X-Men 97: The Blueprint for the MCU's X-Men Reboot. In this video, we delve into why X-Men 97 is not just a nostalgic revival but a crucial blueprint for how the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) should reintroduce the X-Men into their cinematic universe. After years of the Fox X-Men films shying away from their comic book roots, X-Men 97 serves as a reminder of the core values that the X-Men represent: equality, individualism, and embracing one's uniqueness.
We explore how the vibrant visuals, dynamic colors, and the heightened nature of a comic book should be fully embraced in the MCU's approach to the X-Men. Gone are the days of sneering at "yellow spandex;" it's time for the X-Men to shine brightly on the big screen.
Moreover, we emphasize the importance of hiring creatives like Beau DeMayo, the creator and lead writer of X-Men 97, to helm these projects. With their life experiences and specificity, they can effectively bring to life the subtext of the X-Men and the struggles of marginalized communities, adding depth and authenticity to the storytelling.
Furthermore, we discuss the significance of the X-Men's messaging and their role in pushing for more progressive politics. This has always been a cornerstone of the X-Men's narrative, and it's essential that the MCU continues this tradition, addressing important social issues head-on.
Join us as Griffin (@griffschiller) explores why X-Men 97 is not just a revival of a beloved animated series but a guiding light for the MCU's X-Men reboot, paving the way for a more inclusive and socially conscious approach to superhero storytelling. He also explores why X-Men 97 is a perfect X-Men adaptation, why X-Men 97 is the best MCU show, why X-Men 97 is a masterpiece, and why X-Men 97 succeeds where the Fox X-Men Failed

What do you guys think of X-Men 97?🤔 Are you loving it? Should it be the blueprint for reintroducing X-Men into the MCU? Comment below!💥
No you internet guys have to stay where you guys at.You guys have hundred thousand marvel this marvel that.Marvel from 2014 gave you guys that don't know nothing about marvel what you guys wanted.Dumb down content for you guys to understand.Thats why you guys love james gunn and gotg crap so much. That a lot you guys gateway to marvel. And I'm saying "You guys" aka the so called Mcu fan cause y'all didn't grow up with these characters. Ive seen it real time when gotg1 came out and the fake fans jumped on the bandwagon. They didn't need to disrespect the characters for the internet crowd with XMen 97. I've watch you guys for 3yrs with videos "I'm done with marvel". Y'all have to stand on business. The real Marvel heads ain't go nowhere. We just want our characters that we grew up with and the lore of the Marvel universe to be done with respect. The internet get the Marvel head's and the Mcu fan mixed up.Real marvel fans(not all) don't do fandom and geek things like every other fandom. We dont make a hundred thousand videos about a character and we are not a vocal fanbase. We let our pockets speak if we don't like something.Xmen 97 is the number one show and didn't need internet hype. But i think Marvel get the picture. So for the internet geek content creators and the so called Mcu fan dont let the door hit you where it split you.And for the new fans don't come into it like the Mcu fan.Learn about the history of the marvel universe, the lore and history of the characters.💯
fox x men failed from the start... hunky tall wolverine? really? they F"d up everything starting from that!
It's faithful to X-TAS and doesn't take itself seriously. Pretty much the same vein as a Saturday Morning 90's cartoons but with some updated anime spunk added in. The removal of Charles I think is to show off Cyclops (Scott Summers). I won't spoil the plot to the normies on youtube but wait and see folks. It gets good.
I am loving it!
New X men 97 sucks bro it's not what we needed the narrative is way off! And marvel is horrible now, and everyone has spider powers 🤬 DC? Still can't do a good super man movie without people complaining, about every little thing,
Agreeing with what you said, watching X-Men 97 actually made me realise how good of a match James Marsden was, being cast as Cyclops and how Fox kept on misusing him throughout the franchise.
Yep. Exactly.
Because it focuses on the X-Men and not just “Wolverine and some other mutants sometimes.”
