My orchid was doing fine until I did everything I wasn’t supposed to do. I’m trying to save them , but not sure I can. So sad !! My furnace went bad so the temperature is warm them cold. I repotted 2 I bought from the grocery store they were root bound in dirt. Dehydrated them. You name it I did it wrong. Lol. The 10 things that your orchid hates. I did it !! Wish me luck. Also how can you tell what kind of orchid you have if not marked ??
I tend to buy orchids from the "Clearance" (read: Everything's Almost Dead) section of big box stores for about $1-3. It's so rewarding to see them come back to full health again, even if it sometimes takes over a year. And bonus, you get to be surprised by the flower colors when they eventually bloom. I've never considered how water hardness could impact fertilizing, but now I'll be extra careful. Our water here is rock hard. Thank you for the very informative video!
I just bought my first orchid for 3 dollars!!! I hope I can be a good orchid "clearance" lady! But, Now I've spent about 2 plus hours on watching videos! I think I"m paying for it in my time...but I hope to one day see a flower. If not, I'll try again! :)
Love your videos! I’m addicted to buying those clearance orchids that are dying at the big box and department stores. I’ve had more die over the years then live, learning along the way. Your videos have been super helpful! I’m watching my latest ‘rescue’ orchids bounce back from 💀 more and more. Of my last 3, two are thriving and rapidly putting out new leaves & roots. Giving them a “bath” periodically to wash away detritus, excess nutrients and get the medium moist without overwatering has made a huge difference for me.
My orchid was doing fine... until I decided she might like to sit outside in the sun = sunburn, ouch! This video is amazing, thank you so much for helping me learn what (not) to do. I am grateful for your experience, wisdom, and presentation skills. Cheers!
My orchid was doing fine , but then... I put it in a storage building, thinking I'd come back the next day or two and get it, but I wound up in the hospital needing surgery and I wasn't able to get it until 4 weeks later! Now it has root rot, from being dehydrated and too hot. Wish me LUCK trying to make it healthy again. Thanks for your informative video.
My orchid was doing fine, but then, I brought it home from the store! I bought my first ever orchids, two of which had dried/dead blooms, on clearance, to save them. I`m watching and reading on care and I think I did pretty good. Now for some patience, I hope to get them to re-bloom!
I'm so glad I found this channel! I've loved orchids all my life but always have been too nervous to keep them because of their reputation as being fussy. I've got a lovely mini phal right now, but I'm already on the hunt for vendors who sell other not-too-difficult varieties, and I am planning to set up a mini-greenhouse and mount some orchids onto cork slabs. Thank you!
Miss Orchid Girl, You are the most informative person I have ever seen on a UA-cam. You are quick and to the point, and you answer questions that anybody could have. Thank you so much for your video. I have subscribed. I have gotten an orchid cutting that is from a plant over 100 years old and very rare. I am going to do whatever you say! I have learned so much today from you! Thank you, thank you, again.
"if you've ever in your life killed and orchid?" I've killed every orchid. I'm determined to keep one alive and that's what brought me to your channel.
MarielasSister . Me too girl. Some how I did not have to do much for my orchid back home in the Caribbean. Somehow here I seem to kill at least 1 every year for the past 15 years. I am determine to keep this one.
I first killed all my phalans till I got the hang of it lol Now I am focusing on cattleyas and I brought a discount one home that was healthy and in a week it is all yellow and brown!
If you tend to be an overwaterer, then try Oncidiums. They are much more forgiving and can handle more water. Other plants such as Vandas are more challenging... Dendrobiums and Cattleya will drown faster than you can blink if overwatered. Hope this helps...
My orchid was doing fine ....until I decided to bring it out one spring morning and the sudden wind knocked it off and cut-off the flowers. I was totally devastated but decided to keep the flowers in water right beside the mother plant and lo and behold it kept it's beauty for over a month! I've learned so much from your very informative video. Thanks a lot.
I used to use a paper towel to suck water out of crowns but it was pretty time consuming and a waste of paper. One day I noticed water had settled in some new growths and it turned out to be pretty difficult to get it all out with a paper towel, so I grabbed one of my brother's air blaster things he uses to blow dust off camera lenses and it worked perfectly. Thank you. We had so much rain this year. After I watched your video, I checked my orchids. One by one, I found out that their roots rot. I had to repot all of my orchids. Glad they’re not diead.
