Excellent! God does not arbitrarily select some to go to hell. That is a wicked teaching contrary to The Scriptures and character and nature of God whose desire is that none would perish.
Amen Gregg , great teaching in this one , I've noticed a huge uptick in calvinism lately , a lot of it is due to those two knuckles basically infecting the minds of babes
Thank you Tom from the U.K. . I listen to your Sunday sermons all the time . I cannot find a church here that teaches the Gospel. I’ve tried around 7 churches and none of them teach correctly. I am very grateful for your ministry. God bless you and the saints in your church. X
Thank you for this clear, coherent teaching on this subject. The new pastor at my church is strongly Calvinistic and is moving our church in that direction-there are some who have left but I have been there for 44 years and am eighty six and a widow too old to be looking for another church. I like him as a person but struggle with his teachings. So thankful for the good pastors I am able to listen to on the Internet. Your church is one of the newer ones-thank you for speaking truth.
God bless you for this message! I have relatives who are members of a Calvinist church, and I have struggled with how to explain to them the correct meaning of these verses in Ephesians when they use them incorrectly to try to convince me to believe in Calvinism. You have given me a clear means of showing them in Scripture what they really mean. Thank you so much for your clear explanation. Thank you brother.
This is the second time I’ve watched this sermon. The false religion of Calvinism is so pervasive and impossible to escape any mention of - whether it’s on social media or print media. It’s there, and it’s evil. Thank you SO MUCH for teaching on this subject! I have been blessed tremendously both times I have watched this. God bless you, Pastor!
Calvinism is a cancer in the church today. Does God's foreknowledge mean He knows who will be saved and who won't? Yes. Does He predetermine who will be saved and who won't before the foundation of the world (double predestination) as Calvinism teaches? Absolutely not. God bless you mightily.
@johnhembree3287 I totally agree! I have searched for years, and nothing has come close to this clear teaching! I am so grateful to God for providing this message when I did yet another search! Now I have a clear explanation based in Scripture. Praise God!!
May God Bless this man's soul!! Thank you, Pastor for feeding the sheep the truth! Praise Jesus for raising you up in such a time as this. I believe wholeheartedly, that the neo-reformation is part in parcel of the great apostasy. I pray for my Calvinist friends.
Every Sunday morning my husband, my son and myself livestream your church. You have a lovely church, and you preach the truth. I love the choir and we all think they sing beautifully. Thank you and God Bless from Alberta, Canada.
Damnable indeed. I despise it. After being exposed to it for the first time in my life I truly doubted my salvation and almost made a terrible decision because of it. It’s a doctrine of demons IMO. It’s evil.
Thank you so much for this teaching. I just found out today that a Bible study I've been in for years has now fallen prey to the heresy of Calvinism. I'm going to call it out moving forward.
John 3:16 - For God so LOVED THE WORLD, (GRACE) that he gave his only begotten Son, (THE FREE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE and THE ETERNAL SONSHIP OF CHRIST) that whosoever believeth in him (UNLIMITED ATONEMENT) should not perish, (CANNOT GO TO HELL) but have everlasting life. (ETERNAL SECUTITY)
In verse 4, some even leave, "In Him," out... Being "in Christ," gives us everything that Christ has (except divinity). Being in Christ is absolutely the safest place for anyone to be! ♥️😁
1. Foreknowledge - God offers salvation to all, and already knows who will accept and who will reject this free gift. But He does not chose some to be saved and some to go to hell as if they have no choice in the matter. Everyone choses , and God already knows each person’s choice. God Is omniscient (all-knowing) 2. ____ - God has planned how He will bless (“determined certain benefits and blessings”) those who will chose Him (16:40). “He doesn’t make a person believe, but He knows who will believe” (16:45). Summary/wrap up at 43:30
God has blessed me by revealing your sermons on UA-cam.Pastor Tom! I will try to obtain a copy of 'The. All's of Salvation' You're sincerely, David from London,England.
Just found you and it’s good to hear how each word can make a differ difference. There are many interpretations out there and clarity is what is needed as I’ve recently discovered the concept of Calvinism.
Amen Brother. Colossians 3:3 We are dead and our life is hidden with Christ in God. Because the GIFT of God is eternal life. John 6:47. John 3:18 God can not lie. John 6:40. Fist John 2:2.
The Spirit says expressly that in the latter days some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils speaking lies in hypocrisy having their conscience seared as with an hot iron. Stiff-necked and uncircumcised in the heart - always resisting the Holy Ghost.
