight, not even a boss... with Darkseid being a superboss, which are typically stronger than the final boss.
I love this battle. Darkseid is on a whole other level!
Thanos is nothing in front of darkseid...
Actually, Torrian was barely involved in this
This was the combined force of Kristina Christofferson and David Fischer
@@Brobuscus101 Seriously?
My bad, then.
My favorite remark about Thanos' origin story comes from the Epic Rap Battle of him versus J. Robert Oppenheimer:
You were born to Eternals
But came out looking so scary
That your own mother
Tried to make you a *temporary*
Thanos is a mortal playing god
Darkseid is a god playing with mortals
Never ask Darkseid about himself, he might answer.
Fun fact: This fight was a tie breaker between Marvel and DC. And this fight put DC ahead.
Oh it was?
@@theduckgoesmoo yessir. It was the 15th Marvel vs DC and this put DC at 8 wins.
Which makes it hilarious in the context of the timelines when Darkseid adopts Superman
Ayyy thank you! I'm glad you like the videos! I try to keep things diverse so please as many people as I can

Well Darkside is just a part of existence at this point.
Isn't he Outerversal?
DC ALREADY HAS DARKSIDE IN THE ZACK SNYDER CUT OF JUSTICE LEAGUE
After learning all these factoids about him and seeing how fiercely he tried to fight Darkseid, I think the MCU version of Thanos is a total weakling compared to the original
The MCU watered down EVERYTHING. The gauntlet in the movies had only a fraction of the real gauntlets power...and anyone could use it in the comics
Good god.... that sounds like a curse
hey Kyle, here's a fun fact about Darkseid. the creator of Darkseid, former Marvel creator Jack Kirby, created Darkseid after he had escaped nazi germany. and he based Darkseid of a certain dictator. a dictator called Adolf Hitler. in the comics, Darkseid is similar to Hitler when it came to doing speeches, his ruling over people, and thinking certain people were beneath him. in Darkseid's case, it's all of humanity. i may be corrected about the nazi germany part. i think he was a soldier fighting the nazi's or something, i don't know. but the part about Darkseid being based off of Hitler is true. :)
Vs Thanos based on darkseid... he's a copy of a copy...

DC focuses on animated movies for their quality stuff
Joker, Aquaman and Wonder woman says differently
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 oof I think your comment hurts dc more than helps
1)joker isnt any near the comics.

Technically Thanos was originally a rip off of metron but was later made a Darkseid rip off due to suggestions of editorial
Also infinity stone working outside the their universe was due a loophole that ultron found in which he empower himself instead of relying on the stone separately source of energy
Stuff like the living tribunal and one above all are omnipotent. Even darkseid can't realistically compare.
@@idiosyncraticlawyer3400 technically it's impossible to prove omnitpotence, at least by the most common definitions, but they are close to it.
@@FieryMeltman Well, absolute omnipotence is impossible due to it being incoherent. They ARE close enough to defeat Darkseid.
Whats the living tribunal? It sounds like a newspaper
For this, Edward Boscow (Alastor's va) voices Darkseid. This is now the second time he shows up to voice someone (earlier in this season he played Spyro in Crash vs Spyro) to my knowledge he's yet to show up a third time.
From the Vs. Forum I'm part of, this MU goes somewhat like this:
- Darkseid Vs. Thanos (no gauntlet): Darkseid claps
- Darkseid Vs. Thanos (with the gauntlet):
Thanos wins
Yes this is easily the second best death battle they’ve made
If you want another idea of who Darkseid is, watch _Zack Snyder's Justice League._ (the 4 hour long director's cut of _Justice League)_
As a comic reader darkseid can easily brainwash thanos,or created another avatar and torture thanos
"is darkseid in any dc movies?"
Yes..............and no. Officially no. He does appear in the Snyder cut of Justice League but dc doesnt want to be canon....
Us fans say it's it's canon. That is all.
Easily the best fight of the season.
Also, fun fact, Thanos as a character was actually INSPIRED by Darkseid.
DC and marvel really like copying each other I've noticed
@@theduckgoesmoo Marvel copies DC far more, tho.
We’ll, you finally finished Season 5. Next up is Season 6, starting with Aquaman VS Namor. The correct order for all of Season 6’s Death Battles is as follows. Aquaman VS Namor, Mega Man Battle Royale, Black Widow VS Widowmaker, Captain Marvel VS Shazam, Wario VS King Dedede, Ben 10 VS Green Lantern, Weiss Schnee VS Mitsuru Kirijo, Johnny Cage VS Captain Falcon, Aang VS Edward Elric, Ghost Rider VS Lobo, Dragonzord VS Mechagodzilla, Sasuke VS Hiei, Ganondorf VS Dracula, Mob VS Tatsumaki, Deadpool VS The Mask, and All Might VS Might Guy.
Be sure to have played at least ONE Zellda game by the time you get to Ganondorf vs Dracula.
Just to let you know, starting with Aquaman vs Namor there won't be "FIGHT!" at the start of a battle anymore.
Waiting for that mega man battle, it’s a cool one