This video was super informative. It's crazy that your video was there upon my opening the UA-cam app. I have been wondering how to save the tiny Orchid that my daughter gave to me for Mother's Day. Now I know that all hope is not lost. Thank again 💖
My orchid was doing fine, but then.... I brought her into work and she realized the soul-crushing sadness of working a 9-5 job and dropped all of her blooms... 😝
My orchid was doing fine, but then we started our move from Colorado to Vermont in a blizzard 🥶 Thanks for the video! FYI, a year later, my orchid is starting to grow new leaves and roots. I’m happy I didn’t give up on her ❤️
I am new to your channel and new to orchid care. I’m entranced! Your content is beautifully precise, visually pleasing and extremely engaging. Thank you for sharing your Love, experience and wisdom. ❤️ My mini orchid was doing fine, but then my window blind trim fell atop the leaves, essentially in a “karate chop” motion. 😭🤦🏻♀️ Amazingly it did not appear to suffer much despite the scars it left. A year later it is doing great! Especially after implementing much of your advice. I kept the leaves on, they seem to function fine. The scars add character and a bond. It is actively growing within a week of changing light, temperature, humidity, cutting away dead roots and repotting. 🙏🏻🌱
Thank you for your very informative videos. Wish I would have had these years ago, could have saved a lot of plants. Could you do a video on how to mount and care for orchids for indoor displays. I’d love to grow them on the wall on a trunk or some sort of tree branch like they do in the wild.
My orchid was doing fine until it became mine and moved in with me 😂 She moved out of my Nans and came to lobe with me. It's been an intense getting to know you period for both of us. Too much sun, then a tad under, underwatered then over watered. I think we understand each other better now though, I would say our relationship is stable. She's picked herself a room she's comfortable in. She's losing old leaves but getting some new ones (fingers crossed that seem to be coming through at a good rate). New root growth coming through and some new bloom spikes too... Phew (although after watching this I know she could do with some dead roots sorting but going to try and get some new medium too so will do both at the same time. Don't give up if you think you've stuffed it. I thought I'd royally stuffed it 😂 Thank goodness for this video hopefully it will help with some speedier interventions for others.
Thank you, Dani! Your videos and advice are all I trust 100%! My 1st orchid was doing great! I had repotted it into fresh medium in a plastic container with holes and then put the plastic container back into the decorative ceramic container it came in. I think it helped hold in the humidity that way and now it's growing beautifully - new leaves and roots abound!! I did the same with my 2nd orchid, only realizing too late that I never punched holes in its plastic container. Most of the roots ended up being mushy and rotten. So, I turned to you. I transferred it into sphagnum moss. It's sitting on top of it, just you showed. I also put it in a plastic tub with another tub on top like a terrarium. I just know it's going to bounce back!
At the 3:25 point you show an orchid that's lost its entire crown, but my experience is that it's not dead at that point - not yet anyway. The roots on this orchid still look healthy, and I'm in the process right now of rescuing one that looked identical to this. It was a Phalaenopsis that had been my best blooming orchid, but it developed crown rot and despite my best efforts it died away completely above the roots. The roots, though, still looked healthy and so after snipping away the dead crown I just left the bare roots tied to a piece of cork bark in the same closed case with my other orchids. Several months later the roots were still looking fine, so I took them out and placed them in a container of water with a bit of fertilizer in it, fully submerged to begin with. After a week or two, I noticed that a tiny leaf had sprouted among the roots, so I lowered the level of the water below the leaf. Two weeks later and the leaf is still slowly growing. This is actually the second time I've been successful in resuscitating a completely dead crown with healthy-looking roots, so it might be worth trying if anyone finds themselves in a similar position. There's nothing to lose if you were going to toss the plant into the trash anyway.
My orchid was fine but then it met meeeeee!!! I am doing my best to learn as much as possible so that I can make growing orchids a hobby. Thank for all the great lessons!
