I've owned these cars for 5 years now and I can confidently say everyone complaining about the Prelude curse either bought a crappy example or should stop prioritizing aesthetics over maintenance.

What you can do to fix that "black soot" over the rear lip is to reweld or extend the exhaust so the exhaust tip is about an inch outside of the rear lip. It will stop "baking" and staining your bumper!

After finally getting it running again- i CANNOT get mine to idle. New IACV and cleaned FITV - Cant find any vacuum leaks and coolant is bled 😭

The throttle plate might be a bit open .sign of a weak spring on the throttle body.mine wouldnt idle well and came to fing out thats what it was also the throttle position sensors go bad on the same throttle body.
