You mentioned that it is recommended to register your DBA first before registering your business with San Francisco BUT the thing is, in order to register for DBA aka FBN in San Francisco, you need the Business Registration Certificate. It is one of the requirement listen in filing the FBN (DBA). You get BRC when you register your business in San Francisco. Mine I registered in February but until now I have not received my BRC. Strange, Another flaw in that registration system is, it only accomodate one Location Trade Name (DBA) What if you want to file multiple DBAs for your LLC?