Miss orchid I am learning so much from you, I have a phalaenopsis in bloom but the leaves kept falling off, after watching your video which I do daily, I pulled it from the hydro that it was in. It was crown rot. Well it has a keiki with one leaf. I am going to try and save the orchid following your instructions. I just love you girl friend 😉😉
My orchid was doing fine...I set it out on the north facing porch, shady, but bright, it developed some nice roots, a new flower spike...it really seemed to enjoy the soft, humid summer air, and then, the chipmunk living under the porch discovered that it loved orchids! It helped itself to a few healthy chomps and when I saw what had happened, I elevated it so it couldn’t reach it, but, it REALLY liked orchids, and managed to climb up and practically finish the poor thing off, leaving only a leafless crown...so sad...and I even rescue chipmunks out of my window well, and this is the thanks I get, but they only seem to appreciate the taste of orchids, not their beauty...
I was very intimidated by growing Orchids. Last year, not knowing this, my husband bought me one for Christmas and another one for our Anniversary. I went right to these videos and now, I have asked him to buy me an Orchid for any occasion! Thank you for giving me the confidence to learn about and grow Orchids. I like the Phalaenopsis the best. Again, thank you for all your help. I get a lot of joy from learning about these amazing plants. I live in northern Arizona, the high desert, so I've had to make some adjustments for the dryness and heat but they are doing well with your guidance.
I love naming plants too!! I bet if anyone ever spared the time statistics would find that named plants thrive more and live much longer even in less ideal environments....like mine. :)
Thank you. I'm learning a lot from your videos. I now have 4 orchids and doing better every time. I'm hoping that my newest one will thrive better then my last 3.
My orchids were doing fine until one day I noticed one of them going bad. It had root rot. Thanks to your videos I was able to stop that from happening again. And also saved that one.
I took a few of my worse looking (less healthy) orchids and attached them to trees. They are doing wonderful, with new roots and much fuller leaves. I guess some of them just don’t adapt to semi hidro at all. A good tree is the ultimate medium.
My orchids Never link inside since I put them outside on the tree their non Const that I really wanted to know it's safe fertilizer for them I'd appreciate it
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I am very impressed how well you explain how to take care of these complicated jewels of nature. I have been so frustrated trying to keep the orchids I have bought alive. You have such a wonderful ability to make it seem easy to take care of them. I will give them another try now I have found your informative helpful UA-cam videos. Thanks for sharing your wealth of information and wonderful videos ! ! !
Hi, I was wondering how ur orchid is doing after switching to water culture.? Any tips would be greatly appreciated... trying to revive my girlfriends Orchid..
One of One Atelier - Two weeks ago, I received a dehydrated, droopy orchid with no blooms and decided it was time to try water culture. The orchid is now much ‘perkier’ looking with firm leaves, lots of new roots, new aerial roots .... and a secondary flower spike! I can’t believe the dramatic improvement! It’s in a glass vase and during that 2-week period, I let it *dry out for one day. (*poured out all the water). Over a year ago, I was gifted a mini orchid. It was doing absolutely nothing so after about 9 months, I changed its bark, still nothing. Yesterday, I got fed up waiting for it to ‘do something’ whether it be new leaves or a flower spike so I removed it from its pot. Big shock ... it had suffered root rot (undetected by me) but, had also put out new healthy roots. So I cut off the dead roots and have also put it in water. I’ll be very interested to see if there’s any improvement!
My orchid was doing fine...until I sang to it ! it croaked :( Thank you for this excellent information ~ I am going to switch my tune :) ~ Cheerio from Canada !!
I'm a pro in saving my orchids because I tend to neglect them when my depression hits hard. So basically two times a year I need to tend to extremely dehydrated plants.
Sorry to read that, I hope you feel better trust me life is good even we have any kind of problems , at least you recognized that my daughter doesn’t and that makes everything more difficult, blessings
Me too.. I thought I was the only one. Right now I'm thinking I better repot 3 of my (saved ones that my friend got me for low price) soon. They've been here for months. I'm really tired. Thought I was the only one. Not.
Very informative for epiphytic (those that naturally live in trees) orchids. Double check if the orchid you have is epiphytic or terrestrial, as terrestrial orchids do require a bit different care :)
My orchids were doing fine until I got seven of them from my gramps who had passed not while ago and I specialize in succulents and cactuses so I have no clue how to take care of them. But after watching plenty of videos on how to take care of them I think I’m going to have to re pot them all since most of them have been overwatered and have a lot of rotting roots. So good luck to me on my journey! And honestly thank you so much for the video it was extremely informational!