When the music ... or rap is on, it literally means The End
So I guess you can say the results, puts A smile on your face.
@2:29 Yes, yes there is a new Marvel movie called Eternals. This video came out (on UA-cam) at a great time😂.
I heard it wasn't good though
@@theduckgoesmooGood is...relative. I think it's serviceable but kind of boring, however I get why so many critics and action-loving MCU stans hated it😅.
If there's an end of the universe in DC, always place your bets on Darkseid being involved, especially if it's a zombie apocalypse
If it's a zombie apocalypse, wouldn't the Black Lanterns be a more likely culprit?

Darkseid found the antilife equation, but through circumstances I forgot, the equation ended in Cyborg's memory.
From there it spread
I definitely agree with the result with Darksied winning, but the final kill was a bit weak, sure it's meant to be a humiliating death in the omega sanction, but he still died via Bullet, kinda lame
fun thanos fact, theres a lot of stories of him just fucking around. and some of it is silly
like how he walked an old lady across the street, but he did it to make a buss late wich made a woman who was supose to one day become the greatest medical scientist ever, curing cancer and all other desieses. because her bus was late she never went down that path, and at the end of her now average life, thanos apeared by her bed and showed her what she could have been and done as an act of cruelty for his amusement
another time he swore to ruin one mans life in particular every year on his birthday.
every year thanos would fuck with him, starting at 1 year old. sometimes childish like scaring but as the years passed, he did worse things, and the man grew up terrified of his birthday. one day thanos missed it though because of the avengers, and the man thought he was safe.
untill next year when thanos doubled down to "catch up"
when he asked why, thanos just said "because i can"
It REALLY grinds my gears when they do characters that can TELEPORT Infinitely and go: This character is super quick because they traveled this distance in this amount of time. The character ALWAYS has teleportation as well.
And with Darkseid it is just even dumber as he is always carrying around a teleportation device called the Father-box. So traveling to the ends of the universe by stepping through a portal isn't the same as flying or running that distance.
The point is that in that story he DIDN'T actually use the mother box to teleport himself that distance.
Darkseid, like most DC characters feel like they started strong but has time went on just went far beyond that to obscurity
Somebody soundbite that: "Well, that would end the universe."
Congrats, you are now officially 3 seasons behind. With your current rate, you'll be completely caught up with Death Battle by the end of next year
Good god.... I have another year to go??
@@theduckgoesmoo Well, you are only doing 2 of these a week, there's over a 150 episodes and this is episode 103
Oh man another person who doesn't know Supermans strongest enemy 😂
"How is that a thank you"
Tbh I'd rather be dead than exist under Darkseid thumb, especially as a normal person instead of a powerful one that could be of use to him.
Also you should listen to his the skies will rain fire speech during the final justice league episode. Him and superman fucking hate each other and it's hilarious.
