Great Super Group Performance! RIP George and Billy. It makes me smile whenever I see George's son Dhani playing with the group. He moves around the stage just like his dad did.
Harri - You really should watch the entire "Concert For George" which was performed by George Harrison's best musician friends... exactly one year after he died. It is one of the best concerts you will ever see.
A guy called Marc Mann played the slide guitar lead here. He was in Oingo Boingo with Danny Elfman and played with Jeff Lynne. He helped finish George's last album with Jeff and Dhani after George had passed.
special performance, the whole concert, creme-de-la-creme of the musical world. Billy used to tour with Eric, so they were good friends, and you can see the interaction as friends on this song. The crowd was lit, by the magic moment.
Harri, well worth your time.... watch this entire Concert For George. It was filmed in Royal Albert Hall exactly one year to the day after George's death. Impossible to not have a tear or two watching the love of his fellow musicians singing his songs.
The talent on that stage is something I think only Eric Clapton can seem to put together. the amount of times he's put together a show with the best people is remarkable
Most people don't know that George Harrison gave this song to Billy Preston - and Billy recorded it and released it before George did. Billy's recording of the song was made in January of 1970... and released on September 11th, 1970 George Harrison's recording of the song was released on November 23rd, 1970..
I remember that reaction Hari. I'm not religious by nature, but this by George has always meant something to me. I was probably about 12 when this cameo out.
Your reaction to the George Harrison original was the best ever. Like meeting an old friend after many years. Nothing to be embarrassed about for sure lol.
Your reaction to the original of "My Sweet Lord" is the reason I became a patron on your channel. It was so genuine. I would encourage anybody reading this to go back and watch it. Moving forward, this performance is "epic". The legends on the same stage. Thank you Anne for bringing this one to Harri ....and all of us. I applaud you.👋👋👋
That’s such a great concert. I got to see the Concert for Bangladesh when I was a kid at the theater when it came out, and this song was in there too. I think I was 13 or 14, and won the tickets from the radio station. It was powerful too. They have always been a great influence on my life and I’m sure many others.
Hi Harri!! Love your channel. I want to recommend a couple (30) songs (3 albums🤭) by Crosby Stills Nash and Young. They have so many great songs that its difficult to recommend just one or two. You should just start from album number one and do all of them. Thats how good they are😅. If I had to pick one, it would be "The Cost of Freedom" and "Helplessly Hoping" and 😂😂I can't pick one. I just checked and you already did Helplessly Hoping.🥰Wooden Ships is great, too.
They came together and raised their voices in song. Remembering the man they had lost. In the music he loved was their love a healing, for in loss there is pain, in remembrance is healing and a recovery of joy.
"Concert for George"..Billy Preston was the 5th Beatle🎉🎉🎉 Harri, watch the whole Concert, from the Royal Albert Hall. This was 1 year after George passed. Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, evan the Pythons were there.
Anne - This whole concert is my favorite. Billy Preston is fabulous here, as he typically is. I have a submission this month that features him stealing the show as they say. Great submission choice.👏
To your point about Billy Preston. . .can you imagine if the Beatles were not so unstable by that time and the sound system technology was improving to the point where just imagine a live lineup of the Beatles with Billy Preston on keyboards? One of my great regrets in life we never got to see that. But this is indeed great consolation here. Hits me in the heart that with all the complexities between Paul and George over the years that Paul is here quitely in the background doing his part in this song!!! We are privileged indeed to see this!!!!
A great lineup and a great song. Billy Preston was often referred to as "the 5th Beatle." I especially like his work on Get Back. Dynamite keyboardist! Greg in TN 😀
Thank You Harri . . . love this song. Billy Preston played piano on the Beatle songs 'Dig a Pony', 'I've Got a Feeling', 'One After 909', 'The Long and Winding Road', 'Don't Let Me Down' and 'Get Back', and organ on 'Dig It' and 'Let It Be' When the Rolling Stones needed a keyboard player for their world tour, he was their man.
Billy released a cover of this song on his 1970 album (produced by Harrison) several months before it appeared on George's own historic triple-album. Preston and James Taylor were both early signees to the Beatles' Apple Records.
Your reaction when you first discovered this song was the one you loved as a child was amazing, it really hit me more than any other video I've seen. So glad to see you watching Billy Preston from the memorial too. It's worth checking out Preston's original release of the song with the Edwin Hawkins singers from 1970, it's all beautiful.
We’re are the song writers musicians of today. What an incredible lot of writers and musicians back thirty forty years ago which could write songs which are unmatched today.
This "Concert for George", the year after his pass beyond the mortal realm, held in 2002 is a celebration of their friend by many. I watch this concert, at least every year (and have the CD too)
