I use a liquid humid/fulvic with my flush water, sometimes, as I was told it can release nutrient lockout conditions and make nutrients available to the plants that might otherwise just be flushed out. (I was told Epsom will do this, too, to a lesser degree due to the sulphur component.) It makes me think I am eliminating all the salts and creating a fresh environment for my plants to absorb nutrients from. Also, I like to add Neem meal in a small amount after watering or pot flushing. It is granular, so I just sprinkle a tiny amount with my fingers on the top of the substrate. Neem has a small amount of NPK in it, as well as other minerals and is antifungal/anti pest by nature. It gets watered in the next time I water, if I don’t water it in to start with, and keeps fungus gnats and spider mites … at bay with its earthy, heady scent. I like to think it helps flush away any fungus that wants to kill my plants as I am being careful not to overwater them. I prefer Neem meal to Physan 20 flushes to control fungus, although mycorrhizal fungi is probably slightly reduced during this process. A tiny pinch back to the pot is all it takes to replace it. I think of Neem as a bit of a constant companion in my growing spaces. There are no chemicals, therefore the plants do not build a tolerance. I keep the Neem oil and meal versions available at all times. Love these organic approach videos, Peter!! nice it is so good to hear how other people go about this , we to use neem all the time for fungal prevention . We don't use epsom salts often but I should still make a video on it . most of the neem we use is used as a foliar spray and only do big dousings if it is really neccissary .
