I liked the progression of this song a lot. Been holding out for the whole end of an empire album before buying, but I've been listening on here the whole time and the second that thing drops I'm buying it. So many good tracks and Klayton's production is sublime.
Lyle McDouchebag I think i've seen you around here before Lyle, I keep forgetting you're a fan, I can't say I blame you ;) If you haven't, I recommend checking out some of his pat albums.
I'm loving how diverse the audience is when it comes to Celldwellers music. On one of the other songs people will be like "This is literally the best thing since sliced bread" but on stuff like this they'll say "This is weak", "this isn't what I wish it could be." Or vice versa. I guess that is the huge issue when you mix literally a billion different sounds, genres and stuff together. I'm glad Klayton makes what he feels like making because by god even his own followers sometimes are impossible to please.
There's a street light on my road that does what this video does. Hopefully no one who randomly walks their dog down our road has epilepsy. Almost makes me wanna seize just looking at that crazy light.
Σωκράτης Λάζος Just the general beat of it, it's what it sounded like to me. I did put it in quotes though just to show that it's not 100% accurate, it's just what I heard from it
Everything about this song is so good - melody, genre, lyrics! So my conclusion? Klayton is not human, he already surpassed human boundaries with this song.
Klayton is definitely the most talented musical artist i know, and certainly one of the world's most talented artists. At the short "club music" part i was like "wtf is going on??!", then, the real song starts and i'm like "YEESS, HELL YEAH" and i really enjoyed This music, klayton never disappoints...
You have taken Electronica & Metal to a new Level !!!! You are one great musician & producer !!!! You're a influence to listen to and as a fellow musician/producer !!!! You have surpassed the band " Muse " !!!!!
"Rise up from the ground, join our voices to the sound. The Time has come, New Elysium. Tear this oppressive Empire down." DUDE that lyric was so badass.
Ammnontet, king of UA-cam help sent..it should arrive soon. IN A FORM OF END OF AN EMPIRE : DEATH FULL ALBUM. our souls will perish. or at least we will shit bricks.
for me one of the greatest genius, I listen to this album again 7 years later and it's still incredible... he manages to mix all styles of music in one piece and it's totally crazy
In my humble opinion, New Elysium is what the entirety of End of an Empire has been leading up to. It is a marriage of Klayton's original, rock/metal focused album and his newer techno stuff, with the classic Klayton vibe of endings, beginnings, religion and the fact the human race is fucking with itself. In summary, it's an absolutely beautiful piece of music, and would be worthy of awards if anyone actually knew Celldweller existed.
The fuck?! How can someone dislike something which has The Last Firstborn vibe?? I thought this was what most haters bitched about - wanting Klayton to go back to 2003 sounds? Whatever.... Anyway, GODLIKE track!
***** This song barely has any of the vibe The Last First Born had ,that song is the darkest track in terms of atmosphere klay ever composed.Put some generic psytrance rhythm ,house beat throw some dubsteb wooble and you get this.I apreciate his ability to blend styles but this one seems underwhelming.
***** To be honest, I didn't like the Last Firstborn, but I really like this track. And hey, some people don't like the way celldweller evolved over time, but I like most, if not all, of his work :P
***** Honestly I thought that The Last Firstborn was one of the weakest tracks on that album. Just goes to show that there are always exceptions to the rule, not everyone likes the same sounds :\
Th3EnterNal Housebeat I can see, rhythm isn't really that "generic", and there really is no issue with a wobble IMO, but whatever. Even if it's more dub than metal, it's still well done.
Vissoff Actually you are right ,the psytrance and guitar parts are good here but i cant sense any metal in his songs not since he ditched the live drums ,i fucking hate that, and those "cheesy" lyrics lyrics......,whatm im saying is that klayton tried to make this this song too much like the last firstborn, and kind of failed.
One of the best track heard lately !! Super progressive and super amazing to every bit .. The production is so pitch perfect and took me off the ground !! Bravo That's some serious kick ass stuff ... Hail
DirtySheriffx same when I found it out too last year. I’ve listened to the anti-Nightcore version and looked for the original, and then I found this and other masterpieces made by Celldweller
@@umbertodeclemente I found Celldweller in like '05 through NFS Most Wanted (6 years old at the time) but actually got into his music just after Chapter 1 of EOAE (Time) was released in 2014-15. In 2014 I'd find myself playing the game just to hear the songs, and now here I am as a metalhead because of Celldweller. Hip-hop and pop just didn't click for me either so that helped.
4:55 This part is my favorite, the unison reverb of the "Rise up from the ground, Join our voices to the sound, the time has come, new elysium, tear this oppressive empire down".
xD michael ghan, i think they refer to dust as the atoms of which make up everything in science, pointing out a reality found log times before real science happened. we may have electrical bonds, but we are from dust of to which we shall return

majorly digging this song! and all of EOAE! can't wait to hear the other song from this chapter! usually the next song is just absolutely mind blowing on these. you get a sick taste of awesomeness with the first released song, and then the second song released later is more like "woah. hold the damn phone... it just got even better."
This is going on the Catalyst Run soundtrack... Catalyst Run of the game I’ve been developing for a while now. A game that won’t be ready to play for another 50+ years. But it’ll be pretty damn good when it is.

*Theme Analysis* In Greek mythology the Elysian Fields are the resting place of dead heroes. You might think this is paradise, but it's not ; the heroes are dead, they can longer protect the people. Heroes, being ideals, symbolize the death of progress in humanity by dying. Thus from a mythological perspective this is bad news for the world!! In the same mythology however, a return of the Age of Heroes is being prophesised. It seems the theme of New Elysium is just that, the abolishing of the old stagnant empire and the setting up of a new, a continuation of the old yet also one of order, so that the dead light of the heroes might live again. This concept is the blueprint of the whole theme surrounding the myth of the old king Osiris and the new king Horus, who becomes a great ruler by defeating the destructive entropy, Set. Horus doesnt kill Set but rather makes him the servant of the half-dead Osiris. Through Horus, now Osiris lives again. *Order out of Chaos* Well played Klayton, well played indeed ^^

Words of wisdom.
Truth spoken from a Cellmate, as myself being a Cellmate as well, I couldn't agree with you more.
Amanda Sanders Fuck yeah!
I am yet to find a Celldweller track that I don't like. I don't even think he could make a bad song if he tried!
Because he likes mashing genres together, I guess it would be difficult for him to make a song someone didn't like at least a little

Celldweller is way ahead of its time
He was ahead 20 years ago too
Gotta admit, I was skeptical this was going to be "Club music" around the first drop, but for the rest it was entirely turned around. This is awesome!
Six Is psy trance club music? :S

true and all but i dont understand how muse and celldweller are comparable.
could you explain to me ?
Both use Electronic & Rock Music
Muse : Is a band 3/4 members
Celldweller : Individual Producer / Artist / Multi-Musician
ah okay, ya got me confused there for a minute. :)