Thank you so much for your teachings. I have been learning to keep orchids alive for 10 years now. I'm very good with tropicals, but orchids have been a challenge. I have several different issues that my orchids are dealing with NOW.
My orchids were doing well until... Hurricane Irma. I had taken all my orchids put them in a large tupperware container. Unfortunately and mistakenly, that container ended up in the back of my husband's SUV that he drove around for 2 days before I could get the plants out. almost all my orchids showed signs of distress but three of them were severely damaged with almost all leaves falling off within two days. Trying the excellent advice here to see if I can save them. Found this video extremely informative, gave it a like and I'm subscribing. Thank you so much for your work!
I am grateful to you for your blogs. After 3 years of flowering my friend came to visit and told me my plant had too much water. I had been away so left it in water. It is now reviving.
Dani, What do you suggest I can use for Synthetic moss? Thank you for your experimentation, your logical analysis and for your generosity of sharing all this.
Every year one of my kids would gifted me an orchid for mother's day but always died after two months. I'm so glad to find your videos so helpful. Hope the one I have right now will last for a year or so, so happy 👍
Amazing video. Truly appreciate the thorough explanation of issues AND possible solutions! I've learned so much from your videos and I have hope I can revive my poor orchid 😄🌺
I just recently repotted my orchid, and now I know that I might have chosen a suffocating medium! I'm gonna go home and repot her again and get some distilled water. ^_^ thank you!
Thank you so much for your videos - I love my orchids they all bloomed this year and they were lovely!!! Since I have been using Ionized water 7.0 acidity they have grown babies on my phalaenopis. I just potted them yesterday and see how they turn out one of the "roots" was over 12" long and it snapped accidentally when I potted it - see what happens!!
Your videos are so informative and encouraging :) like I don’t feel terrible about myself for killing orchids like I used to, I just know what to do now and making mistakes is okay. Try...fail...try again differently!
I have never killed a orchid yet fingers crossed! Thank to your really helpful videos and looking out for any signs on the leafs of the orchid and check the roots. Plus it help that I am a gardener by trade and I growing carnivorous plants and succulents.
I need you to come to my house and help me. Haha! I’ve been following your tips to help rehabilitate some orchids that I mistreated for too long. It has been about 6 months and we have made a ton of progress but still very far to go. Thank you for your help!
Thank you for this video. I had no idea what I'd done to my orchid, turns out it's sunburn 😫 oopsy. I've kept it in the same room just further away from the window as despite the leaves showing obvious sunburn it is growing a new leaf and a new spike 🍃😁 exciting!
Hi MissOrchidGirl. Thx for all your great videos. I had been neglecting my orchids and then finally began learning more about how to care for them. Irepotted my orchids a few months ago and was patiently waiting for new blooms. I got really excited when two of my orchids started showing new buds. However, before they bloom, the buds on both of them started to dry up and fall. The bottom orchid leaf of one of them is drying up. I’m so sad! Can you help? I can send pics if needed
Thank you , i was able to revive my almost dead orchid. I did all what you shared in your video and voila! after 5 months its alive and flowering now!!!
My orchid was doing fine but then she realized her new flowers were not blue anymore. She's devastated her identity shattered...all that she knew was a lie!
after watching this, I just checked the orchid that my mum threw at me a few months ago, I told her that I don't know how to care for it, and I just checked the roots now --even though it had sprouted new stems, it had *SEVERE* root rot :O But I don't have any soil or anything to replace it with, so I cut off all the dead roots and "rinsed" the healthy ones in lukewarm water, put some moist soil (from the pot it was in) in a plastic tray and placed the orchids gently on top of the soil and put it in a place with only indirect sunlight. Hope it'll recover. I guess I almost killed an orchid (or 2 since there apparently was 2 in the pot ) Poor things. Hope they'll be fine :O
Im feeling this pain currently. :( I bought 3 large cymbidiums that the supermarket had marked down to $8. Within a few days all the blooms fell off and the stem turned yellow....
