Blue or black would be good, with a generous dose of weathering!

Great work on the re-vamped bridge. the thing is with bridges they come in various colours. i know it must be well finished by now. as long as your happy the finish. that's all that counts my friend. Tony.

Finished ages ago. I remember suggesting the colour for the footbridge at Tyne Dock years ago

Nice bridge. There are many grey/blue examples around and a weathered and rust treatment will really finish it off.
I made an effort to build a similar bridge to that built by @tonynortheastern and posted videos of the process complete with rust treatment. Unfortunately I have not installed it as yet on my layout. ❤️📐🖍

Ill look up your video. Im leaning towards blue, and i have lots of weathering and rust treatment to apply when i get there. Next phase is to paint it, colour in the walking boards and then fit the track. Thanks for the input Charlie, much appreciated.

ill have a look at that, think its time i bought an spray gun, put it off for a while now, but the rattle cans throw out too much paint,

Hornby did a bridge in red in the 70s so why don't you just paint it blue as you said .It's good to see you back because you have been missed.

layout is far off im afraid. dont have the space yet as still have 5 kids at home. Im just getting the stock ready and buildings etc so i can concentrate on the layout only when i have the space