True. Wolverine is so overrated
“Wolverine and…… what are those other people’s names again”
Absolutely and that’s where it went so wrong. In fact, I bet if you asked all of the right wing so called xmen fans who their favourite character was, it’s wolverine.
Not saying that’s bad, but they’re just in it for the claws and violence is my point.
Your commentary about sinister!! 👨🏾🎨
@@valleyofthedawlz wolverine is not overrated at all, he's perfectly rated, they just focused more on him in the movies, doesn't make him overrated
Fox Xmen failed because they focus too much to Wolverine while Xmen story suppose to be every Xmen team story.
As well as Charles and Erik in the first class stuff.
Eg how can we care about Jean going Dark Phoenix if we barely know her.
Dark Phoenix also had one of the worst offences; Crimes against Selene.
THANK YOU!
I used to say that I believe Wolverine was overrated...
While the TRUTH IS all the other X-Men were UNDERRATED!!!
@@FantasticExplorers Which is probably why, whilst the New Mutants movie wasn’t well received, people really liked Dani and Wolfsbane.
Problem is that a lot of the characters were not really characters. More like google images and a power sheet.
That’s why it’s so jarring to see a movie where Rogue, Nightcrawler and Mystique are in it and they have next to nothing to do with each other.
Folks the 2000 X men were failed because it first of Franchise movies. They weren't planning to do so much movies.
@@christopherbennett5858 I actually really liked that movie! I think they did a fantastic job on casting!! And yeah they definitely underutilized some characters (looking at the boys really), But I thought it was a fantastic introduction movie!
Still crossing my fingers hoping Kevin F will be smart enough to say "actually that was the first mutants in the MCU movie" 🤣 But I doubt it
Comics Cyclops: Badass leader and tactician with cool power and lots of great story involvement.
Movie version: Roof destroyer and scene transitioner.
Let's not forget, "crybaby". 😑
Damn. You. Fox.
@@alexhale2696 Indeed.
Fox had Wolverine as the main protagonist and leader while they had Cyclops be a whiny leader with no effective tactics, however, in the original comics, it is Cyclops with the tactics and strategies which is part of his power. Wolverine might be stronger due to healing factor and adamantium skeleton but lacks moral strength due to his tragic story. Wolverine is older than all of them but has suffered alot.
And what better way to make it
"Wolverine's X men" other than to kill off the 1st X man and the founder of the team.
You need to understand, at the time the first X-Men movies were made Cyclops hadn't been an important or relevant character in the comics for 15 years. From when he came back in X-Factor in the mid 80s and then throughout ALL the 90s, no one knew what to do with him. He got no storylines to himself, no arcs, no growth. Anything he did get was tied to the 90s Fad characters popular at the time.
He was just "Hard leader guy who clashes with Logan a lot" and nothing else.
It wasn't until the early 2000s that the 90s fads collapsed and new writers who disliked characters like Wolverine came onboard that he underwent his Renaissance. First there was Xavier being banished, then Schism and finally Decimation and Utopia where Cyclops was front and center and he was an A-Lister X-Man again.
The movies realized they'd hit gold with Hugh Jackman and were too invested in the storyline begun in X-Men 2000 to really bother doing anything big with the other characters. And then when they tried a semi-restart with First Class it didn't do as well and they chalked this up to lack of Jackman when it was really because they didn't just make a proper clean break with continuity.
When we get new X-Men movies set in the MCU, they'll have more to work with for Cyclops' character
"What would you prefer? Black Leather." I love how the animated show rips on that movie line.
Fox failed because the franchise became Wolverine and Friends.
It really did. Hugh Jackman may have been a beloved actor, but Wolverine seriously hogged the spotlight.
@@disneyvillainsfan1666 Fox was one dimensional
Wolverine isnt even the coolest XMen when i grew up with the animated series. It has always been Magneto, Storm, Gambit, Rogue. Cyclops has always been hated though. lol.

Whoever owns the rights to the video game "X-Men: Legends" needs to develop a remake ASAP.
Yes!!!
We had the best X-Men game and other characters. it was called Marvel Heroes Omega. Taken offline I was heartbroken and still am. I want my game back. I had all of the hero skins. I miss that game so much it was my favorite.
