In the DC Universe, the Justice League have never actually beaten Darkseid. Not really. They disrupt his plans so that he calls off his armies and has to make strategic retreats; but that's all they can do. Darkseid doesn't mind temporarily retreating either because it's not like he's going anywhere. He's an ancient, immortal god-- he can wait. Conquering Earth today or a thousand years from now after the heroes are all dead, it doesn't matter to him. Time is nothing to an entity such as Darkseid. He's gonna still be here regardless.
Also, you need to keep in mind that the Justice League's job isn't to defeat Darkseid in a fistfight. No, their job is to protect Earth. You don't always have to beat up Darkseid in order to do that. All you have to do is get him off the Earth.
Mostly though, you need to be aware of how Darkseid prefers to operate. He'd rather fight you with his brains than his muscles. He prefers to outmaneuver & manipulate you. He takes enjoyment in the arts of war-- the planning, the deceptions, the manipulations --not the mundane act of combat itself. He spent the first 10,000 years of his reign overpowering civilizations with might and barbarism, but grew bored after realizing no one would ever be able to stop him through sheer force alone now that he's mastered the Omega Effect. With Darkseid now, it's all about the long range chess game. This is how the Justice League have always thwarted Darkseid's ambitions, not by overpowering him.
The only beings in the universe who can actually match or defeat Darkseid in battle are his brother Highfather (the ruler of the New Gods' twin paradise planet New Genesis*), and his own son, Orion, who's prophecied to finally slay his father in divine battle someday. In other words, it takes a New God to defeat a New God.
*The entire New Gods saga is a Biblical allegory for the comic book medium. Apokolips represents Hell; New Genesis represents Heaven. Highfather is the symbolic stand-in for the Judeo-Christian Jehova (God); while Darkseid symbolizes the equivalent of Satan.
@John Stern I'd be willing to bet instead that Darkseid saw it coming and allowed Constantine an escape door-- if he could find it. After all, Constantine does nothing but sow deception everywhere he roams also, which would only further Darkseid's goals of a divided Justice League.

Also I believe superman can match darkseid as well because he has battled him many times already and he has fought orion as well and he has a numerous amount of impressive feats.

Superman analysed it and since he has photographic memory he create it and it allows you to make only one wish. And nobody knows what superman wished for even the monitors didn't. But superman said he wished for happy ending.
And superman shattered the essence of true darkseid by singing by vibrations. Because of miracle machine.
They stated in intro that Superman defeated Darkseid (not an avatar) killing him by singing using String Theory which is a weakness for Darkseid. Interesting I wonder how Mr. Mxzzlplzt (however you spell it) powers line up with Darkseids as Mr. basically is a walking infinity gauntlet.

Man.. I’ve been watching several reaction videos to this same fight.. and basically. It’s a two way street. There are those who know about the mighty Darkseid and know that he uses avatars and can basically destroy everything just by walking through the front door. And then there are the ones who overestimate the infinity gauntlet, their reactions change before the fight even starts. It’s hilarious really.. once they hear he rest in a different plane of existence, they say. “Welp thanos is dead”.

I'm not a Marvel Head or DC Head, I love comic characters in general.
I already knew Darkseid was stronger than Thanos and that he should win. My only argument was if they keep Thanos in the same universe to fight Darkseid, while using the Infinity Gauntlet, than he would win. The only thing I didn't know about Darkseid was that he has his own domain and the avatars he uses in other dimensions and universes. But hopefully you enjoyed this reaction and more content coming soon. #ALL2HIM

Darksied’s True form and his powers are multiversal. The Infinity Gauntlet isn’t a multiversal level item.
Basically anything the IG can do Darkseid himself can do better.
@@coketwentynine Darseid's real form or real self always rests in the 4th world universe(the only universe which can handle his presence) as, if darkseid's true self enters any other planes of existence(aka lets say the marvel multiverse) his presence itself will erase the multiverse from existence!!!......plus darkseid's own power was far greater than that of the infinity gauntlet's power and add to that darkseid's anti-life equation, it was always always an overkill/massacare and an unfair fight between darkseid and thanos, but it was heavily requested as many people thought that thanos could one shot darkseid or something along those lines(without even knowing darkseid's true powers).
Beating people into submission isn't Darkseid's style, he prefers to corrupt and manipulate more than anything and usually lots of people die whenever he shows up.He never loses to the Justice League in terms of raw strength either, the league just does whatever they can until the new gods get to earth who're the ones that keep him in check.
for your info, thanos (1963) is a rip off of darkseid (1961).

