Ooops...The aluminium solvent traps ship with a 1/2 x 28 threaded end cap, and the hybrid solvent traps ship with a 13/16 x 16 threaded end cap. Sorry for the confusion.
One of the best tools in the world! I love how quietly I can clean my gun in my back yard without the unwanted attention from Karen!
where can we find it? AFT took down website
@@1god2fear21 There's literally dozens of websites to purchase these that are better than Hawk Innovative.
Hawk Innovative Tech has definitely taken this to a new level . I carry them in my store now .Just got new cal also .45 ,6.8mm and 458 socom .

The red O rings are temperature resistant fluoro carbon , green is silicon ( or can be visa versa), the black can be cheap NBR or more expensive Viton which are more suitable for oil and petrol etc . The better quality O ring makes it more versatile if using hot solvents . In the UK we use these as moderators or silencers for firearms and less technical ways of cleaning . I believe Hawk is a UK company which is why you get high temperature O rings . Moderators are encouraged in the UK , require no licence as we consider noise pollution is much worse than a gun with a big black tube stuck on the end .
Your a real genius!! You do realize that Hawk Inovations website has been seized by the FBI, ATF.
Best video I've ever seen on solvent traps! Thanks for explaining so well!
heres an even better one ua-cam.com/video/wEbnT7blq-g/v-deo.html
Silencer manufacturers"dooxi" sell these same things for nice price.
Very well made product I bought the B size and was amazed also I believe a Nielsen device can fit right in it
What brand device did you get I'm looking for one
@4:16 "A drain valve" HAHAHA!!! Love it!
2nd Amend: "SHALL NOT be infringed". Its NOT a negotiable point, its a living directive, RIGHT and LAW from our founding fathers. So "F" the ATF.
Very professional and informative video. Thanks for the clear explanation. I will be looking into their products. Thanks again and as always, stay excellent my friend.... EP
Always protect the enviroment
"Getting these gunked up is almost criminal" hahaha
Yup!
ATF. We need to make sure that your firearms are all clean....
Not just for solvent, works wonders for hot gases as well :)
Stfu snitch
Really? How’s that I have never seen hot gas come out while cleaning my barrel I don’t know what your cleaning bud but you should only stick to what this is designed for 😉
John Hedlund: and it really quiets down the sound made by my ammo. I guess that's just one of those unintended side-effects,, right?
4 rats
1979 Augustine and they are the reason why we can’t have nice things!
I would love to see someone actually cleaning their pistol with one of these. Maybe need some type of silicone attachment for those folks in the 8 states you cant have a threaded barrel. That way you can really get a good cleaning. Maybe need mini pressure washer 😂😂😮
THis is all well, but does it actually it work? Would have been nice to see a decible test. My expereince with these thigs are they just dont work well at all.
Any new about this HIT coming back anytime soon, I build my first tool and finally got my stamp back I would love to make another one here soon!!
Just got mine in. Looks and feels good. Little more slop in the tube than I hoped. It does tighten down good, no rattling. Configure a few different ways which is cool. But wish it was a little tighter.
Thanks hawk! I will let you guys know results after I pop off 100 rounds..
I mean on how much I can reclaim. :).
Review??
It will go great with an ”automatic hammer slacking device” not to be confused with an auto-sear....
Made at least 500 of these. Work great!
Aaron can you email me please gunyhighway at gmail dot com
Wasn't one of your caps sitting in the spacer backward?
Apparently the Hawk Innovative Tech website has been seized by the ATF due to a Federal investigation
Just seen that
Are they still in business?
Which way is the cup going to go for “most efficient performance “
dakota_418 did you ever figure out which way is best for cups to face?
Ok. Just tried mine out.
I started with the 15-22, it was very quiet. Buddy said it sounded like an air soft. Hear the crack of the bullet, but that was it. Very cool. But, you don't need one for a 22 imho.
On to the .223, . Tightened down tight, I got 30 rounds off, was impressed. It did, like the barrel, get very hot after 30 rounds. , and it started to come loose from the barrel, Id say the last few bullets, struck the last two baffles, do to coming loose. So, now mine rattles lol.
I think it's a lil too cheap, to continue to fire .223. It would hold up on my .22 for ever I feel. It don't even get hot.