Adding my Punisher was level 58 gold fully maxed. I was 2 levels away from level 60 before Marvel Heroes Omega went offline.
The rights have probably expired but it was developed by Raven who are unfortunately stuck in the Call of Duty mines. Though they made the campaign to Black Ops Cold War which was actually a really fun campaign. Raven needs to be freed.
Raven also made the XMen Origins Wolverine game too. Seems like they knew their stuff when it came to XMen and the Marvel universe.
In 2019, Nintendo and Koei-Tecmo made Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. I’d imagine that if anybody holds the X-Men Legends rights at the moment, it’s them.
‘97 was such a nice change of pace from all the previous Marvel shows. I really hope Marvel realizes the positive feedback everyone’s giving this show, and actually change how they do their future projects.
They won't.

It was really nice that Disney gave Marvel Studios the chance to take a brief break from the MCU and focus on something completely standalone (well, at least for now-I find it hard to believe this won't be tied into the multiverse at some point down the road). Maddy called herself The Goblin Queen for no reason ....In the comics, the demons manipulated her, and embraced her anger like Palpatine did to Anakin.
Ok but I am still a little confused about the goblin part. I know this is superhero comics with names like BATman and Captain America but Goblin Queen for an evil psychic clone is a little left field.

Basically, Colossus's sister, Magik could not be turned, or give up her power in Limbo-for the demons of Limbo to take Earth. They chose the clone of Jean Grey who had a piece of The Phoenix power to open the portal. For some reason, Dr. Strange was not around as he helped Magik more than The Scarlet Witch before..I also felt that Magik and Rachel Summers should have fought The Goblin Queen directly, but the company did not want that to occur They wanted the two X-Men teams to battle each other only. I mean it's really a metaphor for racism in the 60's
as someone who finds Disney pandering to be too much at times in almost every single IP, i grew up with X-men animated and comics in the 90s. If anything is supposed to be woke and inclusive, its the X-Men. Mainly because it has always been this way.
@@gooblanoidlol not initially and even not today. The allegorical aspects of the x-men have always been broad to portray a range of issues and to give voice to the disempowered in our society. As a 1-1 for any single issue, they fall short but broadly those who feel marginalized are all lifted by the x-men, it’s one of the most beautiful parts of their media!
The X-Men in the 97 series, the revival of the original 90s cartoon, was insanely successful, and everything from the story, visuals, action, animation, and even the theme, is all astonishing. I'm so glad Marvel got the X-Men rights back, hope to see them in the MCU soon, 'cause 97 was just the beginning for them.
To me, my X-Men!!!
I think what makes X-Men 97 so great is that it feels like MARVEL and not the MCU
It's not exactly rocket science. Give your fans what they want and you'll be successful. Disney managed to not screw with the source material and it's already a runaway success. Hopefully they've learnt their lesson. All it took was for them to just NOT screw with something that people already love. The X-Men cartoon was great because the stories were great, the characters were great and that's not going to change because of generations.

Scott summers is one of my favourite Xmen character
Any comicbook movie director should be forced to watch X-Men 97 before they start their project. Not just X-Men related directors, literally any comicbook movie director.
It really embodies what a comicbook adaptation should be and I believe you can also pull this off in live-action. The best part of X-Men 97 wasn't the action (while it was top tier), it was the story and characters. It's rare to have stories like clone Jean Grey or Genosha genocide done so well in a live-action comicbook movie.
