This was a very straightforward, easy to understand explanation of why or why not form an LLC. The one point missed is Workmen’s Compensation. Beginning in 2023 every contractor in California must pay a minimum Workmen’s Comp. premium regardless if you have employees or not. Depending on your business, this can add multiple thousands of dollars to your liabilities.

Hello Ginny. Would your first question still benefit a person who has lots of personal assets, but based on the nature of her/his business, it'll never cause financial harm to anybody other the business owner herself/himself (e.g. stock market)? Thank you in advance
The point of protecting your personal assets IS to protect the business owner, so yes if you want to protect your personal assets from and potentional unforeseen issues this would apply.

Perhaps you are referring to the licensed contractors rule - that doesn't apply to all contractors though it is specifically licensed contractors