George himself did this song in 1971's Concert for Bangla Desh, with Clapton and Preston in the band...charity concert you MUST see!!! George himself organized the concert, it was the first rock concert for charity, years later all others followed his example, USA for Africa, Farm Aid, Live Aid. George was the seed for all those...
The Beatles knew Billy had extreme talent, and after he sat in on the Let It Be and partially Abbey Road sessions, they released his album, and single "That's the Way God Planned It" and got him started on is solo career, even though he had played keys for stars like Ray Charles...
Also, Billy had a lot of influence on George when he wrote this song. You can definitely hear it in the song itself. Very excited to see this group of musicians doing this song!
Great song and all the performers in this version of the song. I used to wat the Princess Trust shows, and it was similar to this. I really those performances. I watch your reactions all the time. Good Job! 🎶🎤👩🦳🫶😀
Was an amazing line up, this concert for George. Here Dhani Harrison, Eric, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynn, Paul and backing vocals Sam Brown, Tessa Niles and much more.
Hari, thank you for reacting to this celebration of a Life. A year after George passed, everyone he friended , and loved, including Olivia, and Dahni, wife and son, were able to share their grief and love , thru music. ❤❤❤❤
I dare you to react to "Photograph" sung by Ringo at this same Concert for George. The song was written by George and Ringo and the words will rip you up!
Listen closely and remember. We are not likely to hear from such an august body of music pioneers. This was a sacrament honoring the spiritual Beatle. He influenced generations of humanity across this globe. Hearing Bill Preston's voice instantly carried me back to the summer of '73. "Will it go round in circles, Will it fly high like a bird up in the sky"
Seeing Dhani Harrison performing in this tribute to his
father made it extra special ~ the entire Concert for George DVD is amazing
Billy preston, the fifth Beatle, I love this so much❤❤❤
Yes Indeed
Billy Preston is the one person justified in covering this song. He does it with a lot of soul to perfection! Billy takes you to church!
Billy also co-authored the song.
Billy is in Heaven with George. Hope they are play music together.
Billy knocks this out of the park! This is my absolute favorite live of anything! ❤
Billy is probably the only musician that can sing the lead to this song that loses nothing from the original. Unbelievable how good this sounds!!!!!
He played and sang with all his heart. Always liked him. Gone too soon.
Great Super Group Performance! RIP George and Billy. It makes me smile whenever I see George's son Dhani playing with the group. He moves around the stage just like his dad did.
❤❤❤
And he looks just like him!!
So much like his day
Amazing concert, great reaction. I particularly loved the closing number, I'll see you in my dreams, by Joe Brown, from that show.
Concert for George. Wonderful tribute concert.
Harri - You really should watch the entire "Concert For George" which was performed by George Harrison's best musician friends... exactly one year after he died. It is one of the best concerts you will ever see.
The whole Concert is Amazing you should check out other performances from it.
R.I.P George & Billy
The kid in white who looks exactly like George is Dhani (da-knee) Harrison, George's son.
❤❤❤
Finally Anne. It couldn't get very much better than this combo of people all together. Thank you Anne and I know Harri will love it.
I was so happy when I saw it on the list!
A guy called Marc Mann played the slide guitar lead here. He was in Oingo Boingo with Danny Elfman and played with Jeff Lynne. He helped finish George's last album with Jeff and Dhani after George had passed.
Concert for George!! 2003. ❤
What’s not to love? Preston, Clapton, Ringo. And a great song 🎵 👍❤️
Don't forget about the late Gary Brooker from Procal Harem
@@caryriggs5719 And Jeff Lynn from ELO
Do yourself a favor and purchase the entire concert on video. Amazing
Beautiful tribute. One of my favorites from this concert is Paul singing "All Things Must Pass."
special performance, the whole concert, creme-de-la-creme of the musical world. Billy used to tour with Eric, so they were good friends, and you can see the interaction as friends on this song. The crowd was lit, by the magic moment.
Outstanding video. I haven't heard from Billy Preston In so long. And with all the other giants of the industry. Fantastic tribute.
Rest in peace dear Billy Preston !
This song never ever fails to bring me a feeling of joy and happiness.
My Sweet George ❤❤❤🎸🎸🎸
Tears of joy.
So glad this was unblocked! Moving in many ways.
Harri, well worth your time.... watch this entire Concert For George. It was filmed in Royal Albert Hall exactly one year to the day after George's death. Impossible to not have a tear or two watching the love of his fellow musicians singing his songs.
Yes Indeed❤
Yes it was an amazing concert I’ve had the pleasure of seeing it in the cinema, plus I also own it on disc so I’m able to watch it again and again ❤
You shouldn't feel embarrassed you had exactly the right reaction 😊
Your first reaction to George’s version is still my most cherished reaction. It was such a genuine, soul touching, reaction. ❤️🙏❤️
Wouldn't it be great to have another concert for George
The young guy playing guitar next to Eric Clapton is George Harrisson's son. His name is Dhani Harrison
soul crushing best version of this song ever ... i cry when I see and hear it
The talent on that stage is something I think only Eric Clapton can seem to put together. the amount of times he's put together a show with the best people is remarkable

