  • Hello everyone,
    Finally, I've made a video again on growing oyster mushrooms at home, clearing all your doubts, in easy steps. This time I'll be growing them using Sawdust and a mixture of soya plant and wheat straw.
    It's so easy to grow mushrooms at home. I'll say after watching this video, everybody can grow oyster mushrooms at home easily. I'm using materials that are easily available or accessible.
    Thanks for watching.

    Well done ma'am.👍
    You did a very good job in your explanation very easy to understand. Thank you.
    My questions.
    _ All the other videos I have watched says you add lime, or calcium carbonate but you didn't all any thing like that and it still grow, does that mean that adding lime is not necessary?
    _ Dose it also mean that allowing the sawdust to decompose is not necessary too.?
    In another one I watched, it was said that you cover the substrate with nylon for 21 days before bagging.
    _ Does it also mean you can plant immediately, once the substrate is dry enough?
    Can one use rice bran alone as substrate?
    Apology for my many questions.🙏

    • @Shangnairan
      @Shangnairan  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you so much 😊 They put lime and all to sterilized chemically but mine by boiling, so no need to put any lime and all. No decompose of the sawdust require just use after sterilized (boiled and moist).
      Rice husk won't work because you can only use any substrate that is easy to decompose. No problem you can ask any question 😊

    How can I make sure any other (poisonous) mushroom isn't growing alongside? They're really tricky to differentiate and I don't want to take any risks. Is maintaining a clean and aseptic environment and proper sanitization of hands before handling enough?

    • @Shangnairan
      @Shangnairan  2 роки тому +1

      Yes I understand.. the poisonous ones are the one that grows in the wild, they can be poisonous but the homegrown are safe and need not to scare because they have been carefully grown in the lab. If something wrong with the spawn then mushroom won't grow or if different types of mushroom comes out then don't eat

    when preparing mushroom to plant ,what do you plant ? do you get the actual mushroom then dry it up thereafter is it the one you break and sprinkle on prepared place for it to be planted ?

    • @Shangnairan
      @Shangnairan  2 роки тому +1

      Mushroom seeds are are called spawn and they are carefully prepared in the lab by the experts, using grains like wheat or rice. The one I've grown is oyster mushroom so the seed is called oyster mushroom spawn. We cannot plant the mushroom itself

    After incubator can we bring in light roome or still keep them in same place
    Please explain

      @Shangnairan  Рік тому

      Keep in a dark room without disturbing it for 15 days. After that you can start spraying water twice a day, at this time you can open the windows for 1 hr so that the room gets fresh air. Keep in the same place if you put curtains etc you can open them. Mushroom needs little light not much.