My very first orchid was doing fine till I repotted it and trim the roots, because I thought it had too many, too long. It is not dead yet, but it is starting to recover. It got two new leafs, the first one was deformed, second is looking normal, had to cut the flower spike so it could work on roots & leaves this year. I’m learning.
long but its worth it, you could be a great speaker I may, not only to talked about orchids ;à in just 23:13mins I have learnt the most golden rule how ro care for an Orchids...I have started my orchids family a year ago? and you unspired me a lot.thank yu young lady. You must be conisdered to be an "orchid guru" namaste..
My husband got me an orchid for Valentine’s Day. I found it so beautiful that I found a new hobby. I reported it almost immediately and I shocked it. I bought a second one and same mistake. I put them in suspension over a mixture of water and orchid food. The first one is dying from the shock I’m pretty sure but the second one is growing new roots! I then bought two new baby orchids and all I did was to soak the pots in orchid food water. Hopefully these won’t die!
I REALLY HOPE I don't jinx myself but I haven't killed an orchid in 7 months ! WOW!Thank your for this video you explained everything SO WELL!!! YOUR ORCHIDS ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND PRETTY EVEN IF THEY ARE STRESSED OR SICK.
......... Then I took it out its pot, tied it to a tree branch, put on top of an open fishtank, lightly covered roots with sphagnum moss leaving little bits exposed, watered it occasionally with tank water & flushed occasionally with soft tap water, letting it grow horizontally facing away from an East facing window. Then my orchid, mmm, I dunno just started this 3 days ago. Moss just today. Hoping it grows to edge of tank then downwards & flower in front of tank glass. Wish my orchid good luck 🙂
I have watched other videos regarding orchids, but yours by far is the best!!! I have learned a lot, but I do have a question. I Live in AZ, the very hottest city, Lake Havasu. The temperatures in the summer are excessively hot. I do put the air conditioning on, but not below 80 degrees. To help my plant, should I put ice cubes around the base of the planter that sits above the ice? Also, I mist my plant with bottled water, on both sides of the leaves (not dripping wet). So far, it seems to like the misting. I have been doing this for several months. What type of nutrients should I be feeding, are egg shells crushed to powder be appropriate? Thanks for your videos.
My orchids were doing fine then I went on vacation for three weeks leaving the orchids to fend for themselves in 90+ temperatures.....I overwatered them hoping they would just dry out but they got too dehydrated. Two have zero leaves and 3 survived. All flowers are gone... so sad. Question: What is the best way to leave orchids for three weeks during the summer heat?
I love your channel and it has taught me so much and encouraged me to tend to the 2nd orchid (1st one passed) my husband has ever given me since we have been married. i''ve confiscated my BFFs orchid to revive it. It is planted in soil. I was hoping this video would give me more motivation to resuscitate it, but it seems planting in soil is not a way to kill orchid, but I do fear the roots are suffocating as they cannot really expand when watered. Do you have a video of how to revive or transplant orchids from soil to medium?
My orchid was doing fine but then I overcompensated with water because I had gone out of town for a few days. :( I really do have to ignore them for them to survive. They are a delicate but not needy plant. I used to overwater them but have learned that less is more with them. Thanks for the tips!
Best tip I know for watering is only water once a week, feed them once a month. If when you go to water the roots in the pot still look dark green and saturated, they really don't need water. So either just give them much less or try skipping a week if that happens.
Thank you for your reply I like your videos that you do on orchids. Your videos have teached me so from the first day. I always thought that the crown of an orchid was an opened wound. But there we go we all learn something every day. From isaak
Hi, yes my question is can you bring your orchids back to life when your cat's got a hold of them ☹️ the roots are still intact some green leaves still on the orchids but some are tore up ☹️ HELP! Please 😊💕
Hi. First off thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. Secondly, I have an orchid that I caused to be severely burned. I am using your videos to try restoring it and have a question regarding the hydrogen peroxide you use. Are you using straight hydrogen peroxide or a mixture of peroxide and water? I appreciate any additional help you could offer. Thanks
my orchid was doing fine, then...... my husband found her in a towed car (him being a tow truck driver)one of her leaves is turning yellow brown, her medium was over watered and was mossy, looked like a cat had too much fun with the other leaves. shredded. roots look ok for the most part. switching to phal medium of bark and what not. cross your fingers
my orchid was doing fine..... until i decided that she may liked some sun on the balcony. fast foward 2 days later, sun burns. i thought that sunligt was good for orchids but she definetly is hurting now. Thank you so much for this video! i will take better care of her now. :)

Some ppl rescue animals, others rescue orchids
I do the same thing. My local store loves to try to drown them
Just got one today!!
