I’d love to see you start up stuff more like this. Maybe show us cold starts too from inside and show us how you start them - what you do with the gas pedal and all that. Love watching that
Thanks brother. This is currently all we start up is old trucks. This is the 3rd f350 we have done. Thanks for the kind words and feedback. Really appreciate the support
@@JMRRebuilders I know! But I’d love to see what you do with the gas pedal when starting them too. That’s the best part to watch during carbureted cold starts!
Back in the day when my dad was working for my landlord's tree service, they had a 68 F-350 which was an old U-haul truck that was converted into a Dump truck. The thing was an absolute unit of a truck. After a decade of service it was sold and replaced by a 72 F-700.
I got 74 F350 I just pulled out of the tree row. Abandoned for 22 years. And I’m going to try and drive to Arctic coast of Alaska in a couple weeks. Good luck on your project.
@JMRRebuilders yes sir!!! working on my first swap with my grandkids. It's slow going tho. Save , get a part, save , get a part lol. You know how it goes lol. Ls3/6l90E in a 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor. I may decide to go 5 speed with a TKX. Not sure yet. I'm not locked in yet.
It is an original uhaul truck. I'm not sure if it is a 330 or that the motor that's in it is original. Guess you have to do some research. Thanks for the comment and support and info.
I mean the original motor was probably a 330 ft and i had already said judging by the valve covers and the front of the motor and how the air cleaner looks it was either a 351-400
You need to change out that gas that will help big time the Jets in the carburetor might be clogged because of bad fuel but anyways good video and good job on the truck
Sometimes oil filters get tight like that because of the vibration of the engine it's happened to my vehicle and I know I didn't put it on that tight the next time I went to change it I had a hard time getting it off there too because it was so tight and I thought how could that be then I thought probably the vibration of the engine sometimes it loosens things sometimes it makes things tighter and it's also a good possible that if the vehicles has been sitting there for a long time then that could be a good reason why it's so tight and since you got gas coming out of your oil filter hole it's possible that gas washed off the lubricant on the seal and threads of the oil filter
If that fuel is bad you should probably drain it out of the tank if you can and replace it with a new gas because that's just going to bring all that crap back in there if you don't change the gas
Looks like your needle and seat/floats are stuck. Either smack the top of the fuel bowl with something non metallic-Sparks are bad when there is gas everywhere! New carb is probably full of snot from old fuel and forcing it directly into a Major Vacuum Port=Disaster. Surprised the engine hasn't Seized. Good Luck!
Yeah those are some good suggestions for sure. Agreed shocked for sure. Thanks for the luck. Gonna be sweet when we finish it and surprise someone with it. Stay tuned. Thanks for the comment and support
Yeah thats coming but it won't be the same obviously since it's just me and those videos simply font perform well. Thanks for the being an original and sticking with it. Thanks for comment and support
Thank you all so much for the support. Check out our other F350 video click here ua-cam.com/video/z8xxy5GxUmk/v-deo.html

If its from U Haul the original engine is a 330
It is an original uhaul truck. I'm not sure if it is a 330 or that the motor that's in it is original. Guess you have to do some research. Thanks for the comment and support and info.
@@JMRRebuilders it may actually be a ft 330 v8
@richardbates2367 it's a 400.

I myself used own a 1979 400 big block ford motor it came out of a 79 XLT bronco
You need to change out that gas that will help big time the Jets in the carburetor might be clogged because of bad fuel but anyways good video and good job on the truck
Thank you greatly appreciate that. Yeah gonna have to check out the jets for sure. Thanks for comment and support

Very valid and real feedback. Good point never thought of that. Thanks brother for the comment and support
One of those Ford/Holley 2 barrels lol
Motorcraft 2150 clone from China most likely
Needs some PB Blaster on those latches lol
yeah sounds like thats not a bad option
If that fuel is bad you should probably drain it out of the tank if you can and replace it with a new gas because that's just going to bring all that crap back in there if you don't change the gas
Yeah for sure great point.