Look, it's nearly impossible to dislike X-Men, even when they're poorly represented. The character are inherently cool regardless of how misinterpreted they are; with that being said, the FoX-Men movies never did it for me since Cyclops was always my favorite. I was roughly 3 when X-Men came out in 2000 and I already liked Cyclops due to reruns of the 90s cartoon and the cool ToyBiz action figures my older brother had. It took 24 years, but the character finally got his due outside of the comics and seeing so many videos like this one, has been a joy
Cyclops has been one of my favourite X-Men since I started reading Uncanny in the 1970s at issue 107, first appearance of The Starjammers and the X-Men vs the Imperial Guard, the real beginning of the Trial Of The Phoenix storyline, then continued in issue 108, both issues focused heavily on Cyclops' past, his and Jean's relationship and how Christopher Summers became a space pirate named Corsair, Cyclops was really the first X-Man I really knew anything about beyond his being a superhero, so I kind of had a connection to him and his storyline from the first time reading the title. Then issue 109 had the first appearance of Alpha Flight, as as a Canadian I was an instant fan of that team, collected Alpha Flight every month when it started in 1983 too. Those three issues got me hooked monthly on Uncanny X-Men.
I stopped reading comics for awhile in the 90s when it became a collector fad, they were more about eye candy and flash or clickbait storylines with no real substance or consequences, killing main characters only to bring them back once the shock wore off became the norm, Death of Superman ring any bells? Or every issue having to come with a dozen variant covers? Yeah, people really thought they could buy as many issues of those comics, resell them one day and retire to a private island. Idiots, they're the reason those comics are practically worthless now.
It's remarkable that in three episodes that just fly by, they somehow have nuance & depth even as it's such a frenetic pace. I think this is the best the X-Men have ever been beyond comic form, in all media.
When you see the popularity of this show, it's a difficult thing to transition this to live-action...UNLESS you really just go all out in paying tribute to the source material. To not be afraid of getting weird, melodramatic, horny (how much of MCU fare is vanilla romance at best?) Fantasy needs to have all aspects of human interaction to really work. And the fact that they haven't depowered anyone (we know Storm isn't depowered considering her art that they're drawing from) And how this is not just a 'Wolverine' show - I love Logan but the X-Men are more than just him. Seeing even Cyclops be who he's supposed to be - everyone working on this show is just getting it right. And to be frank, if there's a way to build a bridge with the guy they fired - they should. He clearly understood the assignment.
I was thinking the same thing. The writer, Beau, GETS IT. I don't know what happened that led to his departure from working with Marvel or Disney, but if there is a way to have him pay his dues, and come back at an appropriate time in the future to resume work on writing more episodes into the future of this series, Marvel & Disney would do well to explore such options. I honestly think this '97 series captures the essence of the Xmen quite a bit better than the '92 version (which I watched and enjoyed all those years ago) and any of the other animated series and fox movies (though the 2nd and 3rd Wolverine movies were IMO very good). Honestly, Beau did such justice to the characters and the collective spirit of the Men.... Some have said Xmen '97 is a love letter to fans of the '92 animated series. I agree, but even more, it's a love letter to us fans of the graphic novels, who ate up the Xmen comic books (and Xcalibur, XFactor, etc.) going back literally decades. It strikes just the right tone and brings forth these characters, their relationships, and the socio-political landscape of their time, in their full dimensions, allowing us as the audience to become invested and feel the weight and impact of each episode and each character's respective storyline. There is power in stories and Beau wields his pen like its his own mutant power.
X-men Legends 1 is the only other thing to do so
“What did you expect black leather?”
Man, I just watched episode 5 and it is incredible. Maybe the best X-Men anything I've ever seen.
I accepted the Fox X-Men movies were the best we would ever get. I’m so grateful Disney and Marvel revived X-Men ‘97, and didn’t try to reinvent the X-Men story.
70s Cyke was awesome! He was so angry yet a zealot to Xavier's cause. I love the way the character just worked in early All-New All-Different X-Men.
That thumb nail is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 really proves how james marsden was the PERFECT casting for scott summers, shame they didn't write him just as good in the movies
Fox ruined Cyclops and Rogue in the movies, however, did granted Wolverine more height and sort of a leadership position. also ruined Juggernaut in X3. hahaha Juggernaut was placed as a mutant. Magneto had both actors as ok same with Professor Xavier, but did ruined some of the other mutants.
“What would you prefer, yellow spandex.” Yes! Yes, goddammit! Give me yellow spandex!