EtheriousKami Starlin wanted to copy the new god Metron, but the guys in marvel said to him: "if you want to do a rip off, do it with one of the good ones". So, then he copyed Darkseid to create Thanos, but he keeped the chair of Metron... NOW, after just a few issues of Thanos's debut, the personalitys and backstory of the characters became complitly different to each others... so while Thanos started as a rip-off, now is it's own character and more of a counterpart to Darkseid than anything else

What most people dont realize is Darkseid alone would mop the floor with all of celestials probably at the same time. Darkseid has defeated the Greek Pantheon twice and even fought Zeus while he himself was depowered.
Darkseid fought the Anti-monitor while the Anti-Monitor possessed the ALE to a stalemate and Anti-Monitor is a multiverse level being without the Anti-life equation. Technically Darkseid has beaten The Source/Presence/God when he was amped. This fight between Thanos and Darkseid is not close.

@@SeraphSeph Soulfire Darkseid. It was a bit iffy. Short version Darkseid figured out what the presence plan for souls were in the DC universe and decided to beat him to the punch and amped himself to be almost on par with the source.
Also true form darkseid beat the quintessence who were really powerful than celestials too

If he did, it wouldn't work on Thanos unless the gauntlet was taken off. When he brought Thanos to the Fourth World he could have used it on him then, but even if he did have it I don't think he would have used it. Thanos most likely angered him enough by that point that he wanted to end him.

One thing I have to disagree with ScrewAttack on - the Gauntlet would not allow Thanos to completely resist the Anti-Life Equation. It's possible that it might prevent it from *completely* turning Thanos into a slave to Darkseid, but it wouldn't leave him unscathed.
Also, I agree that it bothers me that Darkseid is constantly being beaten by people who SHOULD NOT be able to beat him. It's a bit silly.
Having said that, I think the general idea is that they're beating Darkseid's avatar, not True Darkseid. Also, Thanos needs the Gauntlet to be a genuine crossover-level threat. Without it, he's high-tier at best.
Best two out of three? The End Thanos with the Heart of the Universe vs. Soulfire Darkseid.
Darkseid still wins. That Thanos beat the Living Tribunal, a servant of Marvel's god, The One Above All. Soulfire Darkseid beat The Source, which is DC's version of god. Darkseid's simply too strong.
He didn't have the anti life equation in the fight. And Darkseid has never really been beaten EVER. He's only been delayed or his avatar damaged or His plans disrupted or the Earth protected by New Genesis.

The Deadpool scene at the end is pretty dark. Like somehow that is the scariest shit that happened. All that strength just disappears and he's completely helpless forever.

Ok I watched a debunking of the death battle they nerfed Thanos and darksied a lot, they said Thanos is around 11D without the stones or cosmic cube and also said darksied would destroy him higher durability actually has irrelevant speed he's stronger than him he has the omega beams which can disintegrate him as already stated amungst other things they nerfed Thanos's durability which is true saying he's at max star level durability wise which he has shown many times to be above universal durability wise but darksied can just destroy reality and stuff like that, he has also beat up to someone who almost killed the presence DC's equivalent to God

Darkseid is a New God which is a race. Other New Gods on New Genesis can scrap with him so there is parity. Superman can hang and killed Darkseid using String theory. Lex Luthor resurrected him which is why he is still running around lol.
I agree darkseid would win if he used his fourth demension powers but thanos would have to willingly go there. When have u seen thanos walk into a trap? Literally he folowed darkseid into the fourth demension. Look at the video. And also thanos is a has mastered the infinity gauntlet meaning he knows how to use all of the gems. He only used two of them in this scenario. Plus if superman could stop fourth demension darkseid just by singing than clearly he is not all powerful in that demension.
Darkseid could throw him in the portal. The reason why Thanos walked in the portal was because he he didn't know it would take him to another dimension. Darkseid could have easily opened the portal throw Thanos in and close it.
