All right!!!! First review I’ve seen where the sound is compared. Every vid watched its mentioned the sound difference but no one that I’ve seen has actually shown the difference. Very informative and thank you.
Exactly what i've been thinking. For all the talks about EQ'd tapes sounding horrible, now i can safely say that it is a lot of bollocks. It's a different listening experience but in no way the disaster i've been reading about.
Jason - well done! Very helpful. I agree with your conclusions - 2024 reissue has more bass vis a vis the 1964 OG. I have all the US stereos and have recently sourced the majority of the UK mono versions (albeit different titles and track listings) and prefer UK. In the end we’re talking the Beatles here and they are great no matter the version.
Sounds like the original Mono has more treble and louder vocals and the reissue has the mixed balanced. Like in Promo singles on is the AM Hot Mix and the other side is the Stereo Mix. That's how I put it. Both sound good.
You can hear the differences easily. I prefer the modern version on my modern stereo, but I still have nostalgic feelings for that AM radio sounding OG as that's the one I grew up with.
Have to take your word on it. Unable to really make a decision via UA-cam s compressed stream.I hear some difference, but it’s like when people A/B fuzz pedals on these channels. (I am enjoying these vids, don’t get me wrooooong)
Toss up is a good verdict. Reissue has the more “modern” sound with the bass boost. OG sounds like you’d expect it to sound at that time/stage of their career. Dare I say Coke vs Pepsi?
Way too much bass in the remaster. Jeez, they try to get it sound more modern. Always the original! Thanks for these videos, always good to showcase why the original is (almost) always better.
They sound exactly the same with no nuance worth going to the mat for. I suppose if you really want a copy, the bleu vinyl is the one to receive. But eyes a rather spends my money elsewhere.....
I prefer the 2024 over the 1964 😊 Looking forward to getting mine.
This time the 2024 record sounds better. Dare I say it is cut "HOTTER" lol! Best shootout going.
Interesting comparison Jason thanks 😊
Incredible sound comparison, playhouse loves the blue 💙 vinyl mtb...hope you join the playhouse my friend!
Cool. They both sound great. Thanks for doing this. There is more bass in the new one!

Great video, Pretty much you said it all… and I agree with Chance.. coke:Pepsi lol…I want a mix of both in one 😆

Well sed Buddie

The OG to me sounds brighter and more detailed while the 2024 sounds like it's filtered with some noise reduction.

I completely agree! The OG has sheer vitality, exuberance, joy! The 2024 reissue has too much bass; it becomes distracting and weighs down the energy.
Nah, The OG sounds like it's coming from an AM radio. in 2024 with my system, The new version sounds better, sounds the way I want to hear it.
The only difference is the pops and tick of 1964 original,, it ruin the over all sound,😂😂
