- Come take a look at all the amazing fungal biodiversity in North Carolina. This was filmed around Asheville and up at Pink Beds (part of the Pisgah National Forest).
What’s really cool about milk caps is the liquid that comes out is filled with spores. They look like dancing atoms under a microscope. 😊
when see a mushroom i just have to smile so yours make me smile because of the mushroom and the learning about it
It’s such a pleasure to watch an expert doing his thing, thanks for sharing your passion!

Mushrooms are just... So adorable and amazing for me!, i always like to see them growing
It gets me sad when ppl just break them or pull them off with no intention of letting them reproduce (wihout tapping them)
Wonton destruction of mushrooms also makes me sad, but just as a counter point - picking a mushroom and leaving it in the woods will often stop it from turning into a pile of moldy goop. Instead it will dehydrate and release its spores for longer. It’s not always harmful to mushrooms for us (as animals) to interact with them.
lactarius indigo! i have always wanted to find these beauties. glad you got to see one out in nature!

Very similar to what’s going on in New Jersey right now :) great finds!

We've been having some Dyers Polypore fruiting around our hemlock, they are pretty cool.
