I just pass more than 8 hours trying to run audio true the 3.5 jack and nothing happened… your tutorial is so well explained that’s just sold me on Razer. I know is an “old” card but… if it runs and I have you to help me with this video, I’m already happy. All the videos that I watched was so poorly made and yours it’s so great. well... The Ripsaw HD arrived aaaand didn't worked. 30fpd, extremely laggy same times it recognize the HDMI, some times don't. Just went back in the box.
@@alaskanwolf7262 Nah I swapped to the Elgato and have had no issues. It's specifically a weird thing with this capture card. You can look it up it's a common problem

@Gamer Heaven Just to shed some light for the HDCP thing. This is not something that Razer will ever "fix". It is also not something that Razer has any control over. This is a feature of the HDMI spec itself, its an anti-piracy feature. Thats why it doesn't work with TV show apps.. To prevent piracy. Razer/Microsoft/Sony/Avermedia/Elgato will never patch/fix because it's not a bug. Its working exactly as intended. Razer doesn't want you to easily pirate shows either if they want to avoid not being sued out of existence. They will continue to make their devices compliant to the HDMI forum's specifications, forever
the only capture cards I've seen and used that will record anything, are those cheap chinese knockoff capture cards that say 4K on them. but those cards can't even do 1080p 60 without severly lagging, so i would avoid those, but alot of people are entized by the price of things. but you're not gonna find a no name brand capture card that will perform like the top recommended brands. they might cost more, but atleast you're getting good quality.

On your last video related to alienware, you mentioned soon you would drop a video on what to do once you turn on your pc, related to bloatware, apps, etc etc. my pc coming May 18th. would be nice to check your vid before it arrives. I think it would not only help and guid me but many others out there. thanks have a blessed day
Hey The HDCP thing also needs to be done for PS4 which can be found in Settings and then System! I just thought that would help anybody else trying to do this!
My wife had to retire hers after so much unexplainable artifacting on her end. No matter what she did in OBS or what console she streamed from there was always some form of artifacting that occured. Happened first on her ps5, then switched to her Series X and lastly went over to her Oled Switch changing her games during the stream. It became frustrating and it seemed no one on Reddit who had similar issues knew what to do either. Tried to rma the card back to Razer but we were sadly 1 month short of the 2yr warranty period so had no choice to buy another one. Eventually settled on the Elgato Hd60X and besides some very minor audio delays that seemed to have fixed itself with a driver update it works perfect. I hope Razer makes an updated Ripsaw that offers a 4k 120 option but with the speed of how current card tech is even if they achieve this it will be very expensive I imagine. Still I liked the Ripsaw design and what it offered back then.
Only capture card that worked for me me was Avermedia g573. All the elgato cards gave screen tearing on screen and recording. G573 gives you what looks like stutters while recording but when you look back at the content it looks fine. Only bad thing about avermedia that once in a while you get a sharp sound in your gameplay.
The elgato one is bad only because of the software for the audio, it takes full control, and you have to turn it off, it has been a long time since i messed with it, but i dont think you could just uninstall the audio part...
i dont even know why you get capture cards when you dont stream games or do lets plays your channel just talks about video games i do lets plays i use my 4k 60 pro mk.2 internal card for my neededs and anothero ne a elgato hd 60 pro 1080p card for retro consoles
My Ripsaw black screens or just stops mid stream (only working again after I reboot [sometimes multiple times]). Often, I have to delete the source and re-add it from scratch. I’ve used it on 4 different gaming rigs with same results (currently using it on Aurora 13). When it works it’s great. But when it acts up I’ve had to just cancel my planned stream for the night and say, “screw it”. Wishing I could afford a new capture card! 😂 wish Razer would fix it.

I got everything working for streaming off my pc but capturing my xbox game play, audio works for chat hearing game play yet I can't seem to get the ripsaw to also intake my own voice. I use a steelseries arctis nova pro wireless as a headset. How can I configure stream to hear my own voice?

A good quality mic. I went with a Logitech Pro Streaming 1080p cam, Razer Cynosa keyboard, Mamba Elite mouse, Bose QuietComfort II headset, and an Audio Technica AT2020 condenser mic. Inexpensive and does a great job. I tried Streamlabs OBS and didn't care for it. Went with OBS Studio and built my own alerts and templates. Streaming is a lot of fun :)

I've had issues where the sound will get out of sync as the stream goes on, so be wary everyone!
Sounds like a broadcaster software issue or internet issue

@@ghouling1111 Yes, assuming you have your hdmi cable routed through the device for passthrough. It needs to be off all the time.

you should do a review on the new elgato hd60x, its kind of a huge upgrade from the hd60s

My only issue with my ripsaw is the bugs in OBS causes the ripsaw to hang and i have to shut down the PC and cold boot it to clear it.

That is probably a feature on the card to keep people from record and bootlegging movies
HDCP encrypts your HDMI connection so thats why the capture did not capture a signal
