Hi Kristin! You can spray it with a clear coat over the top and it will not alter the effect. But it's optional. I did not top coat mine. It's all preference.
I’m new to your wood finishing pieces. I just ordered two bunnies a few days ago. Those pieces are cracked, I believe, but also have pink (not crackled) feet, ears and maybe nose. So how would I go about painting those pieces? So very excited to start finishing my own pieces. Thank you for the tutorial.
Hi Debra! I didn't crackle the kits you are referring to. I spray painted them. But, this crackle technique would also look great too. I would recommend painting the pink parts with a brush or a make up sponge. These techniques are explained in our painting techniques videos. Part 1 and part 2.

I have watched several of your tutorials and I think that I’m ready to get started tomorrow! I just purchased the needed colors and crackle medium to finish two spools, the heart picket fence and beyond measure kit for the SWTH patterns.