The. 223, just had way too much heat, for the aluminium. Now, if I could have tightened it more, than it might work for 30 rounds, cool, 30 rounds etc. But Id make sure its tight after every 5 or 6 bullets.
In the end, yes, I was able to shoot without protection. That's what we want, as our neighbors lol.
But buy a real one, wait for the stamp. I did a trial, to see if I thought it was worth it.
Mine is now in the trash lol cause I'm not getting caught with it. It was a test.
For me, my neighbors are ok with me shooting, so it's only loud to me, I'm on 20 acres. There for, until they get rid of the run around and 200 dollars tax stamp, mime will shoot loudly.
I may buy a real one if they do away with the nonsense, should b just like buying a gun. Ok, so, will it work, yes.
Would I continue to fire, no. Only on a .22.
Now maybe I typed this drunk, under the influence, so you can't hold it against me lmao.
Should have just thrown the drilled cap away and bought a new cap.
@@svborek he was drunk, what do you expect...?
saw a 100,000 HAAS cnc lathe go for 1,200 at an auction, would have purchased it but it was 14,000 pounds and had a chipper converyour belt as an option (that went for 25$) ... could be making these as well.... hmm
I could do more practice shooting if I had something like this but because I don't my firearm sits take it out to clean
Would these work for paint? Sometimes paint get stuck in my marker
Not for use with paintball guns 😭😭
To get it all gunked up is almost criminal. 😂
Just living my life this niggas straight trolling on us bois
It's a crime to have one
@@apalachianparanormal only if converted for the other use without proper paperwork. Thats why its legal to have these they are sold as solvent traps
this feels like a trap lmao
So wait, you can just buy these before you have done a Form 1. Or do you still need to wait a year to get one?
You can buy an undrilled kit yes, or parts from various vendors, you have to have your form 1 to drill holes though....
Michael Ficarro ok great thanks!
I thought that Hawk Innovative Tech was seized by the ATF.
Titanium does not actually anodize like aluminum with a crystallized surface.
Hello ATF
I am from Canada, how can I purchase one for a 22 caliber?
Pat Dufresne from my understanding, the inserts have to be drilled by you! So buy one and drill it out yourself. Check out eBay, they have them too. I’m going to drill one for .22 myself
Pat Dufresne just don’t get caught using it, here in the U.S. it is very illegal 😳😵
@@kentrinfret2979 watch this video it explains it all ua-cam.com/video/wEbnT7blq-g/v-deo.html
Damn, my solvent trap sprung a leak at the end, all my fluid leaks out whenever I use it. Or my valve fell off when I got it, don't know what happened to it.
But lets be serious folks, we all know what this is, don't think this is going to save your A$$ if you get caught with it. Fill out the Form 1, wait until you get the stamp, and build it, is it really worth watching over your back hoping you do not get caught with this can? Is it worth going to prison for 10 years, having your rights to even own a gun taken away? FOR LIFE? The people allowed these stupid laws to be put in place that made is so hard and costly to build, buy, or own, best thing we can all do is not let the bastards pass anymore fucking laws that only the law abiding are going to follow. Only a matter of time before they pass another stupid law and these will be banned too just like bump stocks, which I am sure they all feel into a lake somewhere.
Odds of getting caught using them is not very high unless you go to a range or the game warden shows up and checks your license and you have it on your gun. Around your home or friends, odds are your good but there is still that chance.
No. Firstly, under the constitution of the United States we are being infringed upon with extreme prejudice and have been for a very long time. The ATF (BATFE) is an illegal entity and if you want to be a sheep instead of a sheepdog suit yourself.
Secondly, a game warden or any police officer at that matter can't look up your legal ownership online to see if your 'can' is licensed or not. You don't have to answer any questions whatsoever. I've literally fired unregistered FA suppressed weapons right in front of dozens of law enforcement officers and was questioned many times. I treat them with respect and tell them nicely that everything is legal and ask them if they want to shoot it. The only way you could get hosed is if the ATF thugs showed up with a search warrant.
Thirdly, some states "Such as AZ" passed HB 2111 which applies to firearms, firearm attachments and munitions which DOES NOT apply to federal anything under the states supreme court.
That said, the ATF has no access to the states data-base because it's not a federal matter.
Honey pause the video, I think atf just broken our front door.