Yep!! That was me in the theater with my arms crossed, all pouty! 😂😂 "YES!! Actually I DO want yellow spandex!!"
What people dont understand about cyclops is that his powers have been broken for years....i mean he is literally incapable of ever leveling it up to his full mutant potential. Everything hes doing you all see as cool is him using crippled powers. Imagine if he never got that accident
I'm a 80s👶 who grew up in the 90s & I loved the OG XTAS. @1st I was scared to watch XTAS97 cuz I thought
no matter what they did it wouldn't be able to compare to the original. Why remake something that was perfect. But I was bn selfish. That's the point of the comic book medium. Characters and themes get passed on to new artist and they try to take the story to new heights and the fans decide what stays canon and what gets retconned. Plus I've been hearing nothing but good stuff
I unapologetically loved the Fox X-Men movies. They’re the reason I’m into anything comic book related today.
I do too! Look, just because it's not my ideal version of the X-men, doesn't mean they're without merit. X1 and X2, Days of Future Past, First Class are ALL fantastic films. Obviously Logan is masterful and I really dig The Wolverine too. But I do feel, especially when it comes to the team, they never quite nailed the rest of the X-Men outside of Wolverine and a few others. I think whatever comes next has the potential to be truly great if they do it right.
@@FilmSpeak that’s completely fair. I partly blame that on the time they came out. I am glad for X-Men 97. I’ve been waiting to see Gambit and Mr. Sinister get done justice again. I don’t think we’ve had that since the original cartoon ended..

Haven't finished the video yet but totally agree that leaning into the fact that it's based on a comic is helping this show so much. Not only does it compliment the animation well and give the show a cool aesthetic, but it's actually making me really want to read an X-Men comic. Parts of the older animated show did that also, which isn't something that I can say about the movies.
The Fox-men isn't perfect but mostly it's pretty good with a couple of great movies. I seriously have doubts that the MCU can do it better
So I've watched four episodes... there is good and bad. The action scenes are much better, I love this version of Cyclops, Storm is a badass and I'm glad they are showing just how powerful she is, Bishop was a good choice to keep around, etc. There is a lot of the writing that is good, however, there are a lot of places where the dialogue falls flat. It's really just dialogue in places that bothers me. I also don't care for this version of Beast; there is a certain eloquence to the character, so if you make him overly verbose that can be lost. Sure, he loves to quote and reference, but you don't remind your audience someone is smart by making them say big words, but rather by saying something insightful. Sometimes less is more.
I never really cared for Jubilee, but I'm glad she seems a bit more competent; in fact, I'm glad Jean isn't fainting every three seconds while Scott screams "Jean!" and catches her. These two characters kind of annoyed me in the older version... less so now and I hope they are actually developed a bit more and have arcs. I also never cared for Morph, I agree he needed to change a bit, but I'm not really sold on the new version either. Also not sold on Sunspot yet; they haven't done much with him but I think better dialogue would have helped.
3:41 My favorite joke in ‘97. “What were you expecting? Black leather?!”
It was good to see actual comicbook-like violence that the OG didn't have that the comics had. Forreals!
The Biggest Reasons why FOX's X men Movies Dissapointed so much... (Except for Days of Future Past & First Class)
1. No Proper Plan for the X Men Movie Universe ( Lets try to make a quick buck off a popular franchise was the thought)
2. Too much ephasis on Wolverine
3. Trying to keep the movie under 90 minutes for some weired reason. ( Avengers succeeded coz they took the time to build charachter & Story, another movie that failed epicly by trying to keep it under 90 minute was JL Movie)
4. Due to point No.4, No charachter build up & Story was rushed without proper build up.
5. Fox was too stingy to invest in other charachters ( All 3 Movies had a very limited x men roster)
6. Very Limited Story telling & Lazy writing
7. Dissapointing Director who was too busy with other personal matters
8. Poor Costume & Charachter Design ( If your changing styles of popular charachters you need do it with style not just do some crap to keep cost low)
9. Inability, Laziness & heads stuck up the A** to understand the X men stories & convert it into movies.
10. Overall Poor & Lazy Execution by the executives at FOX.
Fox didnt totally fail x-men. There are some very good moments from the franchise. Wolvie, Magneto (fassbender) Quick Silver. X-men 2.
