I'm writing a sci-fi horror novel and listening to this to set the mood. Before that I just played John Carpenter-esque horror synthwave, but I think this truly fits the vibe I'm going for. Great job.

I love creating mental images/scenarios in my head when I listen to dark synth.
With this, especially in the beginning, I picture standing on the side of a long, dilapidated stretch of highway alone, in an expansive desert wasteland decades after a cataclysmic nuclear war. My decaying, worn out car just broke down on me, and now, I must decide what to do next.

The pitch changes actually come from 2 sources.
1. The 2 oscillators are tuned to different notes. As they cycle through their waveforms, you hear one more than the other.
2. The delay time is being modulated. As the delay time changes, it adds a drift to the overall pitch 😊

Yes, I would! Morphing waveforms, super wide oscillators, modulatable analog delay and a VCA bias knob so it’ll drone right out of the box.

@@thedronezone2128 would you recommend any effects to add? I was looking at a Zoom multi effects medal. But I’m not sure if it’s good for a beginner. Or would you just recommend starting only with the Neutron? I think I’m now definitely getting one :D

@@ChrisE72 External effects are good, but honestly I really only use plug-ins for effects. With a few exceptions.
Especially for a beginner, I’d explore software effects first and see how you go from there :)