Just a quick question:so if it’s based on God’s foreknowledge of what we would do(rather than THOSE WHOM He foreknew),then why did he create the other 90% whom He foreknew were not going to believe in Him..and therefore be predestined to Hell before they were born?..really can’t skirt around the issue that easily.,although this sermon makes sense too
I agree with this teaching, I also think if we read verse 12, we can see that Paul is talking to the Gentiles about the Jews as well as when he says the us in verse 4, it has always been the Jews that were the chosen people for many reasons, one oracles of God came through them, two they were the only people that had the word of God and the prophets came through them as did the bloodline for Christ. I think if we see that Paul is telling the Gentiles it was the Jews that were the chosen and then in verse 12, he says they were the first who trusted in Christ, then he says in whom you the "Gentiles" also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also after that you "Gentiles" believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. I believe he is teaching the Gentiles it was the Jew first and then them, Chapters 2 and three bear this out in that they were strangers from the covenants of promise. This is not about the Jews, or the Gentiles being chosen before the foundation of the world on an individual basis for salvation. I also believe Romans 1:16 agrees with this in that it says salvation was to the Jew first, and also to the Gentiles. I believe that Calvinists are blind to the fact it was the Jewish people as a whole first and then us the Gentiles as a whole as it teaches us in Romans 11. Excellent sermon Pastor.
Prophecy is PREDESTINATION. God has FORETOLD us everything - coming of Christ, His betrayal by one close to Him, the pouring out of the Spirit upon all flesh, the New Covenant, Salvation for Gentiles, anf how it will all end. Nothing can stop God from what He TOLD us what He is going to do. Its been PREDETERMINED.
In this presentation the point is attempted to say that, God knew all that would come about , but did not choose. This argument fails on its face as God certainly knows, but HE surely made several sets of choices that continue to affect His creation.
I like your teaching and message. For clear understanding of topic you should listen to Andrew Farley sermon on Predestination and election Part 1and 2.
God didn't choose 8 people, only 8 people responded. Peter says that Noah was a preacher of righteousness but no one responded to his call and so God destroyed the ungodly. 2 Peter 2:5 - And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
When you see that "we" and "us" (vs3-12) are the Jews ("we who were the first to hope in Christ") and the Gentile Ephesians are "you" (v13) who are "included" (grafted?), it totally destroys the Calvinist doctrine and makes the "elect" make perfect sense!!
A so-called Calvinist, here. And how about Romans 9. Highlights: Romans 9:11-12 11 for [the children] being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth, 12 it was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

The word repentance means to change your mind. Biblical repentance is changing your mind about who you are believing in for salvation. You no longer believe you can work for your salvation and you put your faith in Jesus Christ that's he paid for all your sin. If the father pre-selected who would to go to heaven and hell, then Jesus was irrelevant and the cross is for naught. Calvinism is pure man-made arrogance
Love the truth about election but there is nothing that says once saved always saved. hebrews shows many truths that one who is faithful till the end will only be saved
In 1 John 5:13 it says that you can know you have eternal life. Two things to point out. It says that you can know. Secondly, something that is eternal (aka everlasting) can never be lost. This is why you can know you have it. It's a one time transaction. If you could lose it then it couldn't be called eternal life. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I sure would like it if a pastor like Pastor Cucuzza would read the testimony of Justin Peters who is a fairly popular preacher these days on You Tube. I feel like it is a treatise on what is wrong with Calvinism and could be refutes by a man like Pastor CUcuzza on a line by line basis. I think it is important to to so because this man is highly educated and is a fine speaker but his messaeg is one of exclusionfor most and misses the very point of the Gospel of grace by focusing on repentance instead of belief.
@danstone8783 Justin Peters has done some good videos exposing false teachers (which is how I first heard of him,) and yet he is a Calvinist. He doesn't come right out and say so, but it is evident in his lauding of John MacArthur, and other hints. This is deceptive and sad, because people watch his videos for truth and then believe, since he is exposing false teaching, that he is correct about Calvinism. This is the work of the enemy.
Overall solid teaching although I tend do disagree on a few minor points. Keep proclaiming the truth, Christianity is being seduced by this satanic doctrine!
1 Corinthians 1:26-31 NIV 26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But GOD CHOSE the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; GOD CHOSE the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 GOD CHOSE the lowly things of this world and the despised things-and the things that are not-to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of HIM that YOU are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God-that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.