For all the movies they made, if the best you can do is moments and not whole movies over 20 years, I'd call that failing.
First Class was the only film i could watch full on, The rest were Wolverine circle jerks
Fox told Wolverine’s story, not Scott’s and not Ororo’s. They’ve been regulated as side characters when they were the leaders of the X-men. Fox literally failed before they even got started.
Why do people read comments and think in absolute. I said Fox didnt totally ruin it. I do agree they ruined it, It wasnt all bad, there was some good that came from it.
@@UporaFilms my point was more about how big of a failure things were with Fox in general. Having 20 years of movies but none of them being good overall is a massive fail, good moments aside.
I have never watched the 90s Xmen so I went into this show blind. And my god; this show truly made me love Cyclops and Magneto. Its deffo close to the standards set by Daredevil and Jessica Jones
I love Cyclops in this one too. Especially now that I’m a father. His reaction to losing Nathan really hit me in the feels
Genius show, really. Apparently they are already making season 3. Can't wait to see what's coming.
I love x-men 97 it’s such a great show
People bring up Wolverine a lot in the comments, but it's not just a Wolverine problem, it's the quintessential live action problem of hyping up only the characters cast with the biggest Hollywood names instead of focusing purely on storytelling. They also always want to market everyone (especially women) as desirable, so they're not allowed to have any real flaws, interests or be funny. That's an MCU problem as well. That's why I'll always prefer animation, they're just outlets for the writers' and designers' ideas, not a beauty pageant.
I look forward to watching this video. I was unsure about whether I should watch this show but after just hearing the start of this video, I have decided to watch the show. Look forward to seeing the rest of the video.
I don't think Fox X-Men failed, it had awesome movies and not so awesome movies, but overall X-Men 97 is times better.
hopefully Marvel takes notes from this show with the mcu xmen
I loved the xmen in the 90s. First Class is the only good xmen film really, Singers stuff was always incredibly hacky. The boys’ teenage side hussle was pretty much exactly how the xmen should be done but with more blue and yellow.
X2 and DOFP are literally perfect
Fox xmen didn't fail. It had some bad ones but it also had great movies too
Yes X2! and....
and...
and...
The Wolverine?
Logan? (Depressing!)
I mean technically the Deadpools are in the X-Men universe!
...and NEW MUTANTS!
That's a good one!!!
Really wish that that was considered the beginning of X-Men in the MCU!!!
their moves had a few good scenes but overall complete garbage.
days of future past is their only good film
@@winwinsmissinglinesthought it was terrible compared to the source.
A little off topic (though the topic is amazing) I noticed in 17:00 something I didn't notice before in the Days of Future Past movie, and it's that they gave Logan his actual FANGS. Something that was always missing in all of the live action versions. He is supposed to have fangs, a bis smaller (though not much) than Sabertooth's, but they are still prominent regardless.
I Love This Show! The writing, the characters, the actors, the producers, the assistant that grabs coffee for whomever needs, All of them lol.
But forreal, they have been doing a great job for my fav marvel team. Keep it up Feige!
X Men 97 is awesome!
ITS TIME 4 ANOTHER X-MEN LEGENDS TITLE!!! NOT ON THE SWITCH!! ON CONSOLE!! nah but seriously... I love X-Men 97. It's wonderful.
Yes!!!! So much YES!!! 🎉🎉
X-men 97 is currently my favorite show. I fear the MCU won't live up to how good this show is.
99% of Fox’s X-Men movies are nothing but Wolverine movies. It made other team members act like idiots and made the love of Scott and Jean dirty.
