I think Caleb said something about the new record being that he's most likely working on to be a bit more positive lyrically so I'm happy that he's getting happier if that's the case
I love all of their stuff, but this is just so good. Never had a song in such a long time that the chorus just replayed over and over in my head throughout the day.
As someone who owes their life to beartooth, it makes me so happy to see caleb be able to write positive music and know he's getting better. After how much he's helped me and anyone else affected by his music he absolutely deserves this
August Burns Red typically always sells shirts and tank tops with that slogan on it if you ever wanted to wear that. Even at non metal concerts or the gym I've got a ton of compliments on that phrase. Thank you ABR!
that 'don't wanna write another hopeless song' line hits hard, especially for a longtime Beartooth fan who's followed the band for a while I love that this song is unequivocally positive but it's still unequivocally Beartooth - despite more positive lyrics than they're generally known for, they've lost nothing that makes the band absolutely rock!
I love this comment! Exactly correct! I love that just when I thought they're getting repetitive in their formula, they make a positive change but still remain beartooth to the core
This is the first time I'm hearing of Beartooth. I have some pretty bad depression and I'm at the point where this song just resonates with me on a deep level.
I got to see them live fairly recently and Caleb is one of the best frontmen of any live band I’ve seen, his presence on stage is incredible, jumping around running around climbing up the speaker cabs on the side of the stage all while nailing his vocals. I love this song and can’t wait for more new stuff!
Love the positive energy in this song. Crazy to think this dude was in Attack Attack! They were great too 😆. But wow, Shomo has matured as a musician. 👏🏻
Pretty good tune, his vocals just keep getting better. Used and Abused will forever be their best song for me, the energy of that one gets me every damn time.
phenomenal as always! This song gave me like a combination of BEARTOOTH with like a splash of BRENDON URIE in calebs clean vocals. loving the new sound and cannot wait to where they go from here. Love the new gritty guitar sound. Lyrically just killed it . Catchy, meaningful, powerful, matched with the like greasy riff-downs, light/poppy chorus. Its been a while since a song had my timbers shivered but this song gave me chills! The riff-down tone was too greasy! that last "too much!" was just wow! this song and probably album will be on repeat for a long time. Might be a day late and many dollars short, but Happy Birthday Nath! 🤘
@@Phantombuick1 The stuff Caleb's been posting on his insta says otherwise. Lower tunings and heavier riffs. But, I will say that old Beartooth had a raw heaviness to it.
Yeah no way it'll be heavier. Their EP and their first album were peak heaviness. This chorus is a repeat of what they've done before, but it's what happens when 1 person writes all the music. I feel like this song could be so much better, but it's just a mess
Caleb came out and said he quit drinking and that’s why he’s in such good shape and he’s starting to write more positive music now that he’s not struggling with addiction
They also do album cycles so perfectly. From the look of the band ro the different color schemes they choose to use. Caleb Shomo is incredibly talented as not only a singer but as a complete artist.
This is going to be my new song to introduce people to heavy music. It feels like it has enough of a pop vibe to be able hold the attention of people who would normally shy away from metal
I could only get my wife into Beatooth after my 6 year old daughter fell in love with their song Skin. Now I can share this amazing group with my family without people covering their ears.
And the energy is back! Great to see guys...awesome track and a great informative, funny and banter filled reaction...keep it up guys...and apologies if my comment on the Jimmy Eat World tune kinda was a bit....well you know... 👍☺️😁💪
A secondary video series, where Johnny goes into more technical detail about the music, in his top picked tracks+song request analysis? Called “What Johnny Likes” Eh? EHH? ;3 Love you lads, absolute gems as always 🥹🖤💎
@@nathandjohnny Appreciate the comment lads - glad you guys highlighted that he is working on being positive and trying to break out of the cycle of always writing depressing shit - I think it's crucial for the metal scene. Have a great day!
You guys should invest in better mics, or concentrate more on eliminating room noise. Great vid! Sorry, but audio is a huge part of overall quality. Hit me up if you need tips.
Total left turn... BUT I would love to see your reaction to Orphan - Callouses / Dying Light... First part is gonna make you cry, second part is gonna make you break the table... BUT YEAH, Beartooth has really found their sound and I am happy that Caleb is better...
It was just released... And nothing of reacting the new One Ok Rock and Dance Gavin Dance..? Well guess you guys wont react to them then.. sad though.... ⬇️
No one cares about them. And I highly doubt Caleb has even heard of them. There are only so many notes and melodies you can use without sounding like something else. Hundreds of songs released every week, you think every single thing needs to be unique? Stop being so salty.
I think this song is actually a bit of a mess. The chorus is solid, but it's the same chorus we've heard from Beartooth repeatedly. Also their verses and heavier portions just didn't fit the rest of the song. I think Beartooth could benefit from a producer who does heavier music. It would help Caleb diversify the music sound. Stoked he's healthier and happier, but the song is very meh musically.
💚💚💚

Thank you so much for this song. Best of luck moving forward with your sobriety.

Homie…you got some catchin up to do.
I only found beartooth about a year ago and they're quickly becoming one of my favorites. Music is great medicine for depression. Hope you feel better
Lighting and production on your stuff just keeps getting better. Good job, homies ❤️❤️
Ah thanks legends ❤️
Probably the best chorus of the year so far, it beats when we were young in my opinion

First song of the day for me and it's got me feeling all warm and fuzzy on a cold sunday morning in Scotland. Happy birthday Nath ☺
Love it, love Beartooth. I feel myself needing more positive music and this is perfect 💙
New Beartooth is going to be heavier than all their old stuff, but somehow poppier ? Anyways, excited to see the next release
In no way is this heavier than their old stuff.

you can see the happiness in Caleb's face while singing. lyrics are amazing....we need more Angry Music for Happy People!
The surprise of going into whatever the hell that dance-y siren-ey sounding thing in lieu of a breakdown was so freaking loose, but also tight.
I was actually gonna ask you about these hats, thanks mate! And late happy birthday wishes - or early ones for next year...
The pit's gonna be super bouncy during this one live, holy smokes. Ripper of a track
Caleb, IMO, has the best singing voice in metal. Hands down.
Yeah he’s my fav metalcore vocalist too tbh. His cleans and screams are so consistent and great and plus his songwriting is amazing.