The NIV is an alexandrian, CORRUPTED, bible per-version. Please use the KJV or textus receptus equivalent. New versions are corrupt and from the vatican. For anyone not familiar with the bible version issue: Research how the Nestle-Aland / UBS new testament text got made and how it's based on the Vaticanus and Sinaiticus manuscripts (the alexandrian manuscripts codex b and aleph) and how the text alters the meaning in many places, how the two manuscripts don't match the textus receptus (the text underlying the KJV which is based on different manuscripts: the Assyrian ones from Antioch) and how they even contradict each other. Then research in which bible versions the text is used. Hint: ESV, NIV, NASB...etc etc Btw. Here is proof it comes from the Vatican: “The text shared by these two editions was adopted internationally by Bible Societies, an following an agreement between the Vatican and the United Bible Societies it has served as the basis for new translations and for revisions made under their supervision. This marks a significant step with regard to interconfessional relationships.” (NA/UBS novum testamentum graece 27th edition p. 45). It's also interesting that jesuits like Carlo M Martini worked on the Nestle-Aland text, how Kurt and Barbara Aland met with the pope etc. To anyone responding without doing your homework: Proverbs 18:13 (KJV) He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
If you are attending a new church, and are unsure about their theology, don't ask the Pastor if they are Calvinist. Chances are they will deny it or just side-step the question entirely and say they are evangelical, biblical or Reformed instead. If you press them on Reformed, mainly they will say they stand by the absolute truth of the Gospel and the Bible and then talk about in faith alone, in Christ alone. Then they will talk about the history of the Reformed movement to oppose Roman Catholicism (as if to suggest that other churches aren't evangelical or biblical, which is true - many are not). Instead, if you are fobbed off like this, with no real answer that emphatically and overtly denies they are Calvinist, don't ask if they are Presbytarian or Baptist instead. Don't mention any denomination at all. Just as them if they heed to the Doctrines of Grace (or TULIP). Or ask them specific questions about it, if you want to be more subtle. Ask if they believe in Total Depravity. Ask them if they believe Jesus came to save all sinners in the world - be specific about this. Ask if they believe a simple declaration means you are born again. Ask if they believe that faith is God given. That is a good one. Sooner or later your questions will advertantly get them to admit they are Calvinist without even uttering the word. If you don't want to ask a pastor, do this instead. Watch some of their past online sermons too, if they have them published on the web. Sooner or later they will drop in names of famous Calvinists: like Sproul, Piper, MacArthur or Spurgeon. This will also provide a strong clue because non-Calvinist rarely quote from these figures. If they are a new Pastor to your church they will normally talk about introducing a five year plan to make changes to improve attendances. It is to covert what is free grace church to a Calvinist one, more than likely - and by stealth. Unfortunately, not all Calvinist Pastors have long bushy beards. Many do - another strong clue, if they have one. Although the bushy bearded ones tend to be Calvinist rather than not so, there are many clean shaven pastors who are Calvinist too. So don't assume clean shaven means non-Calvinist. Of course, a female Pastor will definitely not indicate Calvinism - as they are strictly in favour Male Headship in home and church. But also bear in mind that many non-Calvinist churches still don't have female Pastors.
Being forordained to hell is called double predestination. Almost no "calvinist" holds that position. Furthermore, Molanism establishes one of the better explanations for the problem of God's sovereignty and human free will. There are too many who dont really understand the doctrine of predestination. Pastors have a responsibility to educate parishioners with more than straw man arguments.
It doesn't matter what ones believes or "holds" a position to about "double predestination". If your belief is that God has pre-selected all those that will go to heaven the only logical conclusion you can come to is that by default he pre-selected everyone else to go to hell. If the individual person has no say in the matter then God made the decisions for both groups.
The verse says God chose “us” in Christ before the foundation of the world. It does not say: “God chose those who would believe”. You are adding to the text. Those who are chosen before the foundation of the world, believe because they were chosen. They were not chosen because they would believe. Election comes first, THEN comes the saving faith. That is the biblical order. You are just trying to skirt the issue. The election of God is very specific. It is not arbitrary or unknowable.
God chose those in Christ TO BE holy and blameless BEFORE the foundation of the world. This verse always has the choosing dropped out of it. You seem to be misunderstanding the “ordo salutis”. God gives this order of conversion in this text, Ephesians 1:13 - hear, believe, sealed. Context matters. I used a language other than English for bonus points too😉
Psalms 118:8 NKJV It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man. At the 27:18 mark, this man is doing exactly what he tells you not to do...You should read the bible without this man's or any man's word. Then discern the truth. Mark 1:15 KJV and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. (Notice the words repent and believe.) Two requirements. re·pent/rəˈpent/verb: feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin. It's not just the fact that you pray a prayer you must mean it. God knows when you mean it and when you don't. It is not up to man to decide for you!
Except that's not what the word repent means. The Greek word is metanoeo and means to change your mind. The idea is to change your mind about who or what is saving you. Your good works won't save you only trusting the payment Jesus Christ made will save you. See Pastor's booklet on the subject for more detail. faithconnector.s3.amazonaws.com/northlandchurch/downloads/repentance_booklet.pdf

Justin Peters has done some good videos exposing false teachers (which is how I first heard of him,) and yet he is a Calvinist.
Like what don’t agree with?
1 Corinthians 1:26-31 NIV
26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called.
Hint: ESV, NIV, NASB...etc etc
Btw. Here is proof it comes from the Vatican:
“The text shared by these two editions was adopted internationally by Bible Societies, an following an agreement between the Vatican and the United Bible Societies it has served as the basis for new translations and for revisions made under their supervision.
Calvin's overlays scripture with man's thinking it's false.
If man was not created a free moral agent, then he was not created in the image of God.

I used a language other than English for bonus points too😉
He is an expository preacher.thats what u want. Big differance. Bunch phonies on tv
Calvinism and context don’t go together.
Psalms 118:8 NKJV
It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.
