Being not very good at woodworking, but love doing woodwork, I'm absolutely flabbergast of watching you improve your tools and create these ideas. Thank you for sharing and for being the inspiration that you are, at least to me. Merry Christmas!
This a fantastic design. I have built so many cross cut sleds and was recently given the Rockler miter sled. I like the adjustability of the Rockler sled and have been brain storming how to build a sled that integrates that adjustability into a one piece sled that fits both miterslots on the table saw. Never thought of an adjustable miter bar. Your ideas are original and well thought out. Great video!
I missed this when it came out but am very glad I did see it this morning. One of your best! It's going to be added to my inventory of tools this month. Thank you, John
It makes me sad to see the decline of views on these well thought-out, innovative, well-produced videos. You are much more talented than many of the high performers that come and go.
John, I really like the changes you have made to this. I appreciate your continued diligence in thinking up a project, making it and then improving it continually until it suits your standards. Great job!
I'm a Canuck (west coast) living in Ireland and have put together a nice woodworking shop and have purchased and will continue to purchase these pure geniusk plans for jigs that you do John, Love it all and follow you like a puppy, MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and thanks for doing what you do my good man.
8:10 goodness, that wood looks really beautiful! Great build, seems super sturdy and well thought out. Thanks to the wonderful camera and editing work, the video was a joy to watch. You can just tell a lot of work and effort went into it and it looks very professional! Thanks!
Wow! So many smart, practical, homemade, beautiful shop adaptations, that are simultaniously safe!! I am currently on a hyatus with my tablesaw because of a near amputation of my thumb!!
In every project you do a good observation will pick up many new build details weather one wants to make it or not. I enjoy watching you work. You and Izzy are the best wood engineers out there. Cheers, Lee
Yes another fantastic invention! The reversible guide bar seems like a really great idea too, making the sled an enormously flexible and adjustable tool.
John, your video editing is fantastically good! You communicate the actions so that they are understood effortlessly. The film-making skill may be invisible (as it should be) if one is watching the build, but it's fun and illuminating to watch with just the editing and pacing in mind. It's great!
It's a lot of perfection, a lot of perfection, congratulations for your intelligence, God bless you brother, I can't stop watching your videos. I'm Brazilian. Congratulations again.
That's one of my favorite uses for a step bit, I love step bits, I always tell people that should use them not a pilot bit because if you hit wacky grain it'll be off.
je n'ai pas compris les paroles (j'ai déjà beaucoup de difficulté avec l'anglais écrit...même avec les traducteur de Google) mais en s'accrochant à la façon on comprends la démarche et là , Chapeau!
VERY impressive work, both in terms of skill, and in the science of the design. Parenthetically I've have never seen so many hand made jigs and fixtures in use at the same time in the same place. AND being Canadian, I believe you use Robertson screws throughout, although with my eyesight I could not be sure. [ I cannot understand the continued popularity of Phillips screws which in my experience will strip at the least suggestion of rough handling. ]
In this video you have a dust collection top on the green trash can. Is there a video on making this one? If not, please tell me the type of material used for the air filtration on the top.
Something I'd like to point out .... you've been regularly uploading videos so that for me they're always there now on a Sunday morning and this shit's become a sort of 'ritual' now for me so your _obliged_ now John, obliged to keep this up :) Seriously though, it's gotten to the stage now where if I don't have an I Build it video to go along with my Sunday morning tea I'm going to be pissed off about it. I love it.
I liked the triangular vernier on the table saw. My twenty year old plastic is getting hard to read through. this gizmo won't clog up with sawdust and hide the measure marking below. wow such a little thing can change the world. C
Great video John - another great jig for the table saw! I really like that this video is entertaining with enough detail to keep it interesting. But, if you want enough detail to build one, you provide it; and you can work at your own pace. There's also access to video for those that want it.The full package. Brilliant!

I like how many of your tools are handmade. Looks like a kids shop but in reality it takes a lot of engineering smarts to make the stuff.
I missed this when it came out but am very glad I did see it this morning. One of your best! It's going to be added to my inventory of tools this month. Thank you, John

12:00 So NOW I know why I need to get a step drill. To pilot out a small hole for a larger bit. I seriously had never thought of that.

Wow, that is cool. I like the little upgrades you made from the original prototype, which was amazing enough in itself.
