The harmony parts are written by James. Yes Kirk is badass on this song. But James is the 1 putting in the solo to harmonies 🤘

I know kirk said it needed harmony sections and then one of them wrote the harmony in one afternoon,kirk is not down for writing credit to this one so I guess it must of been james.
Although to me it sounds more like Kirk's melodys or maybe from his solo gave the idea for it.
@@adammoffatt3832 you can Google what Kirk says. Kirk says James told him the song needed a harmony part. So he (James) locked himself in a room until it was done. Kirk then went in and learned it.
This is clearly the best song, Inamorata is a very close second. I get tears in my eyes because Tallica is a huge influence in my life. This song is a reflection of not only James but us all. the lyrics "Ill let them inside my heart/but theyll tear it all apart". ..How many times have we had are hearts broken yall?

I love this song and the entire album. Haven't liked a whole album since the black album. This song is near the top. Shadows Follow and Too Far Gone are also heavy hitters. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

@@alainbagnoud5752 black was a great album. I like DM but the recording was shit on it. Very tinny sounding. Still a good album though. I like 6 songs on that album but I like all 12 on the Black.

@@dlm9477 I dove into Metallica recently after having lost track of them, in my personal experience I have to go through the stuff like three or four times before it sinks in and I must say that DM HW and this recent one are solid bangers (I prefer DM and this new one over Hardwired even though its got some absolute bangers in it)
I know you like the old Metallica. We all do. But we need to stop trying to put them up against their old material and just enjoy great music. I’m an old school fan and musician and bands evolve and try new things. I love your enthusiasm but just enjoy new Metallica 42 years after they first came out. It’s an insane career length when some famous bands even in the hall of fame have careers that last 5, 6, 7 years sometimes. We are spoiled by Metallica. Keep up the great reactions.

This is a album you should listen to several times, as it will grow on you. I like it much better now, then at first listens,
I tryed to rate the songs from the album, even its hard, my mood of the day could make a slightly diffrent list, but i think it looks decent, i listened to all songs at least 20 times each.

I do think a balad would have suited this album, but its not making the album weak that it isnt there, you kind of get to accept the sound of the songs, , and epreciate them as they are, after some listens..
Im old school Metallica. Loved all of their 80s albums. Their black album I liked but everything afterwards was garbage but this new album has me hooked, best album from them in 30 years.

You and l are the same age. I've hated everything from them after the 80s. I didn't mind the black album, it was OK but this new album is perfect in every way. Best album from them in 30 years. Give it a try, I think you will enjoy it.

I don't think you understand the difference between a solo and the harmony part. Let me explain: the out of tune sloppy playing that hurts your ears is Kirk´s solo, the beautiful melodic playing the heals your soul is James´s harmony part

I was watching this in the theater, not this video because it wasnt ready, but before this song i was thinking the album is fine, some filler, lousy production that need more editorial work, but this one made me smile so much, this one and the last one made me incredibly happy
