What a great detailed explanation and tutorial for crackling! I hope you do more painting tutorials for your products, it's extremely helpful! I love your designs and have purchased from you a couple of times now I have the nerve to give this a try! Thank you! Dora
Thank you for the compliments Dora! I'm glad the video gave you confidence to give the technique a try. I'm definitely trying to find the time to make more tutorials.
Hi Kristin! You can spray it with a clear coat over the top and it will not alter the effect. But it's optional. I did not top coat mine. It's all preference.
I’m new to your wood finishing pieces. I just ordered two bunnies a few days ago. Those pieces are cracked, I believe, but also have pink (not crackled) feet, ears and maybe nose. So how would I go about painting those pieces? So very excited to start finishing my own pieces. Thank you for the tutorial.
Hi Debra! I didn't crackle the kits you are referring to. I spray painted them. But, this crackle technique would also look great too. I would recommend painting the pink parts with a brush or a make up sponge. These techniques are explained in our painting techniques videos. Part 1 and part 2.
@@paisleysandpolkadots I purchased my paints and brush yesterday. I will definitely be watching more tutorials before I attempt my painting. Thank you 💕
I have watched several of your tutorials and I think that I’m ready to get started tomorrow! I just purchased the needed colors and crackle medium to finish two spools, the heart picket fence and beyond measure kit for the SWTH patterns. Your tutorials are easy to follow and understand, I have a feeling that I’ll be purchasing many more💖✨
Wonderful tutorial! I've never painted anything like this before and my stuff is turning out so cute. Please make more painting tutorials. Thank you!
Glad you found it helpful. I would definitely like to make more for everyone.

Hello There! So there’s no need to top coat over the crackle? I didn’t know if it would alter the effect or not? Thank you!😊
