It gives my early 2000's rock vibe. The song has that Breaking Benjamin sound. I have been a fan since the MySpace days with Ghost in The Mirror came out. This is the first song that I can remember that can be on mainstream radio.
This was such an emotionally powerful song. It felt so intimate and private. I felt like I should not have been watching, like I walked in on Chris working through some emotional shit. Absolutely love this song. The lyrics are heartbreaking
In fact, both bands coming from Pennsylvania USA..... strange though.... I've also always heard the Breaking Benjamin singer in several Motionless songs. In fact, even the 2 singers seem like brothers so much they look alike physically!
Just the metal ballad/anthem of the album. Did it with eternally yours and another life so im not surprised. I love that they have the versatility and confidence to throw it in the mix. Miw cant seem to write a bad chorus
I am happy to say that I am a fan of Nickelback. This reminded me a lot of "Another Life". I am quite sure that people could use this song to articulate a painful time in their life. Keep up the good work fellas. 👍
Loved this song and the lyrics really really amazing! Nickelback is also one of my favourite bands! They were my first concert I'd ever gone to and put on an amazing show.
After listening to this song. I physically saw my life rewind back at least 15 years (im 26) to middle school years and I am very happy a long lost version of rock returned. So good
Thankyou for reacting to this, as I do love Another Life & Eternally Yours.. this song really hits home for me. For me personally this is the deepest song Chris has ever written, it breaks my heart to hear all of these words are floating around up inside his mind & to see all the real & pure emotion he feels/deals with & that he carry’s with himself on a daily. He is an amazing artist & this song will always remind me of that & why he is my idol & inspiration. I hope you’ll be able to get yourself a ticket Johnny, the new album will be out a few weeks before the concert in Sydney. So they will more then likely be preforming a lotta the new songs, definitely this one for sure & I cannot wait.
Fun fact... Chris and Ben Burnley are both from northeast Pennsylvania... comparisons of their styles of cleans and the influences sometimes heard make a ton of sense... lots of good stuff from my neck of the woods
I won’t lie, on first listen it didn’t pull me in all that much. After hearing it on the 5th and 6th listen, I definitely like it. The whole thing is a vibe.
The emotional roller coaster this song takes you on is amazing. The breakdown was sick and if they had that melody throughout the song it would've been such a banger. It's like Chris had to get some shit off his chest and we all were part of his audience. Completely opposite spectrum than Cyberhex. It'll be interesting to see what direction the next song pulls us in.
While I'm not necessarily a fan of Nickelback, the Dark Horse album is definitely one of the first albums I recall that drew me into heavier Guitar riffage. Obviously it's not heavy by my standards now, but as someone who never paid much attention to rock beforehand, the main riff from Burn It To The Ground had me boucing my head in a way I had never experienced before.
Thank you for reacting to this! I didn't really get Nickelback vibes but I definitely got Breaking Benjamin vibes from this song. I really love this song and video but I have a soft spot for more ballad type and anthemic songs. I would have gone to one of their concerts but the stop near me on the Trinity of Terror tour sold out before I could even get a ticket. Hopefully I'll get to see them live on one of their next tours.
Unashamedly a Nickelback fan.... And a MIW fan as well. Also a FIR, Poison, Linkin Park, Garth Brooks, Voice Play & Lee Aaron fan. Good music is good music.
When I first listen to it , it was giving me the diary of Jane by breaking benjamin vibe .. I think this is has to be mu favorite by them . It's so raw and emotional to ..
I am proud to say I am a fan of nickelback they along with creed is what got me into rock because my pops would play them like crazy before he passed this album is shaping up to be their best one yet
I love Motionless in White!! I've heard this song too many times to count, and I can only say that it is a MASTERPIECE, hehehe!! This song was probably better than Cyberhex, and I really enjoyed that song as well. Honestly, I can't wait to see where the future lies for this band, because I'm looking forward to hear more!! 🤘😆
This single gave me a ton of breaking benjamin vibes and three days grace vibes too but this was amazing and the emotion in this broke me because I resonated a little bit with it but it's rad to see them experiment with their sound even though they've done softer songs but this was amazing
For everyone saying this reminds them of breaking benjamin, both bands are from the same area in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Breaking ben was an influence to MIW
I would say they listened to a lot of breaking Benjamin and a little 3 days Grace. Even the way he sings/screams/yells in the chorus is very similar to the way Benjamin sings. The break down had some breaking influence too. It’s an amazing song regardless
Used to enjoy Nickelback when I was younger. Was on my road to listening to heavier music, but Johnny is 100% spot on. Hating on Nickelback has become a meme. People are just afraid to say something. They aren't my cup of tea anymore, but they also aren't "the worst band of all time" like people meme them out to be.
hahaha this is ruthless, it wasnt obvious to me that its Nickelback but after you brought it up I couldnt unhear it, it literally changed to Chad Kroegers voice in my head damm
This song caught me off guard the first time I listened to it. Not because it's not amazing (it absolutely is) but because it's one of those more heavy emotionally based songs that exist in Motionless' discography but I think this is the first time one's ever been released as a single. It's just feels weird hearing this without first committing to the entire album... like I didn't deserve to hear it, if that makes any sense.
Im a vocalist and musician that produces music {whoever produced their song animal, or something like that}, was so good, and where did the hate start on nickelback? Like what did they do?
I think personally it happens to any band that gets a real sudden and huge rise in popularity. They were on every radio station, all the time. That kinda success is always going to be met with haters.
I heard the three days grace as well as breaking Benjamin influences as well really fits will with early 2000’s nu metal wouldn’t mind to see it come back.
Reminds me of some Adam from saint asonia and three days grace meets Ryan draiman and breaking Benjamin. Love this Sound along with cyber hex. Two very different sounds from one band. Very tricky to pull off. BTW new follower from USA. You guys are awesome!!! Keep on doing what you do!
I saw Nickelback as my first concert. They were the headliners. This was during the dark horse album which I'm my opinion was their last good album. That show was with sick puppies, breaking Benjamin and Shinedown and was absolutely amazing! So yeah Nickelback fan but to me they aren't as good after the dark horse album. Also this song gives me heavy breaking Benjamin Vibes. So glad y'all thought the same thing
I do hear another life in this track but nothing wrong with that 🔥 by the way … I do get breaking Benjamin / three days grace vibes so good ! P.s. nickelback was good … I said it lmfao
When he says "and in the light of my demise" it gives me chills
It gives my early 2000's rock vibe. The song has that Breaking Benjamin sound. I have been a fan since the MySpace days with Ghost in The Mirror came out. This is the first song that I can remember that can be on mainstream radio.
a lot of MIW has that breaking benjamin feel, Chris sounds a lot like Ben sometimes
Bro some tension between you both you all good?? Lol anyways motionless don't miss
@@wormierdock1085 wym tension there was absolutely no hostility at all i was just commenting on smth
They have had a few that hit mainstream. Not to mention brand new numb on NHL video game. Definitely the ballad of the record.
YES! Breaking Benjamin! That was the vibe I got when the guitars picked up. Good stuff. Good stuff.
They are such an underrated band. I love this song so much.
This was such an emotionally powerful song. It felt so intimate and private. I felt like I should not have been watching, like I walked in on Chris working through some emotional shit. Absolutely love this song. The lyrics are heartbreaking
Breaking Benjamin vibes and I’m loving it 🤘🏼🔥
Almost instantly I heard Breaking Benjamin in this and it was cool to see so many others did. I love this song so much. Love your guys reactions!
Appreciate you
theres alot of breaking benjamin vibes in reincarnate by them, even more so than in this song, they still sound and look very unique tho
Growing up listing to Breaking Benjamin... Once that chorus started I was like wait what lol
In fact, both bands coming from Pennsylvania USA..... strange though.... I've also always heard the Breaking Benjamin singer in several Motionless songs. In fact, even the 2 singers seem like brothers so much they look alike physically!
Go see pictures of the 2 singers (without the make-up of course....), it's like separated at birth isn't it?
Another Life + Voices had a baby. Still good though. :P
it feels like motionless in white playing a breaking benjamin song and I fucking love it.
This group is incredible live! Chris does such an amazing job connecting with the audience.
Just the metal ballad/anthem of the album. Did it with eternally yours and another life so im not surprised. I love that they have the versatility and confidence to throw it in the mix. Miw cant seem to write a bad chorus
Cyberhex was a song that grew on me, but this one grabbed me from the first listen. I'm really looking forward to this album!
Loved it. Also reminds me so much of Breaking Benjamin. Takes me back to high school.
Didn't really think about Breaking Benjamin until now, but you are totally right.
Oh yeah, I got BB vibes right away. A few other songs are like that, Holding on to Smoke shares a lot with Hopeless by BB for example.
Exactly the feel I got as well, got their reference to 3 days grace, but BB is almost spot on
Same
I am happy to say that I am a fan of Nickelback. This reminded me a lot of "Another Life". I am quite sure that people could use this song to articulate a painful time in their life. Keep up the good work fellas. 👍
imo I've seen a few people say that there is a timeline between, "eternally yours" "another life" and this
Fun fact! It’s the same rhythm as Another Life. If you put them side by side it’s pretty cool!
Alot of ppl trash on Nickelback, i like some of their music too,
i love this song sm, the emotion portrayed in it so beautifully raw
I believe the type of rock it is, is active rock
Loved this song and the lyrics really really amazing!
Nickelback is also one of my favourite bands! They were my first concert I'd ever gone to and put on an amazing show.

