      I'm 100% committed to my business and it's success, put in alot of hard work. If you think about it me working 84-90 hours a week is essentially like the equivalent of getting in 2 years worth of work & experience in just one year.
      Thanks for your feedback brother...appreciate you!

    I do the same thing with my towels. I get em at Costco and toss em when done. Only wash the drying towels 💪🏼💪🏼 just hit 25 5star reviews. Can’t wait to get on your level man! 🏁🏁

    I like using a virgin towel on glass, any kind of detergents, rags to riches even, tend to cause them to streak, I like the Autofiber Roll O Rags which are a tearaway roll, I use it on the glass, then maybe like you said, wipe down the door jambs after even when theyre still damp from the glass cleaning, then maybe after the door jambs Ill hit the wheels with them for a buff... then in the garbage they go

    I would've been nervous too! Have you considered a tornador? Game changer for us! Also a game changer for air vents, damp rag with some interior spray on it, hold over the vent and tornado it! like new every time!!

    That's a good price for that. Depending on how long it's been sitting not sure if it gets embedded into the hard plastics the longer it sits. That MYTEE takes forever to set up.

    Love your videos and how customer service is always number 1 which I agree too.
    With that being said. Would you be so kind to share what brand and product you use and get your micro fiber towels from and which one you use on glass windows.

    I do $150 basic inside outside for sedans but i always take about 2 1/2 hours so i need to start raising my price closer to $200 like you.

    • @topstardetailing
      @topstardetailing  3 дні тому +1

      If you are getting booked out at those prices then Start by raising your prices in 10% increments go from $150 to $165, then once you are getting booked out at those prices raise them another 10%. It's too big of a jump to raise 20% ($50) at once and you may lose a good portion of your customers... unless you grandfather them in and raise the prices for new customers.

      Normal laundry detergent can damage the fibers of the micro fiber towels and they may not work as well, maybe fine for small towels/rags but I wouldn't recommend on the more expensive drying towels.

    Spare change: Typically loose change under seats etc it gets vacuumed up, if its loose change that is pretty obvious to see along seats, carpets, center console etc, I'll bag it up for the customer. 9 out of 10 times they let me keep the change too lol

    • @topstardetailing
      @topstardetailing  5 днів тому +1

      I have found $20 bills under the seats sometimes so I always double check under the seats first to be sure I don't accidentally vacuum any bills up. I have had customers usually tell me to keep it and that they appreciate my integrity for letting them know.

    Wait a minute, so you are using dirty towels from the last job to a new one or are you using new towels every job? I didn’t quite understand that last part. Drying towels i got you but for your other towels like the glass and interior you said you don’t wash them so im assuming you’re either using new towels for every job OR you’re using old towels from previous jobs for new jobs is that what im getting here? 🤷🏻‍♂️

      Always brand new towels for glass and interior wipe downs, but after that they become door jam towels, tire rags, engine rags...etc There's no point in using NEW towels to clean an engine bay or to wipe grimey tires, door jams right? Make sense?

      @@0togtr811 yeah much better to have open days and hope to get new customers than the schedule already booked with paying customers… a bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush bro.
      Plus I have built a strong enough brand to where my clients will wait for my service and pay the prices I charge without trying to negotiate.
      I also have maintenance clients in my schedule that I can move around if necessary as well as another detailer that I collaborate with to take my overflow for a split when im full… I am in the process of hiring detailers and building out another mobile unit… appreciate your input, but trust me I know what I’m doing and have it under control ;)

      I have a different approach on being booked out. I know it’s a hotly contested subject. I’m pretty much always booked out 2-3 weeks, sometimes longer in summer months. Some people might think this is bad service, but I’ve had the opposite experience :
      1) this allows me to be extra extra choosy with any customers I take. If I know I’m booked out, I don’t have to be worried about taking every client
      2) I develop an even more loyal customer base. The customers that are willing to wait for my service typically appreciate my high demand, and are that more eager to wait for me
      3) perhaps the most important, I have peace of mind knowing my future revenue stream and I have predictability in my business.
      I think the last point is highly important for new business owners especially (me included )
      I am right at the level where I should bring on another employee , but I am waiting to build up my business cash reserves a bit more before doing it.
      Let the debates begin..

      @@topstardetailing ok. I thought about sending some work your way because I've moved away from the simple cash wash and interior cleaning to surface protection more so often ppf and wraps more people are seeing the advantage of film protection then a ceramic coating that will still get rock chips and stretching but it seems u don't need the help.
