I have a k1500 rusted to sh*t. Daily driver. Love it. Smokes a bit but I'll run it till it dies idgaf. For a tbi 350 I'll get 600$ core. Got an LS for when I blow the 350. Love old Chevy's. Better than a non interchangeable ford 😂.

Great vid brother and assessment. I bought a 1994 fleetside reg cab shortbed two-tone 4x4 in great shape 2014 for $5000, just sold it a couple weeks ago for $7500. AC didnt work, intake gasket was leaking. I loved it so much, but had to pass her along. I was transparent with its issues. Prices are climbing on OBSs.
Just bought a Victory Red 2000 Z71 Tahoe, kind of a rare find as OBS was a tweener year in 2000 on the Zs and Limiteds, two owner with 179K for $5000. The old man bought it with 50K, never pulled anything with it. He had all the hallmarks addressed, intake gaasket, inst cluster, brake lines, rear ac. It has some frame rust that I will address in Spring, treatable stage II, nothing major. I just put on some KO1s, and look forward to driving it in the snow. You are so right, it's great when you find a truck that rides so smooth, is so comfortable, and truly feels like it was built for you. The smiles per gallon cannot be beat with my hoe. hahaha

My favorite truck of all time is the 70s Dodge D/W200. I wanted one but I heard several times not to since its engine far outlives the rest of the vehicle.....
But just bought a 97 Chevy C1500 Stepside and she's a beauty aswell with "only" 153k miles. Its here in Holland and its pretty rare to find such trucks with lower milage.

I looked for about two years before finding my '97 half ton extended cab, short box standard tranny with a canopy. It's called a Kodiak model because of the positraction rear end, block heater, heavy duty alternator and heater. Recently I cursed GM for not equipping these trucks with stainless steel brake lines, though. After having to add brake fluid a couple of times, I took it to a shop and found that one of my rear brake lines was rusted out with the other side not far behind. So always replace them with stainless lines if you're planning on keeping the truck a long time. To do that though, you'll probably have to do the job yourself since brake shops (at least mine) didn't stock stainless steel brake lines.

Great trucks to daily, they guzzle gas but who gives a shit, parts for them are cheap and easy to find, word of advice for anyone interested in buying one, try to go with one that came with a 700r4, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the last year of the 700r4 in these trucks was 1992, but at the end of the day these trucks for the price are an all around win