Fingers crossed I find one!
Fun fact... Chris and Ben Burnley are both from northeast Pennsylvania... comparisons of their styles of cleans and the influences sometimes heard make a ton of sense... lots of good stuff from my neck of the woods
Every time he says "paint" in the chorus. It immediately takes me to Ashes of Eden when Benjamin sings "Why cant I hear you?"
I love this, just saw them last week. Such a good show!!!
Just sooo good...told you it was fire hahah 🔥💪🔥😁 glad you liked it guys...the chat and banter between you to is just epic... 👍
I won’t lie, on first listen it didn’t pull me in all that much. After hearing it on the 5th and 6th listen, I definitely like it. The whole thing is a vibe.
Their last album had different vines throughout. This was phenomenal
The emotional roller coaster this song takes you on is amazing. The breakdown was sick and if they had that melody throughout the song it would've been such a banger. It's like Chris had to get some shit off his chest and we all were part of his audience. Completely opposite spectrum than Cyberhex. Definitely Breaking Benjamin vibes! I think this reminds me of ‘Ashes of Eden’ or ‘The Dark of You’ by BB?
Never Again as well.
He went full on benjamin burnley with this and i absolutely love it
The reaction ive been w8ing.
Loved the reaction you guys! They are definitely worth seeing live!!
Could almost think this was a Breaking Benjamin song, loved it!
I love listening to Nickelballs” not a joke that’s just what we have fun calling them
100 percent he sounds almost identical to Benjamin Burnley from his first few albums...crazy!
Love it, These guys are so good,