We bought 6 for 12 dollars and are experimenting with different fertilizers it’s fun to ply with rescues!
Hands down, you are the best orchid teacher on UA-cam.

I use q tips most of the time, but paper towel is my go to if I am out.
Just lay them on their side for a few hours. You can leave them like like that for days. It does them no harm at all.
Good idea 👌 thanks

My mini orchid was doing fine, but then my window blind trim fell atop the leaves, essentially in a “karate chop” motion. 🙏🏻🌱
My orchid was doing fine until... it was gifted to me! 😭 **frantically YouTubing orchid care videos to save it from the brink of death**
That’s way more than what others do...many don’t even care to research.
Your video gives me a bright information on how to care my orchids now
Oomaseoo SAME I hope she survives!
Me right now 😭
Thank you for your very informative videos.
That is great info, thanks for sharing! I thought they were gonners once the crown is dead
Welcome to the University of Ms Danny . Never thought of having tutorials after viewing a video. Rather creative. 😘😘😘
I watched your video and was enlightened! Going to the store right after work to buy all the proper care tools for my sweet Orchid Penelope
I love naming plants too!! I bet if anyone ever spared the time statistics would find that named plants thrive more and live much longer even in less ideal environments....like mine. :)
I named mine too. Lol
No ultimate medium trees around here. We've plenty of other varieties though! 🤪

My orchids Never link inside since I put them outside on the tree their non Const that I really wanted to know it's safe fertilizer for them I'd appreciate it
Sue Montemarano orchids are parasites, they will get nutrition from your tree. Don't worry much.
Orchids are not parasites. Look it up.
Thank you for this video! I just bought a sad orchid on clearance today and hope to make her healthy again. This video covered many questions I had.
Thank you for this brilliantly informative and snazzy video! You do a great job! I will start my orchid rescue mission first thing tomorrow morning.
This is such a good video. So well prepared and informative. Thank you!
your voice!!! i could listen to your videos all day. i just moved my orchid to water culture. im praying for it.
Me too,
Hi, I was wondering how ur orchid is doing after switching to water culture.?
Have tried listen to a positive video when your depression kicks in?
Sorry to read that, I hope you feel better trust me life is good even we have any kind of problems , at least you recognized that my daughter doesn’t and that makes everything more difficult, blessings
Elena Horton Depression is a ilness, you cant cure it with a „positive video“
@@elenahorton1375 are you one of these " this cute dog video cured my depression" people? If you are. You're not depressed. You're sad.
Lecture on planting/growing orchids is great.
Just what I need to take care of my plants.
How are your orchids going now? Did you manage to save any?
I am grateful to you for your blogs. After 3 years of flowering my friend came to visit and told me my plant had too much water. I had been away so left it in water.
It is now reviving.
Thanks for the tips on how to fix dying orchids. I would definitely always refer into your video once I encountered orchid problems
Thank you for the educational videos. It is also a pleasure to listen to you talking ..... You could also be a story teller! :)
+matheuzinho119 aw thank you, glad you enjoy my videos :D
My orchid was doing fine, and then I bought it, brought it home and then started taking care of it. I'm hoping your videos help.
My orchid was doing fine until my dog chewed up
I just recently repotted my orchid, and now I know that I might have chosen a suffocating medium!
This was incredibly insightful, I appreciate this - thank you
My Orchid was doing fine but I didn’t know how to care for them until I watched your video. Thank you from South Africa
My orchids were doing fine but then I was put in charge of caring for them.😅
I have never killed a orchid yet fingers crossed!
Thx for informing us about plants that release positive energies.
Knowledge is great.
Thank you for this video. I had no idea what I'd done to my orchid, turns out it's sunburn 😫 oopsy. I've kept it in the same room just further away from the window as despite the leaves showing obvious sunburn it is growing a new leaf and a new spike 🍃😁 exciting!
Charlotte Pavitt 👍🏼💕
but then "I put it outside and a slug found it." Thank you that was so informative and interesting! great delivery style!!!
