Yes it is a "rebranding" and expansion of ALDI's breaded chicken range ,along with a little controversy from "mimicking" branded goods for free publicity and scandal ,Southern fried chicken is excellent .
Not sure why these companies advise you to cook the chicken for 40 minutes! It results in overcooked chicken and coating as long as the internal temp of the chicken is 165 degrees, you're all good. Cook it for half that time and you'll get better results. Just my take on it.
The best Takeaway Chicken I ever eat was from my local chippy in the early 90s was Chick King the crust the spices the seasoning on the skin Chick King could never be beaten for flavour!

If you have this again, you need to open a can of cheap baked beans, wash off the sauce and add some to the BBQ beans, It may make th meal complete. Thought that the coated chicken looked nice, price wasn't bad seeing you pay £3+ for a Kilo of raw thighs. What shocked me most was the fries. You'd be better off using just normal skin on fries as you get way more for you money. IMO a tossed salad would compliment this meal much pre than BBQA beans.

No you are not the only one, it’s pants now compared to what it was, I stopped having KFC ages ago, same with MD’s. 😊

looks good
great vid gareth honesty best policy bud had it a agree on beans
Had the chicken bucket a few days ago and really enjoyed it.
I'd have stirred the rest of the seasoning into the bean soup, Gareth, to liven them up a bit and carry through the same flavours. 😁
Those chicken thighs are a great size Gareth pal, look like a caveman's club. LOL😂
KFC is so expensive these days you can get better elsewhere. They don't sell normal coke and the offers are rubbish. I bought roosters and loved it.
I've got a boneless chicken poppers tub downstairs and I was wondering where I got it from. Cheers I know now. I got it years ago 👍💚💛❤️
They are called AFC
