- Amber and TJ brought their girl guinea pig Zoey into the Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue on adoption day for a bonding session with me. They drove two hours to find their guinea pig Zoey a friend. That looks like a perfect match! They are doing the snuggle nuzzle. When one puts its head under the others. And they are doing it to each other. They are so happy they don't know what to do first!
My daughter and I watch every video! She's 10, Her name is Sophia, give a shout out! We have 2 bonded male piggies. Batman and Robin... Although I keep calling Robin Sheldon, Seymour, Stanley.. 😋We adopted our American shorthaired Brothers. Best friends ever! No turning back and we are obsessed! 😝

I’m bonding literally right this second a single girl with my already established girls and the start of their introduction was scary as hell I thought they were going to kill eachother, but these videos showed me they infact weren’t fighting at all they were just doing what they needed to do and now 30 minutes later they are warming up to eachother in their cage and while there is a bit of running around and *umping they are doing fantastic, no blood or real angry fighting

This make me remember of my guinea pigs furball and fuzball them 2 was identical twins and them two or unseparable sadly fuzzball was sick and passed away a week after I picked him up so seeing this makes me remember my two lovely boys

Not in mine either. Right now I have 100% failure, but that’s with just one very obstinate lady (tried 2 different sows). She finally had success with a male. My rescue fixes all their pigs so I’m able to male/female pairs. I’ve even had problems with m/f pairs which should be the easiest of all. I’m a sucker for a piggy in need, so I probably get those whose just don’t play nice with others.

This is so heart warming to see how both girls seem to be so quickly become friends. They both must have great personalities. Maybe it also helped that Marlow seemed smaller and younger than Zoey and from the start showed that she isn’t challenging Zoey’s dominance.
I adore girl pigs! They are so cute and gentle)))) I have 8 females, each in its own way beautiful and with character. Wonderful animals! I am so glad that in America, too, many people love pigs))) I wish Scotty happiness and good luck!

I did have a guinea pig. Which had a same eye linear thing in her one eye.
Even girls take about a month sometimes. But when one goes into heat, the bonding happens.
A happy ending! Such sweet girls. Scotty what is your secret to guinea pig petting?! I interact with my girls so much but they still just run away or do the 'stop it' head bob when I try to just pet them. What is your secret?!

Lol wish my pigs were this chill. I have a 2 yr old and a 1 1/2 yr old bonded together and it was so easy to do it too! I just plopped together in the cage one day and happily ever after... but they both relentlessly attacked and bullied a 5 month old I have. They only liked her for about a week and then beat her up. I’m trying to warm the big pigs up to a new baby I got, only 5 weeks old. The older pig has no option of the baby and the middle pig nips. Wish all my pigs were like Chloe, super chill and cuddly

Hey Scott!! :) amazing video! I would like to have some advice about Guinea groups. I have two boy Guinea pigs in a 2x4 cnc cage ( with a 2x2 loft) and they are both around a year old ( maybe a year a 5 months ) but I want to get a baby boy with them. Do you think that would be good, or no? And about the little boy I want to get, I want to get one very young. Just want to know if it would work out. Keep up the great work! :)
Hey Scotty! I have 4 girl guinea pigs, I’ve tried bonding them all with each other, one at a time, into different pairs. Each one I tried they immediately teeth chattered, launched at each other, tussled, and biting. It’s so extreme that I had to stop the bonding process because I knew they would draw blood any moment. Should I re try again and actually wait till they draw blood? I’m just so terrified that they will be severely injured

We’ve just been given a female baby piggy and today I tried to introduce her into my trio of females. Everything was going smoothly, two of my girls were fine with her (including the most dominant pig), but one started chasing the baby pig and it looked like she was trying to bite her (lunging and nipping + teeth chattering). I had taken the baby out after two tries with both the new baby and my grumpy piggy. Should I continue trying or should I abandon trying.

Scotty i need a bit of advice,my two boys are brothers we have been trying to get them to bond,i have them out everyday for a hour in netural zone for the last month,so i decided its time to put them together cause everything work fine,so i clean their pens,fresh fleece and 2 of everything,put them in and all hell broke loose,the one tht was showing dominance is now terrified,am at my wits end,any advice please.

Hey my boys are even less likely to get along but they do. They might bug each other & fight over something just for sake (bc they have items for each) but they've never fought, fought. Sometimes I catch em huddled up in the same hidey house, tunnel, or both sprawled out, sleeping next to each other, eyes closed. Even when they do "fight", it's the cutest thing ever. Like trying to snatch some stuffed toy that looks like them out of each other's mouths for ex. They're zoomies & popcorns are contagious towards each apparently too, at times. But at the end of the day, they still have some respect towards each other's space. They should, I made them a huge cage. They're not even brothers or the same breed. Which just makes it even more special. Odds & chances against my pairing, yet they still play & socialize w/ each other 😍🤗.

This is so dreamlike to me. Can you please make a video about guinea pigs hard to bond? My Toti has been alone for 2 years and she doesn't like Lali. They're both females and there no place to take Toti and Lali and bond them with other piggies :/
I have them separated by the cage, they can see eachother but Toti gets so angry whenever Lali is near there. She also refuses to eat near Lali... Any advice guys?
You could try and place their enclosures further away from eich other. Some females are bad tempered when they have ovary cystes or pain.
Could try and bond them both with other Guinea Pigs like a younger female or a neutered male. And if it’s no succes that you are allowed to bring them back. We have a Care Farm close to us and if Guinea Pigs from them don’t get along with yours they help you. If you have such appointments than you are safe.
Pigs spray when they are mad or scared too. Like a defence. I've seen pigs pee in my rats face to defend itself from ratty attention. But only in the beginning of the relationship.
So cute, Scotty maybe you can help me, I got nilly last Nov an Coco last Jan ,I put them together in a spot on the floor. The cage was 5ft by 3ft two of everything,but nilly became so dominant an refused to let Coco eat so I had to separate but in the same room. Over time an having hours of play time together everyday I decided recently to see how they act in a cage this time the cage is 6ft by 4ft all their own stuff but when I went to check nilly was laying facing out the house an Coco was squished in the back of her nilly had moved the food to the house entrance as well. They weren't fighting but I felt I couldn't leave Coco like that so I separated them again. But now nilly seems sad, she doesn't want to be held an early comes out her house today Coco seems a little stand offish also idk what should I do ? I'm lost

Is ice Berg lettuce okay for them to eat I was told it was not good for them

Chloe (Marlow) and Zoey are so cute together. Female spraying as mention in the video often happens when a male wants to breed but the female doesn't. When the male tries to mount her, she will turn one side of her end up aiming at him and fire. Most common reasons are wrong time of the fertility cycle, she's tired after the first 5 times, she doesn't like that particular male, the room is too hot.

@scottiesanimals l feel the need to share this with you it is really weird! We have two bonded females who get along like a house 🏡 on 🔥 any way we got them as cage mates for little Waz and the bonding seemed to be going really well until one of the bonded girls went to say hello to Waz and the other girl took offence at this and had a small fisticuffs with her bonded friend! Waz just stood there looking like what's going on yet in a big box we had put all three into before hand 🖐️ they were all three lying down together. We left them alone for ages before putting them into their 🏡 and we thought we had cracked it so we are not going to give up we are going to run all three on the floor and see what that does. If you have any suggestions though l would 😍 to hear them thank you in advance Wincyxxxx ♥d the video

Why dont you guys bond fixed males with females??
I love these videos. BUT, that repetitive monotonous noise in the background is so annoying I have to turn the audio off. There are piggy sounds, humans talking, environmental sounds which are all fine. Why ruin a video with obnoxious noise?