I was gifted with an orchid recently, and now I want to give it back. These plants require way too much care for someone like me.
Thanks ms. Dani for a very informative videos ,watching from philippines. ...God bless.
Thank you so much 😊 my orchid was fine until I brought it home.🤣😂😂😅
Until I changed the medium and I think it went to orchid heaven. That was 1 week ago.
Danny, it's time for an outdoor video. Ex:going to nursery to buy orchid items or an orchid show or nursery. Show off that nice island you live on.

My orchid was doing fine and.........still is :D All three of them after 5 years.

I had mine for 10 years and it grew
How is that 😭💔😂
after watching this, I just checked the orchid that my mum threw at me a few months ago, I told her that I don't know how to care for it, and I just checked the roots now --even though it had sprouted new stems, it had *SEVERE* root rot :O But I don't have any soil or anything to replace it with, so I cut off all the dead roots and "rinsed" the healthy ones in lukewarm water, put some moist soil (from the pot it was in) in a plastic tray and placed the orchids gently on top of the soil and put it in a place with only indirect sunlight. Hope it'll recover. I guess I almost killed an orchid (or 2 since there apparently was 2 in the pot ) Poor things. Hope they'll be fine :O
My orchid was doing fine, but then I noticed it was flowering...over watered......flowers dropped. Excellent video xxx
My orchid was doing fine.....but then I took it home from the store and it died under my care.
Im feeling this pain currently. :( I bought 3 large cymbidiums that the supermarket had marked down to $8. Within a few days all the blooms fell off and the stem turned yellow....
I just got my orchid back from my mom. It lost one of its 3 leaves and ALL the roots are dead
I just got up and watered my bone-dry repotted orchid 😂
Thank you so much for sharing this video on Orchards ❤❤
long but its worth it, you could be a great speaker I may, not only to talked about orchids ;à in just 23:13mins I have learnt the most golden rule how ro care for an Orchids...I have started my orchids family a year ago? and you unspired me a lot.thank yu young lady.
My orchid was doing fine, but then it read this comment section.
Nico Collu 🤣🤣🤣
I REALLY HOPE I don't jinx myself but I haven't killed an orchid in 7 months ! WOW!Thank your for this video you explained everything SO WELL!!! YOUR ORCHIDS ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND PRETTY EVEN IF THEY ARE STRESSED OR SICK.
My orchid was doing fine, but then 90km winds all day blew my small cattleya seedling away never to be found
I really love your videos and your doves. Nice background music.
Hi, what is the best medium to plant my orchid in for repotting please? Thank you for a fab video.
I asked the same thing, still no help. Tuff crowd.
Look for orchid soil for your type of orchids. You need to identify your type of orchid, go from there. Feel free to reply.
This video so informative! I learned so much in one video. 🤘🏼
What kind of tree?
Don't.
My orchid was doing fine, but then... I put it outside to get some rain water and snails ate all the roots.
Thank you, that slipped my mind that I do have snails outside, you have just potentially saved the roots of two recovering bargain shelf phaels.
Kaori Keyser 86
I've thrown away soooo many orchids I could have saved.. im so glad I found these videos. Thanks!
My orchid was doing fine when all of a sudden my cat Sophocles decided to taste it!
From isaak
Thank you for your patient explaination.i learned a lot.
Hi, yes my question is can you bring your orchids back to life when your cat's got a hold of them ☹️ the roots are still intact some green leaves still on the orchids but some are tore up ☹️ HELP! Please 😊💕
I love watching your Video I am a beginner I learn a lot from you , thank you for sharing !
Thanks
Wonderful clear and helpful video. Thank you
my orchid was doing fine, then...... my husband found her in a towed car (him being a tow truck driver)one of her leaves is turning yellow brown, her medium was over watered and was mossy, looked like a cat had too much fun with the other leaves. shredded. roots look ok for the most part. switching to phal medium of bark and what not. cross your fingers
Connie Patrick j
How did your orchid end up in a towed car?
my orchid was doing fine..... until i decided that she may liked some sun on the balcony. fast foward 2 days later, sun burns. i thought that sunligt was good for orchids but she definetly is hurting now. Thank you so much for this video! i will take better care of her now. :)