Is an SD Tactical Booster compatible with the HIT 9MM D size Hybrid solvent trap?
Did you ever find out if it does?
Yes you can use a SD Tactical booster with this trap
@@ChrisFennelle do you know what booster would fit with the B size solvent trap

Sorry. But this a waste of money for anything other than a solvent trap. The only part worth it are the sleeves. Good video though
Thats what it is tho lmao

Every one knows what it’s all about, why can’t you just mention form 1 and turn it to legal suppressor, why all this shady shit?
You are only inviting ATF to be at your door
Is the whole on the mag light tube already plugged
Anyone know if i can screw it right to my barrel or do i have to get an adapter its my first supresser iv seen alot of people use an adapter. Is there any cons to a direct mount
The company was seized by ATF 💀
What is the charge for using this "solvent trap" improperly?
intent to manufacture is 10 years, manufacturing + possession of an unregistered suppressor is 40 years for each charge.
I don’t understand? Is this a joke maybe?? How can this get you arrested and worse? Would using it with a boresnake constitute improper use. I’m. Ummm my friend used the boresnake with the drain hole opened, and I’m now really worried that could have been illegal. Is it expected of me to report him to gov. Agents? If I fail to inform about him could I get in trouble for the aidsing and inbeddings. Please I am new to this.
greed fox wait so just the prep time in making one of these is around ten years?? Once they charge your card for it, it will then take another 40 years to complete?? I’ve heard that the paper work and process on some things is very long. This is such a confusing field of business that you have here. I see why other countries do not allow it, likely because of the complex, expensive and drawn out nature. Many counties life span isn’t even very long so 50years doesn’t work for them I’m sure. My last question maybe confused. I thjnk. This question I have the idea correctly, yes?
Damn that's steep for tax evasion, taxation without representation, God save the queen cheerio
@@greedfox7842 so basically if some dumbie has spacers and the cups drilled out but it not assembled and they are caught, instant ten years ? And if caught with it actually completed up to 40 years ?
Can these hybrids handle .223?
Get the D size one and it can handle the solvent from the .223 and 5.56.
Lol, at the prices this company is selling these suppressors for, might as well just get one from a reputable company
jostopholees or literally ebay for $20 and repaint it lol

Fk'in atf shut them down+
500 for a trap? wow
this guy does a build for like 100$ ua-cam.com/video/wEbnT7blq-g/v-deo.html
Got mine for $115 on Black Friday regular price is $160 but it’s very well made with baffles drilled
If it's a suppressor, then why not call it a suppressor? People sell suppressors. They are not illegal.
Because a suppressor requires a ATF Form 4 transfer which takes 350 days currently. These solvent traps can be purchased without a form 4. If a Form 1 is approved, they can legally be used to manufacture a suppressor. Selling these as suppressors without firearms licensing would be very illegal for the manufacturer.
@@drewren1231 So, your saying that we are deceiving the government and getting away with it... Are they really this stupid?
Nope. It does not become a suppressor untill a certain step is made. The ATF made the definition of a suppressor now they need to stick to that definition
@@TheSquirreless If it attaches to a firearm and renders it quiet, it is a suppressor. I don't care if it's a vacuum cleaner attachment, stuffed with mashed potatoes,, if it is attached to a firearm, and renders it quiet, it is a suppressor.
@Robert R Naa. I was the guy who had the homework done by the end of the class, so he could spend the afternoon smoking pot and getting pussy. But that has nothing to do with the fact that a thing that suppresses the sound of a firearm is a suppressor. Just because the ATF fucked up and left a loophole, doesn't change that. So why not just call it a 90% complete suppressor? It's either legal or it isn't, regardless of what you call it. I can sell you a semi-auto rifle, and call it a machine gun. The name doesn't make it illegal. Are we clear?
turned the vid off at "style points for the brick red o-ring"
Hawk Innovative Tech/ghost company created by BATF
Clay Rush, if you get a stamp for it you have nothing to worry about. Unless you plan on doing illegal things with yours.
@ I don't even have one nor a need for one
Except it is not. You sound like a BATFE agent yourself spreading fear mongering like they did back with the shoulder brace. You can legally buy these and other solvent traps, same way you can buy an oil filter, or silencer for your motorcycle.