A lot of people don't realize this. Just like Billy being the 5th beatle. I found all this out about 25/30 years ago. Amazing
Have no interest in religion but have always loved George’s music and this musical Mantra is as soothing as any meditation ☮️
I remember that reaction Hari. I'm not religious by nature, but this by George has always meant something to me. I was probably about 12 when this cameo out.

I appreciate it and Harri went the extra mile to get to react for me.
There are some that are worth it and this is one of them. 👍@@anneschreck5136

That concert was absolutely amazing.
The plus was to listen to My Sweet Lord sung by the 5th Beatle: Billy Preston
I love this song Billy sounds great, and of course Paul,Ringo, and Eric so beautiful a performance.
It’s George’s son playing rhythm guitar awesome tribute to my favorite Beatle!
My goodness, this was beautiful♥️Loved your reaction Harri♥️

This is wonderful. I have never seen this particular performance. I love it. Thanks Harri and Anne 🌺✌️
Watch the whole show, it's stunning. Have you ever seen the Concert for Bangla Desh?
Hi Mr. Harri, The young skinny guitar player carrying the Beatle hair cut is Mr. George Harrison's Son..
This is one of the best live performances I have ever seen or heard. Excellent!
You need to watch the whole concert. Nothing finer
.
They came together and raised their voices in song. Remembering the man they had lost. In the music he loved was their love a healing, for in loss there is pain, in remembrance is healing and a recovery of joy.

👍🥰🤗💖
Billy loved those 4 from Liverpool. It was only right he sang this one.
Wow I've seen this many many times! Love it!😍😍😍😍,,,,, and Dany Harrison too!

So glad I got to see this! Thank you Ann and Harri for making this happen!!!!
Those back up singers are incredible
George was good friends with Billy. I saw Ringo was one of the drummers also. Great video.
Billy released a cover of this song on his 1970 album (produced by Harrison) several months before it appeared on George's own historic triple-album. Preston and James Taylor were both early signees to the Beatles' Apple Records.
Thank you for going the extra mile to get this one released Harri. It's my go to video when I need a lift.
Your reaction when you first discovered this song was the one you loved as a child was amazing, it really hit me more than any other video I've seen. I could go my whole life only watching/listening to Memorial/Hall of Fame performances. Just *beautiful*!
I get chills when I hear the beginning of this song.
Thank you for sharing this. It was beautiful and wonderful. I appreciate you Harri.
This "Concert for George", the year after his pass beyond the mortal realm, held in 2002 is a celebration of their friend by many. I watch this concert, at least every year (and have the CD too)
Tears in my eyes…
I'm not crying, you're crying....
George was much loved! I saw the Concert For George when it was live, and I have it on CD too, it's incredible.
Yes that first reaction years ago, next door was a pain but here we all are today..thanks Harri ❤
This is from "The Concert for George" featuring most of George's band members from different eras and albums.
Stupendous!!!! Has to be one of the greatest gatherings of icons to share a stage.
I love that you love it Harri.
Love your emotion and insights:)
Incredible ty Harri✌️
Only that I think it was a post Beatles song - I remember first hearing it in the seventies
Great tribute! RIP
Isn't It A Pity from this same concert os also Great, with Billy Preston!
George himself did this song in 1971's Concert for Bangla Desh, with Clapton and Preston in the band...charity concert you MUST see!!! There are a handful of videos ive watched over and over and over. This is one of them.

What an incredible cover I have never heard this before.....Thank you 🥰
Also, Billy had a lot of influence on George when he wrote this song. You can definitely hear it in the song itself. Very excited to see this group of musicians doing this song!
Also Andy Fairweather-Low and Gary Brooker(Procol Harum)
George was much loved not just by his fans (I’m one) but by his peers too.
Emotional.
Great song and all the performers in this version of the song. I used to wat the Princess Trust shows, and it was similar to this. I really those performances. I watch your reactions all the time. Good Job! 🎶🎤👩🦳🫶😀
I met George in 1977. Some moments one remembers. Ringo and Barbara in 1990.
Was an amazing line up, this concert for George. Here Dhani Harrison, Eric, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynn, Paul and backing vocals Sam Brown, Tessa Niles and much more.
It's the whole extended Beatles family here Harri! This is a work of love, and it sure sounds it!!!

The concert’s audio was produced by Jeff Lynne.
Every one of those guys is a devout Christian. Eric, Billy, Jeff, Very cool.
Dhani Harrison is also playing here...
Dear Harri, this song is not from the Beatles. It was released in November 1970 on Harrison's triple album All Things Must Pass.
Listen closely and remember. We are not likely to hear from such an august body of music pioneers. This was a sacrament honoring the spiritual Beatle. He influenced generations of humanity across this globe.
