You see this, this is what I'm talking about, society always pushes away suicide when the other kids are actually murdering someone, even if they didn't do it themselves, they still have blood on their hands and they don't even care, which I think is the most evil thing someone can do, it makes me sad to see so many people take their lives because they don't fit in, trust me it gets better, there is always people who will be there for you, even if you can't see it.

Working for Disney was the first and ONLY time, to this day, I felt COMPLETE acceptance. There's nothing harder to endure than feeling the need to hide something you naturally are. To finally find an environment that celebrates what makes you unique versus pressuring you to hide it, was GOLD and I will always cherish the confidence the House of Mouse gave me. ♥

The day I got hired to sing at Disney World was the happiest day of my life. I spent a wonderful year singing at WDW. At the end of my yearlong contract, I was told I wouldn't get renewed. The reason was supposedly my singing. In the entire year I never got a note about my singing. I truly believe, I my contract wasn't renewed because the leaders of my singing group assumed I was gay. No one asked. It's now 26 years later, and I still grieve for this job. I'm glad Disney Pride is working on it.

these videos are more aimed at society than actually troubled gay people.they typically say "it gets better because" because you grow up and realize that people are more tolerant than you thought and you're more comfortable with yourself, all that crap, and blah, blah. its like these people who went through it dont even understand it, that there are so many more problems and dynamics about being gay than getting bullied; being young and gay is lonely, isolating,

I know so many other people in the amazing spectrum of human identity who live normal, happy lives. If you are in a small town hold on, save up, keep listening to the folks who've been through it all and then move to a city. We love you. This world needs you. You matter and there is nothing wrong with you for who you love, there is something wrong with those who hate you for who you love. (Psst, you are totally welcome in Seattle too!)

Thank you, Disney, for this touching and inspiring video. I was bullied all through Jr. High and High School because of a rumor another girl started about me just before she moved out of town (before I could beat her ass and make her tell the truth). You wouldn't think a rumor would change someone's life, but it did. No friends, no party invitations, rude and offense comments, fights, etc, resulted. I was a naive and innocent girl before then.

This is just beautiful and I'm so grateful for everyone who did this and I'm also happy that they struggled their situations, as harsh as they might've been and that they are now sharing their experience and reaching out. I hope all the people in this video are now truly happy and glad with their lives :)

Disney teaches you to love your self of what you are and that being different and special it is no wrong, Inspires you to preserve your innocence. So there is no reason for the whole world to know what you are or how you feel. Just embrace what you are and be comfortable with it.

They can say what they want... hate all they want... but these so called 'haters' will still spend their money on Disney products, movies, tickets etc... they're probably be the firs to say that their first childhood memories was a Disney World... or their favorite movie was Toy Story. They still give Disney the power and money to continue growing the way it is.

Working at the Disneyland Resort had been the most liberating free time in my life in many ways, my short internship was the first time i was ever open about my sexuality to co-workers, that doesn't mean i told everyone, it means i didn't have to hide it. The family, the sheer quantity of fellow lgbt cast members and straight allies, never needed to say they supported you, you felt it, it was what i can imagine the rest of the world being like someday, where it's no. big. deal.

Bravo, Disney! This is one of the reasons I am so proud to be a fan and stockholder. I experienced the same bullying as a teenager and thought several times about suicide but found the strength to overcome it. It is sad that gay teens feel like their is no hope and suicide is the only way out. We are all connected and they need to know its OK. It does get better and they love you receive once you know that is not worth giving up. Bullying has to stop.

It could take a short or long time but you should always remember that through the rain and storms, there's a rainbow and sunshine (or whatever is your fantasy.) It gets better