GREAT THUMBNAIL! Giving you a LIKE just for that!
another reason i love x men 97 it gives cyclops time to shine as team leader it gives him the chance to shine
I think marvel should(not fully abandon X-men films) but lean more into making X-men shows. Someone on Twitter suggested making Hickman’s krakoa run into an animated series, and while ig atm it wouldn’t really fit the MCU that would go so unbelievably fucking hard 😭😭
I just started the show today and I’m on the second episode. The noticeable difference is Cyclops isn’t an afterthought. My only issue is why does Magneto look like Fabio?
Bro, we could get a renaissance of the 90’s animated tv shows
Reasons why it think the show succeeded and the films failed
1. the show actuallly treated the X-Men as a team
2. the show was not afraid to explore each character on a personal level
3. the show played a zero-sum game for all its characters
4. Every character in the show had their shining and spectatular moments.
5. The show was not afraid to explore the themes that the X-Men represent and deal with.
such a much more creative and effective way to place the reality of real-life oppression into sci-fi.
Can't wait for Apocalypse! Hands down favorite!
So does anyone know why Bo got fired? What I’m worried about now is that the second season won’t be as good without him. First 5 episodes have been stellar so far.
He wrote season 2 as well
@@shapiratolliver383 that’s a relief to know
He sent inappropriate pictures of himself to staff for “inspiration” without their consent
My hope is Chris Carmont writing the script and the Russo bros directing the X-Men movie.
It's been a long time sice Claremont has written anything that comic buyers have embraced, and he's never written a screenplay before. He's the greatest X-Men writer ever, but he's way past his sell by date.
Whith the show runner fired, I wonder how the show is going to keep the momentum.
its going to flop.
@mrx-od3ji I wouldn't jump to conclusions yet whether it'd be bright or bleak. I can't blame you because of Disney's recent track record, but it's too easy to think nothing can ever be good again and have bad faith.
@mrx-od3ji Please understand it's in our human nature focus more on the negative. It can be addictive. Whoever you're following knows that and took advantage of it.
@@UnrealNeoBat i grown up with the original xmen cartoon and loved it but xmen 97 im boycotting.
@@mrx-od3jiwhy? It's been great so far, and is representative of what an xman show should be.
Who else thinks that Fox's X-Men films never really captured the spirit of the comics?
First Class came pretty close imo, and maybe X2.
Nick Cage would be perfect as MCU's Mister Sinister. If you saw Renfield where he plays Dracula, he looks like Sinister and even kinda acts how you think Sinister would act, with a bit of tongue-in-cheek comedy while still pulling off intimidating and being a gentleman at the same time.
I've been thinking the same thing! 😁♦
4:56 this transition is insane
It is so good! I'm very impressed and thankful for the creators attention to detail and love that went into this new series!
Didn't the X-Men cartoon was made and aired on Fox kids?
IDK if y'all will agree but I feel that animated movies and series, being seen as childish by the big decision-making heads of cinema and streaming industries, need to be REALLY DAMN GOOD to ever be produced and taken seriously as an adult-focused media while live actions aren't hold by the same standards
Hopefully someday 90s Spider-Man would also make a comeback... Heck they can even bring back SHOCKKEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR
Amazing video. PERFECTION. Sums up everything.
Subscribed. Well done video & couldn’t agree more.
MCU and Disney you have the blueprint to make the MCU amazing again.
The biggest thing about the X-men is that unlike every superhero team that is loved and praised they are Literally risking their lives to defend their oppressors just shows their means and control makes you see what there really doing this for
I'm surprised Fox never focused on teens and young adults as the target market for the Xmen films. A franchise about belonging and self discovery seems like a natural fit for that market and could have been the next Harry Potter. The setting is a freaking school, it was practically begging to focus on young mutants
I'm just happy they gave Cyclops more personality than just "The Leader who Wolverine argues with."
Maybe the biggest reason is, Bryan Singer isn't directing X-Men '97.
Wolverine fanboys would watch the X-Men trilogy films and still ask for a Wolverine trilogy.
Because we like the character, however they seriously should leave the X-Men stories being X-Men stories instead of wolverine having the spotlight all of the time.
nah read any of the comics Scott is awesome. look at the Phoenix 5 saga, him basically becoming magneto 2.0
