Petco - Good news
So, this isn’t related to the video, but I thought I would share. I went into Petco today and noticed they have a New Guinea Pig cage. It’s basically just a copycat of the Midwest Guinea Pig Habitat. It’s called Kaytee Open Pet Living. The lady in the store said that they just received it today in there truck shipment and that it may take a week or two to be in all Petcos. I thought that it was really wonderful to see Petco finally have a good size cage in store. If you go onto Petcos website you can see it. They had a 8 SQ FT and 12 SQ FT one in store.
The guinea girls were both so pretty!! Weedwacker is so so funny. Love how noisy he is. This video was just what I needed after a crappy day!

Weedwhacker really loves you! I think he misses you when you aren’t there! It is so rude for someone not to cancel their appointment before you drive 3 hours one way.

I just recently paired a female with my girl guinea who's mama past away. The first couple days they were just hitting each other with their purses, lol, but they sleep in the same hut now and are best friends.

The girl bonding videos are very helpful around Christmas I’m hoping to introduce a fourth a girl into my herd I really hope that goes well 😂 by then I’ll be an expert on guinea pig introductions! 😂
Also I wanted to let you know that I saw a documentary where they did a test to see what would happen if a pregnant guinea pig was put under stress and when the babies were born ( they were all female) right from the start they were immediately rumble strutting around the cage so apparently a pregnant female guinea pigs are put under levels of stress than their female babies tend to come out more dominant (even though I think it’s a little bit mean to put guinea pigs under stress especially when they’re pregnant for a study still kind of interesting) ❤️

My girl Nova is the more dominant of my two girls between her and Virgil and My girl Virgil Anxiety Wheekers is still very shy and anxious when I reach in their cage to pet them, but Nova Estelle Wheekers will sometimes let me pet when I reach in their cage to pet her and she will even lay down sometimes or let me pet her when she is eating. Virgil Will only let me pet her when I’m holding her or when she is on my lap on a piddle pad. She will even pancake and kick out her feet.

Had 2 girls added 2 no problem had 1buck my cage expanded added another two noproblems 1 died😢 female problems aded another 2 so now 7 girls one neutered male all are fine

Hey Scotty, I’ve got 4 female pigs 2 bonded young ones around 7 months old and 2 older adults that get along but are rather rambunctious for females. Should I introduce one at a time or setup at space for all 4 to get to know each other? I really appreciate you’re videos btw thank you for them!
So I ended up just putting them together but In a cleaned and setup different cage and after maybe a week they all got along very well. Now they don’t even fight I even saw my oldest grooming the little ones!

Good day! I have a question. I recently rescued 2 girl guinea pigs (adults), they are bonded, but one of them constantly runs after the other one, tries to fight and even bites her. This behaviour changes, but most of the time she is very annoying and the second one screams and runs away, hides in any place she can. I think previous owners didn't introduce them to each other and that's why now it is happening. What can I Do? I'm looking for advice! And thinking about getting one more Cage 😢

Man, are girls this easy most of the time? My girls were all difficult haha.....my oldest actually drew blood during a failed bonding attempt. We have only successfully bonded babies under 4 weeks with her.

Un neutered ? You will have a prolific amount of babies. There are homeless Guinea Pigs in every shelter. I am a volunteer at a rescue, we dont condone breeding. Guinea Pigs will get pregnant in 5 minutes. 4 babies every 60-70 days on average.