HUGE breaking Benjamin vibes here!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Nickelback is my favourite band! 🤟
I've seen them 3 times live, they never disappoint.
Such a good song! Chris/MIW are probably my favorites!
I bet if Breaking Benjamin did a cover of this song, they’d sound exactly the same lol.
Nickelback is one of my favs, seen them 3 times, the most recent time I even flew from Perth to Melbourne for them and bad wolves 😊
massive breaking benjamin vibes
If not on your radar already, you should check out While She Sleeps new song Eye to Eye. Brutal breakdown, movie like video and powerful message.
This is another awesome track by MIW! And yes, Nickelback is a phenomenal band!

Speaking of musicians acting: check out While She Sleeps' latest one
Huge breaking Benjamin vibes and I’m here for it
Gotta love minor key verses with a major key chorus
I don't even hear a hint of Nickleback in his voice but more like Breaking Benjamin vibes! This is the more accurate way to put his style of singing.
Yeah
As a huge Breaking Benjamin fan I can conclude that this song sounds a lot like them, I could honestly imagine Ben singing this
I can identify with the lyrics so much because of my history of depression, anxiety and suicide attempts
Hope you’re well and being kind to yourself 💙
@@nathandjohnny yeah I’ve been mostly good since I graduated high school
It's very breaking ben inspired and the song is an absolute masterpiece 💯👌 (get it 😂)
This song definitely is about him finally getting over past relationships and getting over the bad things that has held him back
Shit!!! I cannot waitttt forr thisssss!
🔥🔥Yeah bloody great song, hope the rest of the album is more of the same style🔥🔥
This song definitely elicits some nostalgia with its early 2000s sound. Very reminiscent of Breaking Benjamin and early Three Days Grace.
Old and refreshing at the same time
Breaking Benjamin was the best comparison, I could definitely picture Ben singing that chorus
Breaking Benjamin +MOTIONLESS IN WHITE = Masterpiece

Definitely feeling the breaking benjamin vibes

Yes please!! 🤘🏻 very Breaking Benjamin but that makes it even better, love this
Cheers lads
Get huge breaking Benjamin vibes from this one and I love it!
I’d love to see your reaction to their song burned at both ends 2.
I wouldn't say I'm a fan of Nickleback, but I like their music. I just don't actively seek their stuff out,but when it's on TV or radio I jam out
hahaha this is ruthless, it wasnt obvious to me that its Nickelback but after you brought it up I couldnt unhear it, it literally changed to Chad Kroegers voice in my head damm
