🤣😅 the Congolese Luo is city bred like me. But it doesn't mean we are not proud to be Luo. I sat next to a Japadhola on a flight from Amsterdam to Nairobi and I never realised we're from different countries until he confessed to me halfway through the flight. I assumed he was a Luo from Siaya County as he spoke like people there.
i think jal alur mi congo doesnt understand the language of alur of congo is just picking some words random is a disgrace the kenyas luo asking him but, is vague no clue just loughing all the time
We the Nuer of South Sudan and Western Ethiopia also have similar counting numbers with you except you guys add 'a' to them: we start our numbers: Kel, Rew, Diok,Nguan,Dhiec,Bakel,Barow and so forth and it shows our ancestors came from place and it is good to know that and thank for you video young man.
actually the Nuer were Dinkas who intermarried and assimilated with the Luos, the whole of Nuer language is either Dinka or Luo words similarity. This is evidence because the Dinka is the only tribe which doesn't share many words with other river lake Nilotes. Even in counting there's no tribe which says tok(one) dhetem(6) bet(8) but if you look at the Nuer counting its mostly Luo borrowed words and Dinka every single number
Yeah most of the languages in south sudan are very similar considering that most inhabitants are nilotes. Nuer is more similar to Dinka than any other language. i can tell you that because i have had an opportunity to live among both tribes. if you know nuer automatically you know dinka in sense that 80% of whole vocabulary of Nuer and Dinka are the same
Highly recommend that you acquaint yourself with the study of linguistics, especially the principles of the degree of "mutual intelligibility" among similar languages separated through time and geography, cause that what you are grappling with and trying to unravel !!!
This is interesting that with the chollo, 10 is "pier" because now it makes sense why 20 for us is "pier ario" 30 is "pier adek" with the same pattern going up to 90. We the Southern Luo must have changed it along the way
Watiye omego doo owora yaa 😂 I initially couldn't differentiate between leb Acoli and Lango till I was in Lira for a bit. Lango is hard for us the Alur. When I heard prayers sounding familiar, from Radio Maria, I was informed radio Maria is in Gulu! Acoli was sooo easy to understand. That's when I realised Acoli and Alur are truly brothers.

For us Acholi of Uganda, things are very similar to all these words
