- In episode 4 I take a hike with fellow Napa fungiphile, Jasmine Smith (@jazmush) and talk about how anyone can become a mycologist through using community science tools like iNaturalist.
Thanks again to Sean Hernandez @now2eternityproductions for the amazing job filming and editing this video. Go give him a follow on YT and IG!
The Helvella Vespertina are out in force here around Point Sal and Point Conception. My journey down the rabbit hole started with wanting to eat Chanterelles. A month later, I have the ubiquitous Everything That the Rain Promises and More and Mushrooms Demystified. I almost take daily walks through the Bishop Pines, Eucalyptus and Coast Live Oak looking for fungi.
Love Love Love! " I thought I was just going for a hike! " Ya'll make me so mushy happy 😊
Thank you for your uplifting thoughts, much appreciated! More to come!!
Im definitely going to go follow Jasmine on her social media profiles after this! Her mushroom rabbit hole story is so relatable to my own! I also love finding & taking photos of all the different mushrooms with their unique colours & appearances (although her photos are incredible). Every walk through the woods is a treasure hunt for sure 😊💜
I find lots of chanterelles in northern michigan, hericium from time to time, dont have much luck with morels ever lol lobster mushroom found a lot, all those coral looking small ones everywhere not the hedgehog, the red and orange and off beige, appreciate your channel mushroom brother
Love it❤
Weird this was just recommended to me after a year. I'm a Mycologist in the coastal plains and a top contributor on Inaturalist myself who watches most fungi related material, algorithm is slacking. Nice video
Thanks! Yea unfortunately the UA-cam algorithm doesn’t seem to like my content much. I appreciate the kind words and interaction!
What is this recorded on?? Awesome video
I filmed this with a Sony a7iii. Thank you for your awesome feedback!
very cute video - why she screams when you see the hedgehog mushroom???? I thought she saw a rattle snake or scorpion or something else, hahahaha, she is really passionate!
Hi. I now you both from our Instagram community :) It's great to see you in the forest, the video is very inspiring and educative. A small technical feedback from my side - I find the sound levels in this video too much below "UA-cam average" which brings some discomfort and could potentially discourage some people from watching. Maybe a thing to keep in mind for your next video. Cheers.
Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated
@@now2eternityproductions I like the audio on this, what is this filmed on? Awesome quality
Funny how I get this recommended to me after I start watching The Last Of Us 😂
